Helion just closed his eyes when he was summoned that some monsters were attacking the capital again and that they were near on their way to the palace this time.

There had been no days that they could sleep in peace since Abanoon was resurrected, and they still had no idea whose body she took for herself.

Helion went to meet the other at the capital; it was good that his mother had already removed the spell she made.

When he got there, the knights were already fighting the monster, and Helion saw Jarnus and Ernie, who was also fighting along with the other knights.

"Well, well, well. Look who’s here?" Helion turned around and saw his biggest enemy.

"It seems like you hadn’t gotten enough sleep?" Sulllaivan, he asked mockingly as he also smirked at him.

Helion glared at him as his hands formed into a fist.

"How does it feel to not have any allies now?" Sullaivan asked which made him frown at him, as how did he learn about what happened between the imperial family and the Solaris?

"Keep your mouth shut, Sullaivan." Helion said as he glared at him again, who just laughed mockingly.

"Oh, I’ve seen the lady... Isn’t she quite beautiful? I heard there’s no marriage prospect for her yet." Sullaivan continued to say, as he looked at him, looking for his reaction.

How should he react? He doesn’t have any right to Lady Acantha, and besides, he keeps on letting her down and hasn’t even protected her against his mother.

"What’s with the face? You know... I also learned that the duke had already died; should I ask the lady for her hand myself?" Sullaivan said to him, and this time Helion lost his patience and sent him flying far from him.

"You didn’t know when to close your mouth." Helion said as he looked down on Sullaivan when he teleported himself to where he had sent him flying.

He saw he was about to stand when he kicked him again making him groan in pain.

"You keep on talking and talking while being this weak." Helion said as he looked at Sullaivan coldly, who spits some blood.

"You, you will pay for this." Sullaivan said and he attacked him using his power, where Helion easily blocked it with his own.

The man keeps on attacking him, and Helion had noticed that while fighting with Sullaivan, it feels like his power has increased from the last time they fought in the north.

"Is this what you all got?" Helion asked him boredly as he was testing how far he had improved.

"Shut up! Shut up!" Sullaivan shouted, as he glared at him. "You still didn’t know me. I will kill you and after that I will kill your family and people!" Sullaivan said as he took some breaths before he made a huge ball of a dark hole that was ready to swallow Helion.

Now, he was certain that he had been powered up by Abanoon.

"It seems like the high and mighty emperor of Tenebrisya was also a slave." Helion said, which made Sullaivan stop and look at him angrily.

"What did you say?" He demanded as his energy increased and Helion just hit something inside him.

There are some things that Sullaivan hated and one of them is being looked at and having someone higher than him, which Helion knew and used to trigger the latter.

"I said what I said." He calmly said and he saw the anger in the latter’s eyes as his energy increased more. Helion knew that the more he used all his energy, the weaker he would be, and so would his power.

He looked at his hands and saw that they got bigger but also weaker at the same time.

And when Sullaivan throws it, Helion draws his sword and infuses his man on it to block Sullaivan’s attack.

"How? What did you do?" Helion looked at Sullaivan as he looked mad while asking him some questions.

"You, why can’t you die?" He just looked at him coldly as he asked those questions and him, and keeps on attacking him again and again.

He was about to attack the latter and capture him when suddenly, out of nowhere, his attacks were blocked by someone.

"Get a hold of yourself." Helion heard the man say and when he turned. Helion’s eyes darkened as he recognized the man.

Helion saw that he put some spell on Sullaivan as the latter fell down on the ground unconsciously.

"Do you know where Aki is?" Helion looked at the man with anger in his eyes as he said Acantha’s name, which only the duke calls her.

"And what is your right to call her Aki after you and your father deceived us from the very beginning?" Helion asked which made the man taken back at his question.

"Just tell me if you know where she is." The man asked him desperately as he looked at him and Helion could tell that he really was worried about the lady, who he too cared about.

"I don’t know, and even if I knew, I wouldn’t tell it to you after what you, your father, and your master did to her father. Do you think Acantha will still forgive you?" Helion asked as his face still has no emotions.

"What do you mean?" The man asks him, looking confused at what he just said.

"The duke died." Helion said as he watched the man’s reaction and he saw that he looked confused and shocked at the same time.

"What did you say?" Evander asked him again as he still looked shocked at what he just spilled.

"The duke was already dead." Helion said and he saw the man look sad.

"But how? Are you just playing with me right now? Because if you are, I am going to kill you." Evander said to him as he looked angry enough to grit his teeth and threaten him.

"That is if you can, and why don’t you ask your father?" Helion said as he looked at him once again before looking around them.

He saw the confusion on his face as he looked around and back to him again.

"My father? What has he got to do with the duke being dead?" Evander asked him and Helion was getting pissed as he was here for fighting against the enemy and not talking.

"The duke died because of those soul suckers, which are known by others as death." Helion said as he looked at the man who looked more confused, Is this man playing games with him?

How come he didn’t know when he was with his father all the time?

"Don’t tell me your father didn’t tell you all about this?" Helion asked to confirm his suspicions.

Evander shook his father as he looked at the ground and kept mumbling something before he looked at him and turned his back away from him to get Sullaivan and then they disappeared.

Meanwhile, some people who had been rescued were praying for their gods and goddesses to protect them from any danger.

There had been no days since nothing happened; it seems like they were facing an everyday battle, and they may never know whether they will win or lose.

The empire’s defense had been weakened ever since the duke left and departed himself from the Solaris.

And what’s worse, they pushed the lady who keeps on helping them as they all listened to the rumor of her being the one who brought the curse on their empire.

They almost killed her that day when they brought their torches with them while rallying outside the duchy, as they can’t even step one foot to go inside.

"What would happen to us now?" The woman was with her family, asking the others as they all looked bothered.

They were on their way to the back from the south, as it seems like the south also despises them for what they did to the Solaris and Klartis.

Just like the Solaris, they couldn’t enter the south as it was also protected by some kind of barrier.

They were all feeling hopeless at the moment, knowing the consequence of what they had done to the lady back then...
