Villainess Want's To Ignore Them!
Chapter 168: D-Day

Chapter 168: D-Day

Acantha looked at the invitation that was in her hand.

This is an invitation for her and Helion’s wedding.

The emperor surely did leave some invitation for the Abellardes, and only a few people know about their wedding, as they wanted Noraya to know after they got married.

"Are you really sure about this one, Aki?" her father asked.

I looked at him and nodded as I ate some cakes that were served by Mildred, who was also there at the corner.

"Come on, everyone, it’s not just that I am going to die; I am just getting married," I said to light the room as the atmosphere seemed like someone was dying.

"You’re not dying but you will be gone from here. I don’t have anyone here from now on," her father said dramatically.

I know father can be very emotional when it comes to me, but it didn’t cross my mind that he would tear up about it.

"If Helion ever lays his finger on you, just tell me and I will kill him, and if he cheats on you, I will know and I will haunt him," father said as he looked at me tenderly with his eyes full of love for me.

"I know, father, and no worries, I could manage him myself," I said as I ate another cake again.

"And don’t worry, Mildred, you’re coming with me," I said as I looked at Mildred, who was sniffing in the corner as she was listening to us.

Mildred looked at me while she was wiping her tears from her eyes.

"The emperor didn’t want to wait for the empress, as he said that something might happen as Abanoon was just there lurking," father said as he looked at me while he was drinking his coffee.

"By the way, Aki..." her father said as he put down his cup and looked at her.

"What was it, father?" I asked as I looked at him.

"I didn’t see the Abellardes that were in our dungeon..." he said as he looked at me as he said those words.

"I hide her daughter and set my Madame Abellarde free," I said as I wipe my mouth using the napkin.

"What do you mean?" Father asked and it seems like I need to tell him the whole story.

----------------

"That’s why she wasn’t there..." her father said as she looked at her.

I nodded at him, but he seemed to look a little relieved at what she said.

"But what about if she runs away? I heard Paul is also skilled when it comes to wielding dark magic," father said as I looked at him, who looked worried.

It seems like her father still hasn’t gotten over Paul deceiving them for many years by pretending to be Count Iivan, whom her father cherishes, as he said he was more like his brother than a friend.

"No, we made a contract. Madame Abellarde was bound to me, and besides, she wasn’t stupid to do that knowing that her beloved daughter was in my care," I said as I drank the water in front of me.

Father just nodded at what I said as he also took his cup and drank.

"Did you invite Lady Dreanna and Lady Evangeline?" her father asked her as he finished his drink.

"Yes, I did. They are the closest people who I can call as a friend," I said as I looked at him.

Not that I have any friends anyway, besides... I know Lady Dreanna and Lady Evangeline will bug me if I don’t invite them.

"By the way, Father," I said as I called his attention.

"What was it?" he asked as he looked at me, waiting for me to say something.

"I just wanted to ask how things were going on in the south," I asked as I looked at him.

"Everything was fine there, and Lady Dreanna was helping the people there by healing their illness," he said as he looked at me.

I just nodded my head at him. it seems like the ability I gifted to Lady Constrin was being used for a good cause.

"I know what you did, Aki," Father said, which made me lift my head and meet his eyes. I frowned at him as I didn’t get what he meant by that.

"You were the one who gave Lady Constrin her ability," he said as he looked at me and sighed.

"How did you know, Father?" I asked as I frowned at what he said.

"Lord Constrin had told me in the past that their blessings was slowly weakening, and that Lady Constrin could barely even heal someone’s wound, and then one day she just can do it and treat something worse than a wound? And besides, you are the only one I know who could give her that ability, unless Abanoon would do it," he said as he looked at me as he chuckled a little bit in the last part.

"I restored her blessing as I know Lady Constrin has a good heart," I said as I looked at my father.

He just nodded at me. Father, trust my judgment when it comes to people.

We just talked that day, and the next day we got busy doing some preparations for the wedding.

Father hired his trusted seamstress, who also lives in our territory.

Then the next day, and the next, and the next, and the next day.

I spent it doing nothing. I was just lying there.

--------------

"My Lady you need to wake up early," I heard someone who was trying to wake me up.

I opened my eyes and saw that the sky was still dark, but why are they waking me up?

I buried my face in my pillow as I went back to sleep again.

"My Lady... you really need to wake up." this time I recognized the voice and it was Mildred.

I sat on my bed and was still feeling dizzy as they disturbed my sleep.

"What was it all about, Mildred?" I asked as I yawned and my eyes were still closed.

"You need to take a bath, My Lady." Mildred said as she answered me while the other maid pulled my hand to make me stand, which I did lazily.

They guided me to the bathroom, and as I could smell the milk mixed with rose and lavender, I knew that they had already prepared my bath for whatever they were doing to wake me up and disturb my sleep.

I step in the bathtub with their help, as my eyes were still closed.

The maids bathed me while I was sleeping.

"Lady Acantha, we need to get up," said one of the maids and I nodded as they helped me again.

Why are they moving fast?

This time I opened my eyes fully and saw many maids were walking back and forth like they were in a race.

I looked around to look for Mildred, and when I spotted her and she saw me, she walked to where I was.

"What was going on, Mildred?" I asked as I looked confused at what was happening.

"Have you forgotten about today, My Lady?" Mildred said as she looked at me while the other maids were brushing my hair, and some even did my fingers and toenails.

"Is there anything special today?" I said as I yawned again.

"It’s your wedding day today, My lady," she said and it seemed like a cold glass of water was poured on me and I opened my eyes.

"My wedding?" I asked when I looked at her.

"Yes, today is your wedding day," she said as she nodded while she was looking at the jewelry that I have and seemed to be picking out what I should wear.

"Oh, damn..." I said as I almost slapped myself, but I couldn’t, as the maids were still doing it with them.

How can I forget my own wedding?

I looked at the balcony again and saw that it was still really dark.

They are getting married when the sun rises, as she believed it was a good time to get married to welcome new blessings.

I looked at the wedding dress that was in my room. it was a simple wedding dress. it has the crest of the house where she came from, and there was also the crest of the royal family as a sign that she was accepting to be part of their family.

The dress was not just typical white, as she didn’t want it to be; she wanted something new.

The color she chose was a lighter lavender color with gold dust and black and gold crystals on it, and there was also some pattern for her sign as Solaia, which she secretly made the seamstress add on her dress.

She wanted to have a purple one, but she thought it was kind of not right and she wanted to have a simple dress, but the seamstress and her father didn’t let her.

She looked at the dress again as Mildred went to get it and she was assisted by other maids to wear it.
