Chapter 1942: Section 1943 Doomsday Scenery
After Shura spoke, the atmosphere noticeably became more lively.
Following that, several individuals consecutively shared their insights from the Mystery of the Stars. Most of the prophecies, although meaningful to some extent, were only beneficial to certain specific groups and not particularly useful to most people.
For example, one Prophet Wizard mentioned that he saw a large patch of glowing sea-grown Glowing Fluff Grass near the Maduke Sea Trench.
Sea-grown Glowing Fluff Grass and Glowing Fluff Grass are two types of Demon Plants. Glowing Fluff Grass is an Otherworldly plant, while sea-grown Glowing Fluff Grass is a low-level Demon Plant native to the Wizards’ Realm, which, when refined into a potion, has the effect of curing light-level Magic Power backlash.
Sea-grown Glowing Fluff Grass hasn’t been recorded for hundreds of years, so its reappearance is actually a good thing.
However, there are other potions that can substitute for Magic Power backlash, and moreover, sea-grown Glowing Fluff Grass can only cure low-level Magic Power backlash, so it’s not particularly precious.
This news might be somewhat useful for some apprentices present, as they might be able to make some money from it. But for the Prophet Wizard, it’s basically useless.
Nevertheless, even if this prophecy is not very useful, nobody minds now. After all, it’s not the first one being spoken, so there’s no pressure.
Moreover, having content to exchange with others is actually quite good. It not only shows one’s ability to interpret the Mystery of the Stars but also enhances one’s reputation, potentially securing a better seat during future stargazing events.
Of course, not all prophecies are useless, and two of them garnered much attention from everyone.
A Prophet Wizard from Winter Academy mentioned that Shelly’s Castle will soon appear on the northern plains of Aga Country, leaving a deep impression on everyone.
Shelly’s Castle, more accurately expressed as the research institute of Shelly’s Witches, is built to resemble a castle and is thus called Shelly’s Castle. Shelly’s Witches were Legendary Wizards from the Age of Fallen Gold; their research institute might hold some benefits.
The other prophecy came from the only female observer present today.
She is a witch with half her face hidden by a spiky mask, while the other half is stunningly beautiful, imparting a sharp aura.
Her name, "Faceless Amnesiac" Vila.
No one knows the past of Vila Witch, not even herself, which is why, upon becoming an observer, she designated herself as the "Amnesiac."
The prophecy Vila spoke of was also hard to gauge in terms of importance. She revealed coordinates within the Void, representing an entirely unfamiliar world far away from the Wizards’ Realm.
An unfamiliar world implies significant weight for this prophecy. But how significant this weight is depends on the resources this world has and whether it’s worth exploring.
Regardless, this prophecy injected fresh vitality into an otherwise slightly bland exchange atmosphere.
At least, the wizards of the Frost Moon Alliance were bright-eyed and eager. They were worried about lacking new worlds to conquer, and now having a coordinate, how could they not be pleased?
After Vila Witch shared her prophecy, the conference entered a period of monotonous calm as everyone eagerly anticipated when the next major news would arise.
They all speculated that the next significant news would likely come from an observer, as being an observer signifies authority in prophecies.
However, to their slight surprise, the bearer of the new major news was not an observer but the witch seated next to Dororo... Maya Witch.
When Maya, leaning on a cane, slowly stood up, she captured everyone’s attention.
Dororo’s earlier performance was astonishing, so everyone was keen to know what kind of prophecy Dororo’s Mentor, Maya Witch, would deliver.
Among them, many genuinely hoped for Maya Witch’s prophecy, but there were also those carrying malice, wanting to see a farce—
If Maya Witch’s prophecy couldn’t surpass her student’s, how would she handle that?
No matter their thoughts, as soon as Maya Witch stood up, even the slightest sound vanished from the air, as if entering a field of silence.
Absolute silence is indeed an absolute pressure.
A younger wizard might be unsettled by this, but Maya, with her age and rich experience, showed no change in expression and calmly spoke, "This time, there are many pieces of information I wish to know, but unfortunately, I didn’t obtain the information I wanted."
As she spoke, Maya glanced at the other side where Tuvalule was seated.
"While it’s unfortunate that I didn’t receive the prophecy I wanted, I saw some other future fragments, one of which filled me with confusion... and fear."
When Maya paused, murmurs finally arose at the scene. Using the word "fear" seemed to suggest this wasn’t a good omen?
"What I saw was the Doomsday Scenery."
As Maya’s words fell, everyone’s pupils changed. Truly, the meaning behind the term "Doomsday Scenery" was terrifying.
Suddenly, a great number of Prophet Wizards began questioning and pursuing further explanations.
Amid the clamor, Lapuye raised his staff once more, and the Star Secret Technique again enveloped the hall, slowly calming all the restless emotions.
Yet, the urgency in their eyes did not diminish.
Lapuye looked at Maya with a frown: "Are you sure it’s the Doomsday Scenery?"
Maya nodded: "I am sure, but whether the fragment I saw happens in the Southern Domain, I don’t know."
Upon saying this, Maya turned to the crowd and said, "I can recreate the scene I saw with Illusion Technique, and you can judge for yourself whether it’s in the Southern Domain."
Being willing to project using Illusion Technique naturally meant no one shook their head. They were all eager to discern where Maya’s vision of the Doomsday Scenery took place.
Maya did not hesitate and closed her eyes, mentally constructing the Illusion Technique’s framework.
Being a cross-discipline casting, even for a simple Trick, Maya couldn’t achieve instant casting.
After roughly ten seconds of waiting, Maya opened her eyes. Numerous Illusion Nodes arrayed into a projection before her, slowly constructing a serene landscape of a prairie.
Although the illusion appeared somewhat ephemeral, the scene presented was clear for everyone to see.
This was an expanse of slightly undulating yet generally flat grasslands. The sky was a deep blue, the clouds pristine white, distant mountains faintly visible, nearby several lush trees, and a lake reflecting the blue sky and white clouds like a mirror.
The grass was oil-green, with birds chirping and flowers fragrant, everything seemed peaceful.
Yet, everyone knew from Maya Witch that the scene she saw was the Doomsday Scenery.
In other words, all the present tranquility was merely an illusion preceding the storm.
