Chapter 1837: Section 1838 Interpretation

When Angel entered the hall, the Mini Signal Tower had already stopped operating, and on the other side, Dororo was deep in thought.

The sound of Angel’s footsteps brought Dororo back to his senses.

"It seems the impression Hua Que left on you is quite profound." Angel casually remarked as he sat across from Dororo.

Dororo wasn’t shy, nodding and saying, "Yes, Hua Que is a person of great talent and ability. Compared to Popota, she was more suited to become the heir of Baiyuan’s Flame. But unfortunately, she died too soon."

Angel looked deeply into Dororo’s eyes with his pale golden eyes: "Perhaps it’s simply because fate chose you."

Dororo smiled bashfully, but didn’t respond. He hadn’t actually thought about reviving the Baiyuan Clan yet. Compared to such distant responsibilities, what he wanted to do now was to cultivate properly, hoping one day to become a help to Angel.

Angel saw that Dororo didn’t want to talk much more about it, so he changed the subject: "Can you decipher anything from the picture Hua Que described?"

Dororo didn’t answer immediately, but asked: "Could you release another Illusion Technique drawing board for me?"

Angel nodded.

After a while, on the whiteboard floating in front of Dororo, appeared a slightly dim picture.

In the center of the picture was a tall figure with their back turned. From the slightly wind-swept golden hair and the decorative short cloak with droplets on the shoulders, one could recognize that this person was indeed Angel.

In the picture, Angel’s body was glowing, seemingly using the Light Illumination Technique, while the surrounding was pitch black.

If it wasn’t clear that Angel was standing on solid ground, one might think he was in a dark void.

Besides the glowing Angel and the dark background, there was also a long road in front of Angel sprinkled with starry lights, extending to the end of the picture.

It looked like Angel was walking on a splendid star river, heading toward the end of the darkness guided by starlight.

This picture was the one Hua Que previously described. Angel himself had looked at it for a long time, but because it was so dark, he couldn’t discern any useful information. So he looked at Dororo, hoping he could provide an answer.

"The information in this picture, I also can’t decipher. However, I asked Hua Que about her state when she saw this picture, some emotional fluctuations, and her level of attention to this picture afterward. Basically, I’m confident about one thing." Dororo paused, looking at Angel: "The location in this picture, should not pose any danger to you."

To determine whether there was danger, Dororo didn’t solely interpret the picture; he also interpreted Hua Que’s emotions. Because the prophetic pictures the Baiyuan Clan saw, though seemingly random, actually had some mechanisms behind their appearances, such as a large portion being guided out by one’s own emotions.

Dororo often saw pictures related to Angel because he had a recognition in his heart that his bond with Angel was deep; Angel was his one and only bond in this world, which guided his emotions, and those emotions would feedback into the prophetic picture.

Therefore, interpreting one’s emotions at the time can somewhat judge the picture’s nature.

When Hua Que saw this picture, her mood was calm, with no sense of urgency or anxiety, indicating that this picture shouldn’t cause any major waves in her innate Spiritual Sense. Thus, Dororo could deduce that this scene likely wouldn’t bring danger to Angel.

"Although I confirmed there’s no danger in this picture, whether there’s any danger at the end of this glowing road is hard to say. But, it’s most likely still safe." Dororo paused, adding: "In my view, this picture actually seems like an ordinary moment you might experience in the future. Perhaps it doesn’t hold much importance."

In other words, there’s nothing to worry about in this picture. The real concern remains with the picture Dororo provided.

Angel nodded, not particularly concerned about this result. After all, his main intention was not to have Dororo interpret the picture; he mainly wanted Dororo to meet with Hua Que, everything else was secondary.

After discussing the picture, Dororo proactively made a request to Angel.

"I want to meet Popota."

Although Dororo was the one who wanted to meet Popota, when he mentioned Popota’s name, he openly showed a sense of disgust. Dororo and Popota didn’t have any conflicts, but the main reason he disliked Popota was because Popota had once attacked Angel, nearly leading to Angel’s death.

So, for Dororo, Popota was one of the rare people occupying the negative space in his otherwise indifferent emotional landscape.

Angel didn’t ask Dororo why he wanted to meet Popota. He nodded, directly bringing Popota out, and created a Mist Illusion for Dororo and Popota to have a private conversation space.

Dororo and Popota talked for about twenty minutes, what exactly was said, Angel didn’t know. But in the end, Popota’s expression was somewhat downcast, continuously looking at Dororo, wanting to continue talking, but Dororo cut off the conversation and emerged from the Mist Illusion.

After Angel returned Popota back to the bracelet, he looked at Dororo: "You should know, Popota’s lifespan is nearing its end, yes?"

Dororo nodded: "Hua Que told me."

"Is there anything you want to say?"

Dororo unhesitatingly uttered a word: "Deserved."

"He’s brought himself to this end. So, he doesn’t deserve any sympathy. I even think it’s unnecessary for you to save him."

Angel: "You know I can save him? Did Hua Que tell you that?"

Dororo nodded: "Yes, Hua Que told me everything she knew."

"She certainly trusts you." Angel thought back and realized it made sense, after all, once Popota passed, Dororo would be the only living Baiyuan Clan member in the Southern Domain Wizard World right now. If Hua Que couldn’t trust Dororo, who could she trust?

"I’m saving Popota partly due to Hua Que’s influence. But more importantly, after Popota’s death, his soul would come into the hands of the Demon God. For certain reasons, I don’t want the Demon God to know about some of Popota’s experiences, so I have to save him."

Of course, agreeing to save Popota is one thing, whether Angel is willing or not to save him is another.

Previously, Angel wasn’t very willing. But recently, due to Popota’s contributions to the Shapeshifting Technique, his attitude slightly changed. However, there was no need to reveal these thoughts.
