[In a Go-Kart Track somewhere in London...]

VROOOM! VROOOM!

The beautiful sound of his kart’s engine reverberated in my ears. He deliberately stepped on the gas, making it sound more, trying to make me get jealous of him. I have to say, though—it was working. Ughhhh! I wanted to drive and race with him so badly!

But then, I didn’t ride any karts. Instead, I decided to watch him on the sideline and cheer for him. Why? Because I couldn’t trust myself not to unleash my driving prowess once I stepped into those wonderful, carefully engineered, top-of-the-line, super-duper fast karts!

"Ahhh... the temptation," I mumbled to myself as I clicked my tongue and shook my head, doing my best not to be tempted by them. "I’ll make sure to get my revenge on you for this, Eun-Woo’ya. Remember that, okay?"

"Ha-ha-ha. Sure, I’ll remember," he smirked at me, deliberately teasing me. "But first, you must remember to wipe the drool off your face. It’s too obvious."

"Huh?" I asked, but I had already tried to wipe my face. "Liar! There’s nothing! There’s no way I would drool over something like this."

"You fell for it, though," he shrugged. "Anyway, I’m off to ENJOY myself, my dear wife." He smiled like a devil taunting me. "See you later. Don’t worry. I’ll make sure to ENJOY this all by myself."

The nerve of this guy. Ugh! Somebody remind me again why I even felt sorry for this guy? What craziness went into my mind to think that?!

I smiled back at him and wished him safe driving with a very forced smile.

VROOOOOOM!!!

And there he went, dashing on the track like lightning. I had to admit, he was good at driving. Would you look at that? Such effortless drifting and turning, boosting, ahh... I want to drive.

Taking my eyes off the track, I sat on the empty seat especially set up for us by the staff. They even prepared snacks and drinks.

’Yup. This is all that’s left for me to do. The boring stuff of relaxing and eating or drinking. Ugh. If I continue doing this, I’ll end up gaining weight. I need to exercise when I get some free time, or else I’d be way beyond the allowable weight for women as a Mythos secret agent. If I went over the weight limit even just a little bit, it would affect my mission, and my stealth steps wouldn’t be as effective as before.’

A few hours passed with Eun-Woo driving to his heart’s content and me just browsing my phone or watching on the tablet. He literally drove like a maniac and probably too fast for too long that some of the staff began to be concerned. I guess this much was too much for an average person. As a secret agent of Mythos, I understand he had more endurance than normal since his body was trained for that. But since we’re going undercover, I should stop him.

I stood up from my seat, took a red mini flag from the table, and raised my hands high. The others had already done the same, but he didn’t listen to them. I figured I should do it to remind him of our facade. He couldn’t possibly ignore his supposedly pampered wife, right?

Not long after, he hit the breaks and stopped exactly in front of the area where I stood. He then got out of the kart, removed his helmet, and stretched his body.

"Ahhhh... that felt amazing," he said under his breath.

"I’m sure it did," I replied in a little pissed-off tone. "You almost forgot I exist."

I squinted my eyes at him while handing him a towel to wipe his sweat that still smelled nice.

"Did I drive that long? I didn’t notice. Forgive me, my wife."

He then leaned in and kissed me briefly.

"Don’t be angry at me, okay?"

"Ugh... fine," I sighed, arms crossed and eyes rolling at him.

After that, he went to shower and change his clothes. Then, he rested for a bit and had some snacks and drinks. As he did, I observed him to see if his mood changed. But then... he still randomly stared at nothingness, looking sad or out of himself. He was only freed of his worries for a moment—while his mind was focused on driving. Now that he was done, his gloomy aura was back.

Because of that, I suggested another thing to him.

"Eun-Woo’ya, why don’t we go somewhere really high up where there’s only the two of us? Is there any place like that here?"

"Hm? Somewhere high? The top of the mountains?" he chuckled, probably thinking how ridiculous what I asked was.

"Yes, something like that."

He turned to the servants and asked if there was anything like that nearby. One of them nodded his head, and so we left that place to go to the high place, which turned out to be the summit of Parliament Hill.

"Wow. It’s beautiful here."

"It is. One of the best over-looking spots," he agreed. "Why did you want to go here?"

"Well... ahm..."

I scanned around to see there was nobody around. The bodyguards were the only ones left, and the other people were ushered out of the place for a moment, leaving us alone in that area.

Then, mustering my courage because I knew what I was about to say might sound stupid, and I hate appearing foolish in front of this hateful partner of mine.

"Scream," I said. "Try it."

His eyes widened in surprise.

Yes, I know it sounded crazy, but please, spare me the nagging.

"Huh? Why would I scream?" he asked.

"Just try it."

"How about a... no."

"Oh, come on. Please?"

He shook his head and grimaced, probably thinking how stupid it was.

"Why should I suddenly shout out of nowhere? Besides, we might alarm people that might still be around. I don’t see why I should—"

"Okay, Mr. Logical. Let me explain it to you."

I breathed in deeply before starting. Seriously this guy. Just a bit more, my patience would run out, and I won’t even care anymore about you. Hmp!

And so, I told him...
