Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Accidentally Kissed (Part 7)
Tang Yanqi changed into her work uniform, her ponytail tied up. She was very slim, and after putting on the uniform, she looked even slimmer. She grabbed the hamburger prepared by the boss, took a few bites, washed her hands, took a deep breath, and began to get busy.
A little after five, customers started to pour in gradually. They frequently had foreigners visiting, and although other staff knew a bit of foreign language, usually Tang Yanqi was responsible for serving such guests.
After taking orders from two tables, another waitress named Xiao Mei ran over, clutching her stomach:
"Little Tang, my stomach hurts. The table in the corner by the wall hasn’t ordered yet. Could you take the order? He’s a handsome guy..."
After quickly throwing this line, Xiao Mei ran towards the restroom, and Tang Yanqi chuckled. This girl was a bit of a fangirl, and when she had free time, she’d swoon over all sorts of handsome guys.
Even when rushing to the bathroom, she didn’t forget to mention, "He’s a handsome guy."
With a smile on her lips, Tang Yanqi picked up the menu and walked towards the table Xiao Mei mentioned. A refined and handsome man was inspecting the wine glass on the table.
Tang Yanqi raised her brows slightly — just as Xiao Mei said, he really was a handsome guy.
"Hello sir, would you like to order now?"
Mu Yunfan looked up at Tang Yanqi, smiling politely, "Thanks, I’m waiting for a friend. I’ll order in a bit."
"Sure, here’s the menu, please have a look. Let me know if you need anything."
"Okay, could Miss Tang please change my wine glass first? This one’s rim is uneven."
Without hesitation, Tang Yanqi took the glass from Mu Yunfan and smiled, "Sure, sir, please wait a moment."
She took the glass to the bar to get it replaced. The restaurant owner and cashier leaned over, "Little Tang, is that your friend?"
While carefully picking out a glass with an even rim, Tang Yanqi replied, "Nope."
"Then how does he know your surname is Tang?"
Since her freshman year, Tang Yanqi has been working here, having both a professional and friendly relationship with the boss. Seeing no one around, she didn’t mind teasing the boss a bit and straightened her posture, "It’s written on the name tag."
Every employee here has a name tag, displaying either their English name or a nickname. Tang Yanqi’s prominently shows "Little Tang."
After selecting the glass, she brought it over. Tang Yanqi returned to stand by the bar, but soon she was called over by the handsome customer again — this time because of an unsightly dish edge.
After this happened three or four times, the boss, seated in front of the computer, was a bit speechless. Finally, after Tang Yanqi had replaced the last item, the boss swiftly pulled her over for gossip, "Whoa, does this guy have OCD? Virgo, maybe?"
Tang Yanqi smiled and lowered her voice as well, "It’s likely just his professional habit."
"Huh? Little Tang, do you know his profession?"
"Roughly."
"So, what does he do?"
"Doctor, most likely a surgeon."
Having spent enough time together, the boss understood Tang Yanqi’s personality well. Since she spoke with such certainty, it must be true.
"How... how do you know?"
"He’s picky about tableware, yet very personable, without any disdainful or superior attitude. It’s routine, not intentional. He values time, yet arrives early when meeting friends. Additionally, there’s a faint smell of disinfectant on him along with many small nicks on his hands. Roughly deducing from these points."
