Chapter 32: The Chaos In Luminasiarian

Acantha woke up that morning not forgetting what happened these past few weeks.

She need to ask some help but who can she ask?

She took a bath and dress quickly as she thought that she would ask for the Duke’s help.

But when she was disappointed to see that he was not there at the dining table when she entered the room to eat breakfast.

Maybe she was getting used of them eating together that’s why she was feeling a little bit disappointed.

After she ate her breakfast she went to her room when she saw and notice that Flamear was at her balcony.

Then a sudden idea pops on her head. If someone knew about her awakened power more than the Duke who was currently not there Flamear was the perfect one to teach her how to wield and use it.

"I can hear you" She looked at where Flamear and saw that he was still there at her balcony as he was looking the outside.

"As you knew using power was natural, what you need to learn is how to control it," Flamear said in a serious tone as he wasn’t still looking at her.

"But, I don’t know how to use," She said as she walks near him.

"You just know, you’re just hesitating to use it," He said as this time he was now looking at her.

Acantha sighed as she walks to her bed and sit there, she turn to look at her window.

Flamear was probably right, she might know how to use it just like what she did last night but she was hesitating on using it with two reasons:

First, The Real Acantha was supposedly can’t use any power and magic as she was believe to be born as a non-magical.

Second, She didn’t know how to control it just like the last time she uses it with those assassins.

Acantha realized something, she used it there and Mildred was also there, she might know that she can use some magic.

So, there’s probably no point of hiding it. She sighed again as she lays down and take a nap again since there’s really nothing to do.

When Acantha wake up later that afternoon when Mildred knocked on her door and told her that Lady Roys invited her again for a small tea party.

She didn’t want to be rude, that’s why she accepted the invitation even if she was not really in the mood to go anywhere.

Mildred helped her dressed up and took her to the carriage, she wanted her to come but Mildred refused and said that she has something to do.

When she arrived she saw that there were only few people who were already sitting there, she roamed her eyes to see if Noraya was also there and she didn’t see her there.

"Oh, it’s you Lady Acantha!" She heard someone said on her back and when turn to see who it was, she smiled.

"Nice seeing you around too, Lady Dreanna," She said as she look at the girl who was covering half of face with her fan. "Where’s Lady Roys?" She asked when she didn’t notice the Lady who invited her to this party.

"Oh, Lady Roys were just over there." Lady Dreanna pointed at her back and there everyone was surprised to see that the Lady that she first met was different from what she was seeing now. The Lady that she was seeing now was a lady who has some confidence in her.

Acantha look at the Lady beside her and she saw that she smirks, now she was sure that Lady Dreanna was the one behind Lady Roys transformation.

"You know I can’t just stand there back then without doing something to changed Lady Roys fate from these ladies here," Lady Dreanna said as she removed the fan on her face and smiled at Lady Roys who were coming to their directions.

"I was once like Lady Roys who were casted out by these ladies here when I first came here in the capita, " Lady Dreanna said as she was still not getting her sight out of Lady Roys.

I look at her and I can feel the pain in her voice as she seem to be reminiscing her past.

"I was once from the South too, Lady Roys and I both grew up together but my father went here for his business and we left the place, but we still continued communication with each other, and when she told me that she and her family were going here, I felt happy as I can finally see my friend whom I didn’t saw for years, but Eavngie didn’t want me to acknowledge her as my friend as she knows how the noble ladies here looked down those people who came from the south," Lady Dreanna said as she looked at her this time with sadness in her eyes.

Acantha knew that the society really sucked, some rich and noble people looks down on those who were lower than them, and thinks that they owned the world by their money and power.

"Lady Acantha, Drea" Lady Roys greeted them as she hugged Lady Dreanna who’s now smiling , now she can see that them pretending not to know each other back then was hard for them, and now they are free to call each by their names.

