Acantha looked at the back where they passed the border of Tenebrisaya.

There was a really tough inspection, as they were invaded by her the last time.

The knights who were guarding there made sure that they weren’t from the Luminasiarian.

"Have we really entered the enemy’s territory?" Acantha heard Ernie ask as he was looking around.

Unlike the first day when they went here, they were now riding a wagon that they bought on their way here.

"But why does this place look very dry?" This time it was Jarnus who said those words.

"This place is actually a barren land; there are only a few people who lived here and they were just blessed with water by the goddess Solaia, who gives them the river, which the people here seem to be abusing, as they were not giving those people outside the capital or those lands that didn’t pay so much tax to their emperor," Acantha said as she was looking outside the wagon that Jarnus was running.

Helion on the other side was just quiet.

"You have been here, right, Lady Acantha?" Ernie said as he looked curiously at the place.

Acantha nodded as she looked at him. "That is why we were wearing some fancy clothes, as the people in the capital would look down on us," she explained as she sighed while looking at the sky.

They had been travelling for hours and they still hadn’t reached the capital. as she remembered, it took them days before they reached it.

The wind was blowing and the weather seemed to be fine, but the sky started to get dark.

"It’s going to rain," Acantha said, which made the two look at her.

"The way the wind starts to get cool and a little strong," Ernie also said as he looked at the outside of the wagon.

"Is there any village that near here?" Jarnus asked as he stopped running the wagon.

"I don’t know; we just took this route back then, and we already passed the way where the exiled people here lived before," Acantha said as she looked at Jarnus, who seemed to be searching their surroundings.

"There’s a small place there not so far from here." They all looked at Helion with curiosity in their eyes.

"How did you know, Your highness?" Ernie asked him as he was frowning at Helion, who just sighed.

"Just like you, I have been here before," Helion said as he looked at her.

"When?" Acantha said as she looked at him with curiosity in her eyes.

"When there was a talk between the two empires, when the current emperor and I were still kids," Helion said as he looked outside.

"Just turn right there," Helion said as he instructed Jarnus, who also followed his instruction.

Acantha was just watching as he was giving him more instructions.

Not long enough, they arrived in a small town. why did Helion even call it a small village?

It wasn’t just a normal village but it was a small town.

Acantha saw many wagons and carriages that were coming in and out of the place as they were.

"We need to find an inn in here." she said as she looked at them, who just nodded at her.

They went out from the wagon and looked for a place while Jarnus was left there to secure it. The jewelry that she gave them has some communication spell that lets them communicate even if they are far away and detect each other.

Acantha, with Helion and Ernie, looked for an inn as she saw a small restaurant.

"Let’s eat first," Helion said as he pulled her by her hand.

They entered the restaurant. The place looked small, but it also looked decent.

They ordered some food, and while they were waiting, Jarnus asked Ernie to already give him some signal.

"Is there any inn here?" Acantha asked the woman who was serving them politely.

"Pardon, My lady?" The woman asked as she seemed not to catch what she just said.

"We were looking for an inn. I was just asking if there’s a nearby inn here," Acantha asked again as the woman looked at her.

"There was an inn right across from this restaurant," the woman said as she pointed them to the place. it was not as classy and big as the inn in the capital but it looked okay.

"Thank you," Acantha said as she gave the woman some silver as a token of gratitude.

Not too long after, Jarnus arrived, and he looked at them.

"We already found an inn," Ernie informed him as they were eating silently.

"Ahhhh."

They all looked when they heard someone shout and right there and then they saw some men who looked like some knights, but they were wearing some different emblem.

Must be a family of knights of some noble family here.

"You there, I heard your place pay a little?" the man who looks like he was the leader of their squad asked the person at the counter.

"I-I We have used some of our money for the reconstruction of our place when you broke some of the things here the last time." The man who looks like the owner said, which angered the knight and he was about to strike him when Acantha silently used her power to teach the knight some lesson.

The knights collapsed as they were being electrified by something.

"What was going on?" the other knights asked as they were also caught by some electricity.

"What just happened?"

The people start whispering as they look horrified at what happened to the knights.

Acantha almost forgot that magic was rare in this place, and mana stone too.

That’s why their emperor was aiding Baron Abellarde in the first place—because they wanted to monopolize the mana stones and make their military so strong that they wouldn’t need to rely on making some monsters.

"Did you make it?" Acantha looked at her right side when Helion whispered to her, but she almost regretted it when their lips almost touched each other, which made her cheeks heat and flush red.

Noraya was feeling fresh as she just got freshened up after she took a bath. she was really surprised when the maid who used to serve her here was already gone.

She tried asking the other maids; they just told her that she ran off with some boy.

She looked at her face again in the mirror as the maids where decorating her hair with some jewelries.

Noraya decided to see Helion today that’s why she was making sure that she would look beautiful especially in his eyes.

Besides, it was already late and the Chapter should move to where Helion was crazy in love with her.

She was now imagining their meeting; she even brushed her teeth just to make sure that her breath was good. she was really anticipating on seeing him, and kissing him.

Noraya walked down the stairs as the baron had already left the place early in the morning after he ate his breakfast alone.

"Have you heard?" She heard the maids were talking down the stairs which made her stopped from taking another step.

"Heard what...?" The other maids said as they sound curious at what the other maid was about to say.

"The empress has already found a new future crown princess..." The maid said, which made Noraya stiffen at what she heard.

No...

It couldn’t be?

"Why would the empress find another one when our lady was fine here?" one of the maid said, which made Noraya nodded to agree with her.

Why would that hag have found someone when she was still here?

Did that woman forget that when she was depressed, Noraya was there to comfort her?

And when she was yearning for a daughter Noraya was there for her too.

So how dare she find some replacement for her?

Noraya clenches her hand into a fist.

She wouldn’t let anyone steal her dream and her life.

Helion was hers to begin with; the story must end the way she wrote it.

She could feel her anger rising as she gripped her hand tighted to the handle where she was still listening to maids gossip.

She can’t see anything but black and red.

She won’t forgive anyone who would dare steal what’s hers.

The dungeon was quiet; the knights didn’t even notice that one of their prisoners was quieter than usual.

Lady Noris woke up feeling that there was something wrong.

Like she could feel her heart faster than normal. She looked at the cell across from her and there she saw her daughter, whose back was facing her.

She looked at her again when she noticed something.

"Eiranish..." she whispered as she tried to get her hand to her, which she knew was impossible.

No, no, she began panicking when she noticed that her back looked very pale, and she looked like she wasn’t breathing.

"Nooo...!!" she shouted in fear.

Acantha didn’t know why she suddenly felt something.

"What’s wrong?" Helion asked her as they were walking at the place they just finished eating, while Ernie and Jarnus were at their back.

"Nothing," Acantha said as she shook her head.

They went inside the inn, which was small but this would do until they went to the capital, or maybe they should start looking here.

"So this is what the town looks like in our enemies territory..." Ernie said, which made them look at him and glare.
