Chapter 89: Emperor and Empress...

"Abanoon?" Noraya asked as she frowned.

"Yes, I am Abanoon," the mirror said, and Noraya laughed at it.

"And do you think I will buy it?" Noraya said mockingly as she chuckled.

This must be some kind of joke?

How dare this character deceive her and try to scare her?

"You know, I know this world is magical, but you didn’t exist in here; I don’t even know who Abanoon is," Noraya said as she chuckled, but only for a while when suddenly there was a fire on her bed.

"How dare you, a mortal, mock me who was a goddess?" The voice said angrily and the fire starts to grow, and Noraya starts panicking.

"I was the reason that you were here! How dare you laugh at me?!" The voice screamed, which made the mirror break, and that’s when the fire from her room disappeared.

"My lady, are you alright?" Noraya looked at the door when she heard it open and there she saw Josie, who was rushing at her.

"H-have you seen that, Josie?" Noraya said as she pointed to the spot on her bed where the fire is while she was shaking. When she looks at where she was pointing her finger, her eyes widen as there is no fire in them or any traces that there have been.

"There was nothing there, my lady," Josie said as she looked at her.

Noraya was surprised. She turned around to look at the mirror that was broken when the voice yelled awhile ago and to her surprise, it was still the same as it was.

"You’re here!" Helion was startled when the door suddenly flung open and her mother went out from there.

He sighed when he looked at her; Gineo had already told them what he had heard—what his mother and the baron had talked about.

And now, Helion was probably sure that she was going to force him to go to Lady Noraya again.

Helion went to his mother and kissed her on her cheeks.

"Hello, Mother," he said as he pulled away from her.

"Where have you been?" She asks him as she is trying to look at him as if he just went to a war.

"Just there, mother," he said casually, not saying the exact place, as he knew that if he did, knowing that there was still a feud between her and the duke.

"By the way, have you had the chance to see Lord Abellarde?" There she was again. He knew exactly where this conversation was heading.

"No," Helion flatly said as he went back to where he was sitting a while ago.

"He mentioned that lady Noraya was already well and that she was looking for you, if you..."

Helion didn’t let his mother finish when he put his glass on the table.

"If you may excuse, I need to go somewhere, as my knights were still somewhere," Helion said as he bid his good-bye to his parents.

Dion looked at his wife disappointingly, as he thought she had already learned her lesson when there son and him walked out that day and when their son didn’t go home for weeks after their argument.

"What’s the matter with your son?" Dion looked at his wife as she asked him those questions.

"You know your son didn’t come home here for many days, and yet you still didn’t learn your lesson," Dion said to his wife, who’s mouth open in awe.

"You keep on pushing your son to that family; you didn’t even know what they did on your back," the Emperor said as he sighed.

"And worse, you even pushed our loyal allies on the edge while you were humilating his daughter, whom you didn’t know your son loved," Dion continued as he snapped at his wife.

"What are you talking about?" His wife said as she was facing him.

"Those people are using you!" Dion said as he raised his voice. He loved his wife, but he also loved their son, and she was wrong in this.

Not just wrong, but very wrong.

He just wanted his son’s happiness, just like what he had when he married his wife, but how can he do that if his own wife was pushing him to someone else who doesn’t make him happy.

"What?" she asked surprisedly.

"I think it’s a high time for you to know; we’ve been trying to protect you, but you keep on pushing your son to the wrong people," Dion said to his wife as he looked at her and sighed for he didn’t even know how many sigheds he had made.

"Baron Abellarde was using his daughter to gain your sympathy, and in that case you will pity the lady. He keeps on sending Lady Noraya here as he wanted her to fill our late daughter’s position, but he knew that no matter what he did, his daughter won’t be a princess, unless..." Dion said as he looked into his wife’s eyes, who was looking back at him.

"Unless she will be married to our only son to become one," he continued.

"But why would he do that? Lord Abellarde was kind to me," his wife said, as she looked like she didn’t believe what he just said.

"Lord Abellarde was an ambitious man, as you see. He wanted Noraya to marry our son to control our empire," he said as he walked to the window to smell some air.

"Why would he do that?" She asked again.

"Why would he do? Simple, he will hand this empire to the Tenebrisayan," he said as he walked again back to where his wife is.

"Tenebrisaya? What do they do with this?" Helen asked him as she was frowning.

"Lord Abellarde was a traitor who was working for the Tenebrisaya; he was one of the traitors who sold information. He was the one who was selling those mana stones who killed so many people, and those became a tool for them to make their soldiers," Dion said, which made his wife gasp.

Acantha was now in the study when the door opened. She was surprised to see who it was.

"What are you doing here?" She asked as she saw Helion, who just entered the room.

"Am I not allowed here?" he asked, looking very tired.

Acantha observed him, as she was worried about what happened to him.

Helion went this morning looking so fresh when she saw him this morning.

"What happened to you?" she asked as she went to where he was now lying on the sofa.

"Nothing, just some things in the palace," Helion said while he closed his eyes.

Acantha knew that there was more something about it; Helion might now show any emotions, but she knew him.

"Is it your mother?" She asked again, which made Helion open his eyes.

She knew it!

Must be the Empress was forcing him to the Abellarde’s again.

Acantha knew that was the only rift in their family.

------

Abannon was furious at what the stupid girl said to her awhile ago.

That ungrateful girl—if it wasn’t for her, she wasn’t even here in the first place.

If not only for her dark aura. She would have left her die in her world.

If it wasn’t because of that stupid prophecy she had learned from Paul.

Paul was still her loyal servant, who was doing everything to bring her back.

She was glad that she took her, as he became her reliable, most trusted, and most loyal servant.

She was furious, as that body was perfect for her to be hers.

But that stupid thing didn’t even just mock her, but insulted her.

How dare she did that to her? She who has a goddess and her who was just a mere mortal.

If only she had her body, she would’ve killed her right there and then

Now she remembers the prophecy.

Nati sunt gemini, filia lucis, altera tenebrarum filia.

Surgunt ut unus.

Lucem devorare studet tenebris, invidens alteri.

gemini qui mixtus vivit natus est.

Sacrificium lucis et luctus dilecti filii caeli oriuntur tenebrae.

Mors non est finis. Initium est invenire responsionem his clues.

Sors et sors scripta sunt, iterum filia lucis et filius celi in tenebras ascendens.

Mulier, quae ex alio mundo venit, huic mundo perniciem attulit.

Anima signata libera erit, ubi pertinet;

A twin was born, a daughter of light, and the other is a daughter of darkness.

They are raised up as one.

The darkness will try to eat the light, jealous of what the other has.

twin that born with entangled life.

The sacrifice of light, and the mourn of unsaid loved from the son of the sky shall defeat the darkness that will arise.

Death is not the end. It is the beginning to find the answer to these clues.

Fate and destiny have been written; together again, the daughter of light and son of the sky shall rise against the dark.

A woman who came from another world brought destruction to this world.

A soul that has been sealed shall be back to where it belongs. ]

If Solaia thinks she didn’t know about it, then she needs to think again. Too bad Paul used her blood to open the book and see the prophecy...
