Acantha looked at Helion again as he still didn’t answer her question.

"Will you go with me?" Acantha asked, as she wanted to distract him from what was bothering him.

She saw Helion open his eyes and look at her.

"Where to?" He asked as he was still lying there.

"To the market." She said as she looked at him.

"What are we going to do there?" He continues to ask.

Acantha paused for a while and thought, "Hmm, remember that day in the market?" she asked as she looked at him.

"What about it?" Helion asked her as he was frowning at her.

"That day, we were supposed to eat at my favorite dessert shop at the market." Acantha said as she started to walk.

"Are you coming with me or not?" She asks when she felt that he didn’t move.

She heard him sigh before she felt that he got up from lying on the sofa.

Acantha couldn’t help but smile a little at what he did.

There are so many people at the market and she and Helion were both wearing cloaks to hide their identities.

"It’s so hot." Acantha said as she complained that she could feel her forehead sweating, and worse, she forgot her handkerchief.

"Here," she heard him say as he handed her the handkerchief.

Acantha looked at him, asking if he was sure that she could use it.

"It’s clean, don’t worry." Helion said to her, but that wasn’t what she meant.

She was even startled when she felt the handkerchief on her forehead and she looked at Helion, who was now wiping her sweat.

This is awkward...

"Thank you," Acantha said when Helion finished wiping her forehead.

Helion cleared his throat as he nodded back at her.

"Is the shop that you want still far?" He asked as he looked around and frowned, as many people were bumping into them, like there are some important people in the market today for people to flock.

"No, it’s just there." Acantha, she said as she pointed at the shop not so far from them.

They walked toward the shop and it seems like in the particular area there aren’t many people, which is odd.

"Welcome back to our shop, my lady." Acantha nodded at the shop owner, who was putting some desserts on the display.

"Do you have the usual?" She asks if her favorite was still available, as it was always sold out.

"Yes, my lady. The shop hasn’t sold that much today, same as the others, as the people were very much indulging in gossip these days rather than eating here," the shop owner said as she smiled at her.

Acantha just nodded at what she was saying, "How about you, my lord?" The shop owner asked Helion, who was still looking at the cake that she has.

"You want to try this too?" Acantha asked Helion as he was still staring at her plate.

Helion just nodded at her.

"Well, take care of this." Acantha said as she looked at the woman, who just nodded at her.

"And for the drinks, is it also the usual?" The woman asked, Which? She just nodded, and she turned to Helion.

"What about you? What drink do you want?" Acantha asked him.

"I’ll take the coffee." Helion said, which made the woman in front of them frown when she heard his voice and when she realized who it was.

"Y-you—" the woman said as she was still surprised to recognize who Helion was.

Helion shook his head as if it were a signal to the woman that there was no need for courtesy and that he was hiding his identity, which the woman just nodded to.

They went to the corner; they can’t see the people who will enter the shop.

Not too long when their food was served to them.

"You should try this often when you are tired or not feeling good." Acantha said as she ate her food when she saw that Helion was a little bit hesitant on eating it.

Helion just nodded to her and started on scooping his own food.

"It’s delicious, right?" Acantha asked as she looked at him happily.

"It’s sweet." Helion said as he continued eating the food.

They were still eating the food when suddenly the door of the shop flung open, surprising the people who were eating inside.

"Josie. Do the honor of ordering me some food," Acantha heard a familiar voice when it spoke so loud, like she owned the place.

"Yes, my lady," the maid said as she followed the woman who just walked in.

Noraya walked and sat not so far from them, and Acantha saw that Helion stopped eating.

"These people keep on pestering me and asking if I am crazy! Those ugly creatures!" Noraya said, as she used her fan to calm herself.

Acantha now understands why the people weren’t here, as they were very much curious about what happened to the lady who was now sitting across from them.

"You need to calm down, my lady," she heard her maid say as she looked at her master, who was still raging in anger.

"How can I calm down?" Noraya said as she looked around, "Where’s our food?" Noraya, said as she looked at the counter.

"My lady, we just ordered." Her maid said which made Noraya frown from what Acantha could see.

"I don’t care; they should prioritize us. Don’t they know that I am the future empress of this empire?" Noraya said arrogantly, and she stopped when the waiter arrived and Noraya scowled at him.

"Why did you even choose this place? This looks poor." She continues as she eats her food.

"They’re one of the best places in here in the capital, my lady. Have you forgotten?" She heard her say when-

"Wait—I I think or is it just me? But I know that!" she heard her say and Acantha saw that she was looking at them.

"You!" Noraya said as she went to their table.

"You’re Acantha, right?" She asked her as she occupied one of the chairs at their table, not giving any glance to Helion, who was still continuing to eat his food.

"Well, hello, Lady Noraya." Acantha said casually as she sipped from her tea.

"You’re rude," Noraya said to her.

"I should be the one who’s saying that to you, my lady." Acantha said as she smiled at her sweetly.

"And why?" Noraya asked her as she was raising her brows.

"You should know when to respect those who have a higher status than you have, my lady." Acantha said as she smiled at her again.

"And why would I do that? I’m the crown prince’s fiancee, and you will be just a duke’s daughter, while I get to be the Empress someday." Noraya said, which made Helion cough, which made her turn to him.

"And who’s this?" Noraya said as she just suddenly pulled Helion’s cloak, which made her surprised to see who the man sitting with them was.

"D-darling," Noraya said to Helion, which Acantha and Helion was surprised, even the people around them as everyone already knew that the crown prince didn’t go home to the palace is because he doesn’t want to be wed to Lady Noraya.

"Darling?" Acantha said as she was trying to stop herself from bursting into laughter.

If this woman knew that she was one of the reason why Helion was sulking and staying at their home , she might faint.

"What are you doing here with her, darling?" Noraya asked Helion, not even giving her a glance.

"I think you’ve mistaken me for someone, Lady Noraya." Helion said to Noraya, which made the other frown at what he said

"No, of course, how would I mistake someone for you?" Noraya asked as she smiled sweetly at Helion, " After all I am your fiancée." She continued as she turned to her and glared.

"Didn’t your father tell you?" Helion asked Noraya, which made the latter stop and turn to him again.

"Tell me what?" She smiled sweetly at him.

"There was no wedding that will happen between us, Lady Noraya." Helion said, which made Noraya’s smile disappear.

"You’re lying, right?" She asked as she laughed bitterly.

"No, my lady. We were never engaged in the first place; your father just made you believe in those things." Helion said as he looked at her coldly.

"No! This can’t be! It’s just a mistake, right? Tell him, Josie." Noraya said as she looked at her servant, who just kept mum.

"This is your fault! You seduce the crown prince! You were so jealous of me that you stole the man I loved from me!" Noraya said as she burst into tears while she was pointing her fingers at her.

"I think you need to talk to your father about that and no, I didn’t seduce his highness. Are you nuts?" Acantha said as she lglared back at her.

"No this can’t be, this is not how it was supposed to be.." Noraya said as she was crying.

Acantha frowned at what she said.

"This is not how it was supposed to be..."

What does she meant by that?
