Villainess Want's To Ignore Them!
Chapter 72: HER, THEM... WHO?

Chapter 72: HER, THEM... WHO?

"What’s wrong with your face?" Acantha was greeted by the duke, who seemed to be waiting for her.

"Father," she said, as she didn’t know what to say to him; she can’t say it’s because of what she has seen, right?

"What happened? Why is your face so red?" He asked, and Acantha felt awkward more as he went near her.

"Oh, nothing, father. It’s just that... It’s just that the place where the prince and his people were staying was very hot." She said as she looked at him straight in the eyes.

"Is he alright now?" Her father said as she saw some worries in his eyes towards the prince.

"Yes, he’s fine. It’s good that Flamear knew how to help him." She said as she sighed.

"Have you eaten your dinner there?" The duke asked her as he also sighed too.

"No, we all fell asleep waiting for his Highness to wake up," she said as she saw her father’s brows raised at what she said.

The duke didn’t ask her more questions as he walked with her to the kitchen. Acantha stiffened as she saw Mildred, who was looking at her with a welcoming smile.

She can’t help but think, How dare this person smile at her when she was not even Mildred?

Now that she can see it clearly, the Mildred in front of her looks like she was faking her warm smile every time.

"My Lady?" She heard her say, as she seems to be calling her.

"What was it, Mildred?" Acantha smiled sweetly to avoid getting her any suspicions that she already knew that she was not Mildred.

"Are you alright, My Lady?" Mildred asked as she put her palm on her forehead. Why didn’t she notice it? Her hand wasn’t that warm anymore.

"I am fine, Mildred." Alcantha said as she smiled as she was blocking her mind from getting read by anyone.

She saw Mildred smile at her again, but this time it didn’t reach her eyes.

Acantha slept that night early after she finished eating her meal. She was now in her room when suddenly she heard a knock.

"My Lady, the Duke was requesting your presence," Mildred said as she went inside her room and opened her curtains.

Acantha has been awake for hours, but she doesn’t feel like getting up.

"Did he tell you, why?" Acantha asked as she was still not getting up.

"He needs to talk to you about something," Mildred said as she looked at her like she was waiting for her to ask her again.

"Thank you, Mildred." Acantha said as she got up from her bed.

She went straight to her bathroom and did her routine.

When she got out of the bathroom, she saw that Mildred wasn’t there anymore, nor did she prepare her clothes. She was about to take another step again when some maids went inside her room.

"Where’s Mildred?" She asked as she looked around her room.

"She told us she has something to do, Lady Acantha." One of the maids who was getting her some dress told her while the others started doing her hair.

After she finished dressing out, she went to her father’s study and found that he was not there.

Flamear, on the other hand, was following her behind.

"The duke must probably be at the other house," Flamear said, which made her look at him.

"How can you say so?" She asked as she kneeled in front of him and scooped him down.

Flamear was still in his tiny form, as only a few people in their house knew that Flamear was a divine beast that has a huge appearance.

"Can you get us there?" She said as she was really lazy to walk, she didn’t know if the rain has something to do with her tiredness or what.

Flamear nodded at her, and then suddenly they were already inside the house.

"Has she told you anything yet?" She heard Helion say, and he seemed to be talking to her father.

"What?" She heard what her father said.

Acantha didn’t wait for it to be answered when she entered the room.

"That I am already here, father," she said as she looked at the three men who were surprised when she just stormed inside.

"What are you doing here?" The duke asked her as he looked at her like he was confused why she was there.

"Didn’t you request my presence?" She asked as she raised her brows at him.

"What? I didn’t request your presence." The duke said as he looked confused at what she said.

"But Mildred said you were look-" Acantha stopped at what she was saying when she realized that Mildred or that person who was pretending to be Mildred was just making her out of that place as she needed something from there.

Gamon’s bottle was with Jarnus, which she left here in this house.

Could it be she was looking for Solaia’s book?

She always brings it with her; even if she was in the bathroom, she never left it, as that book contains a lot of knowledge about magic.

Meanwhile~~~

Baron Abellarde was looking at her daughter, who looks a mess. She has been like this since yesterday, and he was getting angrier at what happened to her.

The crown prince who was supposed to arrive at their home didn’t arrive, and he made all of his men look for him, and they failed to find him.

He has some suspicions where he went, but knowing the duke and the Empress were not in good term, he was sure that the heartless duke wouldn’t take the crown prince in.

"Why can’t you help my daughter??!" He was back in present and looked at where he heard the shouts when he saw his wife, who was yelling at the healer.

The healer only looked down as his wife was yelling at him.

"Where did you even get this stupid healer here?" He asked as he went closer to them; his hands turned into fists.

"And you!" He said as he turned to his wife. "If only you didn’t put your hobby first before your daughter, she wouldn’t be like this." The baron said as he pointed his finger to his wife as he was blaming her.

"Why do you only blame me? You were the one who wasn’t even their for your daughter; you were always busy to care." The baroness yelled back at him, which made him slap her.

"You’re just my wife! How dare you raise your voice at me?!" The baron said as his eyes were flaring in anger.

"You must have forgotten that if it wasn’t for my family, you were nothing!" The baroness yelled back at him, which made him grip her chin.

She always reminds him that if it were weren’t for her family, he was still that bastard son, everyone knows.

This bicth was talking as if he was pure when they got married; the reason why they were married is because this bitch had an affair with the stable boy in the Triduexfort County, which made the old baron go ballistic when he learned that her noble daughter was knocked up with some poor person who doesn’t even have any noble blood.

He was the best choice as he has no family, only his mother side, and he wasn’t as poor as the man.

He grabbed the opportunities as it was his stepping stone to become a noble by name and by power.

And she had her guts to always remind him that it was his debt to them when he was the pawn of her father.

He was glad that he killed that old man; it was hard for him and threatened to dispose of him from their family as they didn’t produce any male heirs.

If he wanted a male heir, he shouldn’t have killed his grandson and that stable boy who was the one who knocked on his daughter.

"You must forget that if it weren’t for you, you won’t be there," he said as he gripped her chin tightly, as the bitch might forget what should have happened to him when he didn’t marry her.

"AHHHHH," they all looked at when they heard a loud scream, and they saw their daughter, who was covering her ears as her eyes got bigger.

"No! Leave me alone; I didn’t kill you!" The baron and the baroness looked at as their daughter ran around the room, and it seemed like someone was chasing her.

They both looked at each other and back to their daughter.

Somewhere~~~

"Why is that stupid man didn’t come these past few days?" Everyone who was in that room looked at their emperor, who was facing back and forth.

"He said his daughter is sick, Your Majesty." One of the men said as he was not looking at the man they called emperor.

"Does he think I care even if his daughter dies? He needs to do what I want! He promised that it would be easier for us to defeat that stupid empire as he owns the north." Sullivan said as he looked at his subjects, who were shaking in fear as he raised his voice.

"But what happened? Duke Solaris took it from him!" He angrily said as he glared at everyone.

"It was not the duke who owns the north now, Your Majesty." He snapped when he heard those words.

"What do you mean?" He asked, if not the duke, then who? As far as he knew, his wife died along time ago.

"The duke has a daughter." He said as he looked at him.

"Daughter?" Hmm, he didn’t know that the stupid duke who always ruined everything has a daughter.

"Yes, everyone knew about her," one of his subjects said.

"Then why didn’t I know about it?" He asked as he glared at them, which made them shiver again as they didn’t answer him

"Find everything about his daughter, and find any portraits of her," he said as he commanded his people as he walked out of the place.