"Lady Roys, you look splendid today," I said as I complimented her, and she smiled at me again. This is the first time that I can clearly see her face as she was always looking down when she first had her tea party here.

They walked to where the table is to sit, the waiter serves them some desserts and Acantha look around, these ladies here were not the one’s who attended the tea party before, and they seems to be different from the ladies in the capital.

"If you’re confused why the ladies here are not familiar with you, these Ladies to came from the south they daughter’s of some merchant and some came from low noble family," Dreanna explained as she probably saw that she was looking at the ladies, "After all, we don’t want those Ladies who were here the last time , right?" Dreanna said as she looks around and smiles to everyone who were there.

Everyone was happily eating as the place was owned by the Roys Family, some ladies were even laughing when suddenly..

They heard a loud noise that Acantha was sure came from an explosion, everyone who was at the place panicking as they heard the sounds.

Acantha looked at the door and she can hear some people shouting from the outside.

"What was happening?" Lady Roys asked as she looks scared , while Dreanna was hugging her who to seems to be worried and scared at the same time.

"MONSTER! MONSTER!"

"MONSTER! MONSTER!"

"MONSTER! MONSTER!"

They heard someone shouts from the outside, the door opened one of the waiters who were serving them awhile ago looks pale.

"What’s going on?" Acantha calmly asked as she looks at the man who still looks pale and while panting like he just went from running.

"T-th-there, " Before the man could answer they heard another explosion and now every ladies inside the place where Acantha is screamed as the explosion they heard were near the place where they are.

"We need to get out from this place, "Acantha said as she looks at Dreanna and Lady Roys. The two nodded at her.

Acantha along with the two tell everyone who were there that needed to leave, Lady Roys were the one to guide them as she knew the place and where should they go.

They were walking when suddenly the door was blown up and right there some monsters emerges, the screams become more and more louder as they ladies were now pushing each other to run to the place where Lady Roys were guiding them.

"L-lady Acantha, what should we do?" Lady Dreanna asked her as she looks so scared.

Acantha was feeling scared too, but if she let it rules her then, what about these ladies?

"Ahhhhh"

They heard someone screamed in front of them, and-

"Oh, damn" Acantha said as they were no surrounded by monsters.

She removes her skirt and threw it beside, now she was wearing a pants which she suggested Mildred to wear just incase.

She lift her hand and use her newly awakened power to protect not only herself but, also the other ladies.

The ladies who saw what she did was left in awe as everyone know in the capital the duke’s daughter can’t use any magic.

Acantha made a ball of light and threw them to monster in front of them which made the monsters disappear, she twist and turn her body like she was dancing in a rhythm that only knows the song as she was fight with the monsters.

One monster emerges above her head and she bent backwards and came to face to face with monster as she make it floats in the air.

She clenches her fist as if she was clenching the monster who turned ashes when she did.

"Let’s go," Acantha said to the ladies she was with and they continued to walk, and when they were outside they saw a chaotic place, the once was a beautiful place, looks like a hell now as there are fires everywhere, and people where shouting while running away from the place.

She heard the ladies sobbed when they saw some bodies lying on the street, the place looks horrible, and where are the knights?

Why is there no knights in this place where we needed them?

She looks on her side when she saw two young kids running as one monster were chasing them.

Acantha didn’t think anything and she uses her hand and threw lightning to the monster, and when the monster didn’t died at first she threw, and threw more to ease the pain in her heart as what she was witnessing.

She went to the two kids who were now wailing and kneeled in front of them, "Are you both alright?" She asks as she caresses their face.

The two kids nodded as they were still crying.

She heard another explosion and she took the kids with her ,and went to where the ladies our, " This place is not safe we need to move, " She said with no emotions on her eyes.

They walk again as she was protecting everyone, she chanted a barrier for all of them to protect them when the monster tries to attack them .

They walk, and walk while she was fighting the monsters alone, every people they saw she let them go with the ladies and cast a bigger barrier for them.
