Chapter 1944: Section 1945 Not in the Southern Domain
"Of course, the right to display still belongs to you," Lapuye added.
Maya seemed indifferent. Since she had already displayed it with illusion techniques, she wasn’t stingy about it. Although the speculation about the mysterious object caught Maya’s attention, thinking it over, even if it was indeed a mysterious object, looking at the terrifying effect, it was definitely not something she could control.
Thinking of this, Maya felt relieved.
"Alright," Maya nodded. Under everyone’s gaze, she once again constructed a new illusion scene.
Since it was based on the original illusion, modifying the illusion node, Maya’s speed was much faster this time. Within less than two seconds, changes began to appear in the previously calm plains.
The first change was the sky, as the clear blue sky was instantly covered by gloom.
An eerie wind blew inexplicably, carrying strange dust, sweeping across the vibrant plains. All plants, once tainted by the dust, would decompose at a speed visible to the naked eye.
As everything withered, the ground also trembled, and massive evil spirits awakened underground; the entire plain instantly cracked open.
From the cracks in the earth, dazzling orange-red magma spewed forth.
In just a blink, the peaceful world had turned into the current doomsday scenery.
Everyone in Stargazing Hall focused intently on the changes in the illusion. When they saw the evil spirits resurrecting from the underground, they all frowned. However, what surprised them even more was yet to come.
A sinister skeleton army crawled out from the earth’s cracks. They all uniformly headed towards the end of the plains. At the horizon, masses of black fog slowly descended from the dark firmament, and within the fog was a glimpse of an enormous evil deity.
The terrifying evil spirits summoned the skeleton army towards this unknown deity, apparently about to engage in a battle.
Yet it wasn’t over. Just as everyone thought they were about to witness a fierce battle, a giant eye suddenly opened amidst the cloud-covered sky.
This eye appeared very abruptly but melded perfectly with the sky, as if the sky itself was some monster, and this eye was the monster’s eye.
It was like the Eye of the Sky observing the heavens and the earth, but this eye was filled with an aura of evil.
The scene ended here, and everyone within the hall remained silent. Almost everyone present was a prophet wizard who preferred staying within the Star Tower and rarely participated in large-scale expeditions. Such a horrifying scene thoroughly shocked them.
Even those who had participated in expeditions, faced the Abyssal Demon God... like "Pendulum of Frostmoon" Luci from the Frost Moon Alliance, were startled by it.
Because although this illusion couldn’t convey real energy vibes, certain details can’t be concealed, such as some unspeakable traits, indicating that the immense existence within the black fog was a high-ranked evil deity.
If this was a deity, then reversing the whole scene, imagining oneself in the situation at that time, just the thought would bring endless oppression.
Luci even felt that if what happened in the illusion were real—actual deities fighting, a terrifying Eye of the Sky—it might be more overwhelming than the battle in Lassudral itself.
What Luci thought was also visible to the Observer.
If the illusion adhered to the principle of power proportions, whether it was the evil spirits breaking through the earth or the enormous evil deity, they both approached the legend, perhaps even surpassed legendary existence.
If it indeed happened in the Southern Domain, it might be even more terrifying than the demon god disaster.
The prophet wizards looked at each other with pale faces, and the Observer frowned too, whispering exchanges through special channels.
The atmosphere in the Stargazing Hall seemed to have turned into a low-pressure zone, under which most people appeared dazed and showed signs of heart palpitations.
Amongst this anxious atmosphere, Dororo next to Maya looked at the horrifying Eye of the Sky in the illusion, a spark of mysterious light flashed in his eyes, seemingly thinking of something, he bowed his head lost in thought.
No one noticed Dororo’s fleeting anomaly, not even Lapuye, who was conversing with other Observers, overlooking it.
However, Maya, due to Dororo being beside her, caught Dororo’s unusual expression with her peripheral view.
Nevertheless, Maya didn’t point it out in front of everyone, behaving just as ignorant and worried as the others. But secretly, she paid a bit more attention to Dororo.
The low-pressure atmosphere in the hall was only slightly alleviated when Lapuye spoke.
"We’ve just discussed the massive evil spirits, the deity-like traits of the evil god, and the giant eye in the sky. They should not exist in the Southern Domain according to what we know," Lapuye said, "assuming if they were real entities."
"Does His Excellency the Crowned Star One mean this doomsday scenery isn’t the Southern Domain?" someone asked.
Lapuye: "We can’t be completely sure, but due to certain special rule restrictions in the Southern Domain, we guess their appearance there is very unlikely. Prophecy wizards from the sect must know this."
Lapuye’s gaze turned to a corner where a woman in a black divine robe sat quietly. She was the "sect" person Lapuye referred to, which meant the "Extreme Sect."
"What His Excellency the Crowned Star One said is correct. Such existence beyond world force is hard to enter the Southern Domain. It’s not due to lack of strength but some limitations. I can reveal slightly that it’s from... the Origin World," the woman in the black robe said calmly.
Just like the strongest in the Abyss wouldn’t easily enter the four Wizards’ Realm, those ancients and the strongest in the Origin World have formed a certain tacit understanding long ago; once broken, it wouldn’t end well for either side.
Under such a dangerous balance, the Southern Domain is unlikely to see such a level of doomsday scenery.
"Moreover, the evil spirits in the illusion that could affect deities are hidden within the earth, which is almost impossible in the Southern Domain. Because such evil spirits can hardly conceal themselves under the undead rules in the Southern Domain."
"And from the looks of it, the evil spirits and the evil deity aren’t on the same side, seeming like a perennial expedition situation, which is further impossible in the Southern Domain."
"So, I speculate that this might not be the Southern Domain."
But this is only a speculation; nobody knows if a small probability event might actually occur.
Therefore, Lapuye couldn’t make a definitive conclusion.
"Regarding the mysterious object... we’ve just discussed, unable to determine the situation. It might be that those deities have a mysterious object that concealed the prophecy technique. But that’s already unimportant. Isn’t it?"
Everyone silently nodded in their hearts, seeing such terrifying scenes made them too scared to covet any mysterious object.
Just as they knew some Abyssal Demon Gods held mysterious objects, do you dare to rob them? Not to mention Abyssal Demon Gods, even the Observers present mostly own mysterious objects; even the Alchemy Masters of Sky Mechanical City have mysterious objects, yet they wouldn’t dare act upon it.
Lapuye turned towards Maya, the only witch standing in the hall besides himself. He nodded solemnly to Witch Maya: "Regardless of everything, thank you to Witch Maya for providing this information. This information is invaluable whether it happens or not in the Southern Domain."
