[Agent Selene POV]

A whole day passed as Agent Helios, and I continued to monitor the enemy’s lair using the camera from the Mythos spies we sent. There weren’t any note-worthy things that happened except for a few minor intel we managed to collect.

And so, while monitoring them, we also took the time to create a plan on how we would approach the black party event they mentioned the other night. We already came up with twelve different approaches, with different actions to each scenario that might arise once we’re at the party. We even submitted them to the three chiefs for approval.

As agents, especially for this S-rank mission, we needed to inform them of everything, including our plans, before taking action. This way, they could help us out in case anything beyond what we expected happened.

Still, the most important factor was the invitation and its secret code. Unless we figure out how it worked, all these plans we made would be rendered useless. Because of that, I anxiously waited for news from the Technology Department of Mythos. They were supposed to give us updates either today or tomorrow.

Just as I was thinking that, a call soon arrived from their department.

Ring. Ring.

I quickly picked up my phone and answered it.

"Agent Selene speaking."

"Good morning, Agent Selene," the man from the other line said. He was the same captain I spoke to the other day. "I would like to inform you that we have successfully created a copy of the invitation card with its secret code. I have already made preparations to have it delivered to your residence."

"That’s great news! Thank you, Captain," I almost exclaimed in my joy.

"The pleasure is ours," he politely replied. "However, there is something you must know."

"Hm? Sure. What is it?"

"The secret code is tied to the identity of whoever the invitation card was given to. In this case, the one we copied was meant for a woman named Su Hyerin—a celebrity known for her adult movies and alluring features. I suggest you do a character study first if you’re planning to go using her identity."

"I see. That will be challenging, but thank you for letting me know. If you could send me all the details you have in hand about her, please, that would be great."

"Copy. I’ll send it to you momentarily."

"Thank you."

Not even a minute in, I already got the intel about Su Hyerin, along with pictures, family background, other people she knew and who were close to her, and many more. It also included videos of how she talks, walks, eats, laughs, etc.

"This is perfect. I just need to study her personality and behavior, then copy her once we go to the party."

Already absorbed in studying her, I hanged up the call and walked to the couch while reading through the intel I got.

"Would you look at that—she was friends with Ms. Ma-Ri Choi, and they both liked handsome men. She’s known for her adult movies with new but handsome actors. Haaah... this means I need to act promiscuously, right?"

"What did you just say?" Agent Helios grimaced, obviously disapproving of what he heard from me.

He was seated on the other couch with his eyes fixed on the monitor, but he turned to me when he said that.

"Care to explain what’s happening?"

And so I did. I told him everything I had just learned.

"No way are you going in as that woman! Did you hear what the captain said? She’s a porn star! A friend of Ms. Choi!" Agent Helios exclaimed, looking so angry. "Just imagine all the scenarios that could happen once we’re there! What if some of the men she f*cked with before were also invited to the party? They would approach her, of course, and maybe, just casually touch her or kiss her! And you’re gonna pretend to be her? NO WAY! Or worse, what if the reason she’s coming to the party was to flirt and f*ck with someone, huh? What are you gonna do?"

He said all that in a single breath, with a wretched expression.

Well, it’s not like I didn’t think of that possibility, BUT... there’s always a way to evade those things, right?

"Eun-Woo’ya, can you please calm down first?"

I raised my hands and gestured for him to breathe and calm himself.

"This is why I’m studying how I can avoid that scenario. And also, I’m thinking of going to her home to do some research on why she’s going to the party so I can be prepared. There’s a lot of things I’m planning, really, and—"

"NO!" Agent Helios sternly said. "You’re my wife, and I’m not letting you put yourself in possible danger! And no one else is allowed to touch you!"

His eyes glared in anger as he crossed his arms.

Honestly, what he said was sweet, but... we’re running out of time, and by the end of the day, we still needed to do this for the mission.

"Eun-Woo’ya, I am your wife, yes, but don’t forget that I also am an agent. Being in danger is part of my job."

"Then, quit!" he snapped. "Right. There’s no need for you to be an agent. You should retire now and let me handle this case alone. It’s just another S-rank. I already completed an S-rank before."

"Ugh... Please say something that makes sense. There’s no way I’m quitting as an agent."

’I sighed and rolled my eyes. Seriously, what is wrong with him? Why is he so possessive all of a sudden? Was it that bad to disguise as an adult actress?’

I never disguised as one before, but it should be the same as all the others. I just needed to act like her, talk like her, and dress like her! In case someone tried to approach me or touch me, then I’ll just evade them. There were a lot of solutions to everything. I don’t get it!

As I was busy thinking and trying to understand his logic, Agent Helios got up from his seat and went to the walk-in closet in our bedroom. He took something out—a dress— then walked back out and towards me. Stretching out his hand, he said...

"Let’s see if you can really pull it off," he said. "Go and change into that."
