Chapter 133: Form An Organization

If discovering Jin Jiuchi’s identity felt like being struck by lightning, then knowing that the silver-haired man in front of him was the tiny adorable boy he had fiercely protected in the Cycle, was akin to setting off a nuclear bomb in Gu Luoxin’s mind.

He gripped the door frame tighter, for it was the only way he could prevent himself from falling to his knees. He gaped at Shen Nianzu, so shocked that he could not even form a coherent sentence. "You... how..."

Wasn’t the difference too overwhelming? In his memory, Shen Nianzu was an ordinary boy with no remarkable features, someone who could easily blend into any crowd. But this man standing before him... he was like a literal angel!

Shen Nianzu heard the sound of a door opening in the hallway and asked Gu Luoxin, "Can we come in first?"

Only then did Gu Luoxin realize that he had been keeping his guests waiting at the door. "Oh, oh!" He hurriedly opened the door wider and shuffled backward, almost stumbling over his own feet. His room could be considered extremely neat for college boys, but he still scurried to pat the cushion on his swivel chair, dusted his bed and flung his plushies to the corner. He gestured in fluster, "P–Please sit wherever you want!"

His gaze inadvertently landed on his sleeves, and it suddenly dawned on him that he was still wearing pajamas! Not only that, he had not washed his face and brushed his teeth yet! And his hair... damn it, he had not washed his hair since returning from the Cycle! Looking at the two male gods in his room who lit up the space just with their mere presence alone, Gu Luoxin was so mortified that he let out a high-pitched squeak from his throat.

Shen Nianzu gave him a questioning look, "Are you still feeling unwell? Why don’t you go to the hospital?"

"No, I..." Gu Luoxin covered his mouth as he spoke, his voice muffled. "I’m good. I received an infusion in the clinic yesterday. Um, may I... may I please use the bathroom for a while?" His demeanor was akin to a late student asking his professor if he could still submit the assignment, so nervous that he was on the verge of breaking down.

"..." Shen Nianzu was slightly speechless as he did not understand why Gu Luoxin needed to ask permission first when this was his room in the first place. "Sure, just take your time."

As if granted an amnesty, Gu Luoxin immediately sprinted to the bathroom like a spooked hamster, almost tripping on his feet again in his haste.

"How clumsy," Shen Nianzu clicked his tongue in disapproval. It was hard to believe that this was the same person who had summoned a giant kingkong that managed to KO a nightmare creature with a single punch.

He turned his gaze to the side in time to catch Jin Jiuchi crouching with his greedy gaze fixed on the box of snacks below the table. His hand was already halfway extended towards the box.

Shen Nianzu’s pupils constricted and he immediately rushed over to slap Jin Jiuchi’s hand away, scolding harshly, "Are you a hungry ghost or something in your past life?! Do not touch! They’re not for you to eat!"

When Gu Luoxin came out of the bathroom fifteen minutes later, he was greeted by the sight of Shen Nianzu sitting on the swivel chair with his arms crossed and a furious look on his face, while Jin Jiuchi knelt on the floor with both hands raised on top of his head, aggrieved.

"Nian’er, I was wrong..."

Gu Luoxin halted on his tracks, his expression complicated. He had taken Shen Nianzu and Jin Jiuchi as real brothers in the Cycle and thus thought nothing about the intimacy they displayed. But now that he met them in real life, it was apparent that both of them were not related by blood at all. Adding on to the fact that Xiao Shen was actually a full-fledged adult...

His head was instantly filled with a series of inappropriate images not suitable for children. If his mental state could be visualized, then it would be a leaky boat trying not to sink amidst the churning ocean, complete with the roaring thunder and howling wind above his head.

Shen Nianzu finally noticed his presence and swiftly adjusted his expression. He stood up and offered a hand to Gu Luoxin, "Sorry for the late introduction. My name is Shen Nianzu. Feel free to call me Xiao Shen if you’re more comfortable with that. And that dumb husky there is Jin Jiuchi," he shot a warning glare at Jin Jiuchi, who stared back at him with pitiful eyes full of tears. "Ignore him. He will die if he doesn’t act dramatic for a minute."

Jin Jiuchi cried out sorrowfully, "How mean, Nian’er!"

How could Gu Luoxin dare to refer to this ethereal angel with such a lowly name as Xiao Shen?! "M–Mr. Shen!" He shook Shen Nianzu’s hand with a manner as if he had been graced by a divine being. "N–N–Nice to meet you too! M–M–My name is Gu Luoxin, I am a freshman in musical theater! It’s an honor to meet you. Your hand is so pretty!" Gu Luoxin blurted out his honest thoughts in the heat of the moment. As soon as the realization hit, he instantly bit down on his tongue in mortification, wishing that he could go back in time to slap himself.

Damn it, was it something one could say to another person upon the first (real life) meeting?!

"There’s no need to be so formal with me." Shen Nianzu was amused. This was the first time someone had commented about his hand first before his hair or eye color. "So you’re a musical kid?" He mused. "No wonder your screams always sound so energetic."

Gu Luoxin: "..." W–Was that supposed to be a compliment?

"Thank you..." was what Gu Luoxin chose to say in the end. Even though Shen Nianzu told him not to be formal, he just could not bring himself to do it. "So um, may I ask... how do you know my name?" He finally braced himself to ask the question that had plagued his mind since he was calm enough to think rationally again. He couldn’t have shared his name by accident, right?

Shen Nianzu could see through the youth’s uneasiness at a glance. "Don’t worry," he reassured. "Your private information is safe. It’s just a coincidence that I have means and power to find you. I have something to discuss with you and since we live in the same city, I thought it would be better to approach you directly to talk."

Upon seeing Gu Luoxin’s confused look, Shen Nianzu flashed another business smile of his and asked, "Xinxin, is the sentence you said to me inside the Cycle still valid?"

"Huh?" Gu Luoxin was taken aback by that sudden question. He had said so many things, but which one was Shen Nianzu talking about?

"You told me you will be my teammate," Shen Nianzu explained, his pale purple eyes glittering in a resolute light. "Actually, I have always been planning to form my own organization. The rules stipulated that at least three players are needed to form a team. I couldn’t do it until now because I hadn’t found anyone trustworthy enough. But now, we have me, Jin Jiuchi and..." he trailed off and offered once again with a brilliant smile that almost blinded Gu Luoxin’s mortal eyes,

"So, are you interested?"
