Chapter 1950: Section 1951: The Same Doomsday World
"Hmm." Dororo’s response was no surprise.
Maya had already mentally prepared herself on the way over, but hearing Dororo’s response, she couldn’t help but feel her heart skip a beat.
——Is this the inherent advantage of the Baiyuan Clan?
"How many prophecies did you see in total?" Maya asked after a moment of silence.
Dororo thought for a while: "About dozens, but many are meaningless images."
Maya herself saw many meaningless images in Mystery of the Stars, so she acknowledged Dororo’s claim of seeing many meaningless images. However, his first words were... "About dozens"?!
Even if these dozens are meaningless images, that’s too many!
Maya was continually surprised, but as Dororo’s mentor, she couldn’t show it overly.
Though Maya maintained a calm expression, her slightly dry tone revealed that her mind was far from peaceful.
"You, you are how... sigh, forget it, let’s talk about something else." Maya sighed: "Putting aside the meaningless images, what meaningful future fragments do you have?"
Originally, Maya wanted to ask Dororo how many meaningful fragments he had, but then thought better of it. If Dororo again mentioned a two-digit number, she feared her expression wouldn’t hold. It’s better to ask one by one.
Facing Maya’s inquiry, Dororo thought for a moment and said: "There are some I can’t tell the mentor."
Maya didn’t press on which ones couldn’t be said, but instead said: "Then tell me about the ones you can."
Dororo nodded and was about to mention some future fragments he could share when Maya interrupted him: "Wait, before you say, there’s one thing I need to ask."
Maya’s eyes were fixed on Dororo: "Previously at the exchange meeting, the doomsday scenery illusion I released. Do you know anything about it?"
Maya remembered that when Dororo saw a certain image, his pupils contracted noticeably. Although he quickly concealed it, Maya clearly captured the scene.
In Maya’s view, Dororo surely knew something.
After a moment of silence, Dororo nodded slightly: "Yes, I saw similar images before."
"Before? Not on Astronomy Day?" Maya asked in surprise.
Dororo nodded: "Yes, it was seen some time ago. However, the image I saw was static, depicting the doomsday formed, which is somewhat similar to the illusion Mentor ultimately exhibited."
Maya originally thought Dororo had seen something in Mystery of the Stars, but it turned out Dororo hadn’t used Mystery of the Stars.
This was somewhat terrifying... Dororo’s talent once again refreshed Maya’s worldview.
Since Dororo had spoken, he didn’t intend to hide anymore, and used Light Shadow Technique to display a doomsday scenery before Maya’s eyes.
Indeed, as Dororo said, the image he saw was extremely similar to the doomsday image Maya exhibited last.
The earth cracked in both, life withering alike, the only difference being one with dim skies, the other blood-red, like the last twilight of humankind.
The above image doesn’t prove both are the same image. After all, similar images exist in many places.
But they both share an unmistakable feature: the giant single eye in the sky!
The giant single eye in Dororo’s displayed image was identical to the one in Maya’s doomsday scenery!
This single eye linked the two images, almost confirming they belong to the same world.
After confirming this, Maya carefully examined the image but found no other clues besides the doomsday scenery.
Maya looked up, gazing at Dororo: "You saw this image, surely not for no reason?"
Dororo thought for a moment and decided to confess frankly: "This image is related to Pat."
Related to Angel? Maya’s eyes showed understanding, as the most important person in Dororo’s mind is undoubtedly Angel. The frequent target of his prophecies is also Angel... Although Dororo can’t directly predict due to Angel’s prophecy-blocking tool, the Baiyuan Clan’s talent often brings unexpected surprises to Dororo.
"Why is this image related to Angel? It seems a bit off..." Maya frowned, recalling the image seen at the end of Mystery of the Stars, especially the few figures as the image ended, "They should have no intersection with Angel."
Maya couldn’t quite understand and looked at Dororo: "Does Angel know about this?"
After getting a definite answer, Maya immediately asked: "What was his response?"
"Master didn’t know what the image contains, and I initially intended to find answers in Mystery of the Stars, but didn’t see a similar image."
Maya pondered for a while, decided to reveal the previously concealed information: "Actually, in the future fragments, I saw not only what I presented before, but some figures too."
Dororo abruptly lifted his gaze, his expression showing surprise for the first time.
Maya closed her eyes, forming the illusion in her mind, and as illusion nodes scattered, nearby the starry carpet, a circle of shadows slowly appeared.
These shadows varied in height and size, making it difficult to discern their identity from the outline.
But among them, two shadows had distinct features, and Maya just happened to recognize them, thus completing their identities based on those features.
These two figures gradually revealed their true appearance.
One was a white-haired youth with black cat ears, with an uncommon face but pale skin, exuding a cold, elegant, and alienated aura. Most striking were his pair of emerald vertical pupils gleaming with cold green light, carrying a chilling sense of aggression.
Beside the cat-eared youth stood a woman in a puff skirt, her most notable trait being the exaggeratedly large black lady’s hat she wore, covering half her face, only leaving an eerie smile visible.
"Who are they?" Dororo asked in confusion.
"You really don’t pay attention to the Wizards’ Realm affairs," Maya sighed softly: "Both are supernovas of your generation, this youth comes from Winter Academy, called ’Cold-Eyed Cat’ Wild He."
"As for the woman, she’s the most valued by Basket Witch among the Shaloo Ridge’s successors, Dong Liz."
"These two are currently like you, both high-order apprentices," Maya added.
Dororo wasn’t impressed by their names, he simply wanted to know: "Why would they appear in the image?"
Maya shook her head: "I’m also very curious about the answer to that question..."
"But since you said this matter is related to Angel, perhaps telling him these details might reveal something?"
