Chapter 1771: Section 1772 The Meaning of Symbols
"What logo?" asked Little Six immediately. She’s not very capable in other areas, but having lived in Sky Mechanical City for so long, she’s definitely good at recognizing some family crests or Witcher Organization symbols.
Helen recalled, "It seems to be a symbol, not one from common language, maybe some kind of special script or a self-created symbol?"
As Helen described, Little Six quickly pulled out a personal handbook with a subtle fragrance from her inner lining, and a tiny pen hung on it.
"If you remember, feel free to draw it using this." Little Six handed the handbook to Helen.
Helen nodded, picked up the pen, and opened the handbook.
Angel could see that the handbook was made of a special kind of thin parchment, filled with dense writings, drawings, and magic energy formulas. The corners of the parchment were frayed, showing Little Six used it very frequently.
Perhaps Little Six noticed Angel’s gaze; her cheeks seemed to flush slightly. "This, this handbook, is what I use to jot down some inspirations and insights," she murmured.
Angel didn’t say anything, only nodded, "You’re very dedicated."
Angel didn’t examine it closely, as it was someone else’s handbook, but he glimpsed a few drawings with accompanying notes and formulas, all very accurate and included Little Six’s own insights, which showed her dedication.
Little Six lowered her head, feeling a bit pleased yet too shy to show it.
On the other side, Helen had flipped to a blank page, took the pen in hand, and began to draw the strange symbol from memory.
The symbol was very simple, with two parts: the upper part resembling an "Y" and the lower part even simpler, consisting only of a "-".
"Finished so quickly?" Little Six looked at the handbook in confusion. When she saw the drawn symbol, she finally understood why Helen called it a symbol.
Its structure was similar to some symbols but much simpler; it seemed simplified.
Yet, despite its simplicity, Little Six was baffled.
"I’ve never seen any Wizard Organization or Wizard Family use this pattern... symbol." Little Six tried hard to recall but couldn’t come up with anything.
Feeling a bit frustrated, Little Six had hoped to help Helen with her "rich experience and knowledge," but instead, she knew nothing.
Little Six could only turn her gaze to Angel, maybe he knew something.
Angel was staring at the symbol for a long time himself. At first, he didn’t realize its origin, but as he studied it more closely, he felt increasingly familiar.
Suddenly, it was like a bolt of lightning split the silent sea of his mind.
A glow illuminated Angel’s dull memories; a vivid image was lit from the depths of his mind.
When Angel realized what the symbol represented, his pupils constricted into a vertical line, his chest seemed blocked, and it took him a long time to slowly exhale.
"Sir?" Helen softly asked, "Does this image represent any Wizard Organization?"
Angel had snapped back to reality, yet the sea of his mind was still turbulent. After a silent moment, he spoke calmly, "I have a clue about this. I’ll discuss it with the Enforcement Squad later, and someone should be contacting you soon."
Angel didn’t directly answer Helen’s question, leaving her puzzled. But since Angel mentioned discussing it with the Enforcement Squad, it should... be fine, right?
Helen couldn’t help but ask again, "And Si Man’s safety..."
"I can’t guarantee it. After all, half a month is quite a while. But if she’s still alive, I believe there’s a way to save her."
Angel gave a very vague answer, which made Helen still a bit uneasy, but at least it was a hopeful outcome.
Angel stood up, picked up Little Six’s handbook, causing her face to heat up suddenly.
Yet the next moment, Little Six heard the ripping sound; it was Angel tearing off the parchment with the symbol, then handing back the remaining handbook to Little Six.
"I’ll be leaving now. I’ll directly take this paper to the Enforcement Squad later." Angel said, without any pause, picked up Toby, whose belly was plump with small fish snacks, and headed for the door.
When Little Six chased outside, she only saw Angel’s silhouette disappearing into the dark night.
"Why leave so quickly..." Little Six muttered, unconsciously tinged with a hint of regret.
At this time, heavy footsteps sounded from behind her. Turning to look, she saw Helen supported against a wall, slowly approaching.
"You’re not fully recovered; you should sit down." Little Six hurriedly supported Helen, guiding her inside.
"I’m fine." Helen shook her head, eyes thoughtful, speaking softly, "I just feel something’s odd."
"What’s strange?"
Helen shook her head again, "Can’t say."
It seemed ever since Angel saw that symbol, something was different. His expression and actions were similar to before, yet there was something subtly strange to her.
And, was it necessary to specially take away that parchment to inform the Enforcement Squad?
Many things puzzled Helen, but Little Six simply patted Helen’s shoulder, "Stop overthinking. With the Enforcement Squad’s help, there should be news about Si Man soon. Besides, those strange people didn’t kill Si Man back then but captured her. I believe they won’t want Si Man dead soon either, there must be good news!"
Looking at Little Six’s optimistic smile, Helen sighed, "Hopefully so."
Meanwhile, Angel was flying in mid-air, his robes flapping heavily in the night wind, as was the parchment in his hand.
Angel’s gaze remained unwavering, persistently fixed on the symbol on the parchment.
There’s no mistake.
This symbol means that... no, this isn’t just a symbol; it’s an illustration!
The upper "Y" and lower "-" might look like a simplified symbol at first glance, but in truth, this is actually an illustration—a depiction of a sprout breaking through the soil!
What does "the sprout breaking soil" signify; how could Angel not know?
"Seed Followers." Angel muttered the name of this group softly.
There’s hardly a mistake; these people must be Seed Followers. After Angel killed the last female follower in Paradow City, he thought he’d eliminated these pests thoroughly, but unexpectedly, they still existed!
Based on earlier deductions, these people came from Wizards’ Realm in Outer Domain, yet they appeared in the Southern Domain.
Perhaps they are the instigators responsible for the emergence of Seed belief in the Southern Domain!
If their arrival is aimed at further spreading Seed belief, then these people absolutely cannot stay, at least not remain in the Southern Domain!
However, Angel need not intervene in this matter; dealing with Seed belief is not something he can stop alone. Since this occurred in Sky Mechanical City, the best solution is to hand it over to the upper echelons of Sky Mechanical City to handle.
