Chapter 211: 5.21 All Yours

Terra blinked.

Oh.

OH. A kiss, a physical act of intimacy that required you to brush your lips against someone else’s skin, his brain supplied unhelpfully.

Terra couldn’t take his eyes off the sinful curl of the sentinel’s lips. It wasn’t once or twice he had caught himself staring at Kai’s lips without realizing, wondering how could someone’s lips looked so soft and delectable at the same time and how would it feel like if he were to take it in between his teeth, and every time he had to force himself to scourge the thought. He had no idea where such a strange thought sprung up from and it made him feel all warm and tingly. True to the sentinel’s words, Terra was... overwhelmed. He truly had no idea how to name what he was feeling.

Right, kiss. Terra focused his sight on Kai’s lips and clenched his fists in determination. He might be able to— no, he could definitely do this. He let out an exhale and quietly inched closer, his heart beating a hundred miles per second.

In front of him, Lu Yizhou was waiting patiently, with his arms open in invitation and plush lips slightly parted. Like a moth drawn to the flame, Terra floated closer without realizing and when he came to his senses, his hands had already found their way to the base of the sentinel’s waist.

Terra almost felt betrayed by the audacity of his own hands which no longer listened to him until he was distracted by the firmness of Kai’s abs under his palm. Tentatively, he glided his hands up across the soft fabric of the man’s shirt and oh, Terra had never been so proud of his courage until now. He could already see through the clothes that Kai was... ripped but still, as his fingers traced the solid lines of the man’s abdominal muscles, Terra felt dizzy and lightheaded, awestruck by the physique that was so different from his slender one. His breath was coming out ragged and quick as if he had just run a marathon.

Under his exploring touches, Lu Yizhou shivered and Terra looked up to see the man’s silver eyes darkened, almost dark gray in color. It was as if Terra was gazing straight into the eye of the storm, floating helplessly and could only brace the harsh weather that threatened to take him apart. He bit his lips without realizing and Lu Yizhou’s eyes lowered to follow the motion. Terra’s breath instantly caught in his throat.

The tension between them intensified, as if sparks could form in the air at any second from the way they looked into each other’s eyes. Terra might have been frozen for five seconds or it could also be five hours when Lu Yizhou’s arms shifted from his side. He broke out from the trance in time to see the man’s broad palm hovering around him. His warm breath brushed against Terra’s cheeks as he whispered, voice deeper and lower than usual. "I am going to touch you, okay?"

Terra blinked dazedly, too overwhelmed with the onslaught of Kai’s strong presence — his intense gaze, his velvety voice, his tantalizing scent, his breath, his warmth, everything — around him. He gave a jerky nod and Kai’s lips curled into that small, alluring smile again — how could he be allowed to look so gorgeous?

Terra sensed the touch coming before it actually landed. His skin prickled, hands curled against the man’s chest and he tensed ever so slightly when a pair of strong, steel-like arms came around him, so so gently that it felt like the touch of cotton. Terra’s chest was akin to a cage full of hummingbirds now, their wings fluttering wildly as if going to jump out of his mouth. His body was trembling ever so slightly as Lu Yizhou embraced him closer and tilted his head up with two fingers grasping his chin.

He followed limply and craned his neck up, feeling like a puppet whose strings were held under the man’s mercy, free for him to tug and pull however he pleased. He was practically going to vibrate out of his own skin but as Lu Yizhou’s face drew near, everything stilled. His breath, his heartbeat, his buzzing mind, the air around him, the time and space. His every sense was painfully aware of the man’s breath that was brushing against his lips.

Lu Yizhou let out a deep hum that rumbled deep within his chest, travelling from Terra’s palm to his entire body and making him shiver deliciously. He brushed the tip of their noses together. "Breathe, my love."

Terra let out a gasp and like a bursting dam, everything slammed back into him with the force of a raging tsunami. The rushing blood in his ears, his wild heartbeats that almost bordered to pain, the large palm splayed behind his back and the other supporting the back of his neck... Why did it suddenly feel so hot? Terra could feel heat creeping up his cheeks and he hadn’t even done anything yet, for God’s sake! It was then that he registered Kai’s term of endearing and oh, Terra almost cried from how marvelous it sounded. His love. Terra was his love. Goodness, he was going to die anytime soon because his chest was going to explode.

Terra’s body swayed and finally, he gathered the surge of courage to close the meager distance between their lips. His eyelids fluttered shut as he pressed his lips firmly against Lu Yizhou as if branding his own mark there. It lasted less than two seconds but when Terra pulled away, he was gasping heavily and sweat dampened his fringe. He didn’t need to look into the mirror to know that his face was flushed. His lips were tingling and he brought one trembling hand to touch it.

My first kiss, he marveled in daze. It... It was amazing.

A throaty chuckle sounded above him. Terra looked up with glossy eyes and his breath abruptly hitched by the sight of Kai laughing. Not the usual quiet and restrained smile, nor the gentle or fond smile either; it was a full blown laugh. The kind that stretched across his face and lit up his features; the kind that made him look so soft, tender and affectionate. The man’s arms tightened around him and Terra had only a split second to blink when his whole body left the bed. He was lifted as easily as if he weighed nothing and spun midair only to land squarely on the sentinel’s lap, his thighs bracketing the man’s side. In this position, they were much, much closer than before. Chests flushed together, breaths interlacing. Terra’s eyes flew wide in shock and he scrambled to hold onto the man’s shoulders for purchase.

W—What was happening?!

"Sweetheart." His eyes were dark with a smile still clinging on those sweet lips. "Are you satisfied with that kiss?"

Terra flushed, feeling warm from head to toe. He held himself still, too afraid to move, too afraid to breathe. What... What kind of question was that? Satisfied? Terra peeked at him through his eyelashes and offered the barest of nod. Of course, he was satisfied. Everything was wondrous and Terra couldn’t ask anything more.

(Oh, how wrong he was. Terra would soon learn that he was, to his mortification, insatiable.)

"Really?" Lu Yizhou cupped his cheek and rubbed his thumb on Terra’s skin. It was soothing and electrifying at the same time. Terra had no idea why his back arched toward the touch and why his lips parted into a breathy sigh. Yet once he did, the sentinel’s eyes darkened impossibly further; it was as if his pupils were turning black. It was then that Terra realized something was off with his right eye. But before he could look closer, Lu Yizhou continued with a shake of his head. "But unfortunately, I am not."

Terra let out a quiet gasp when the hold on his waist tightened. Lu Yizhou brought their foreheads together and stared into his eyes. "My love, this is what you call a kiss."

What...? Before Terra could even blink, his head was yanked down at the same time when Lu Yizhou surged up to crush their lips together and abruptly, all thoughts ceased to exist in Terra’s mind. All was left was the insistent press of Lu Yizhou’s lips, the teasing nip and suckle, and the swipe of something hot and wet against the seam of his lips. Tears gathered in Terra’s eyes as he slowly opened up to the man’s cajoling lick, like a shy flower that blossomed under the moonlight, sprinkled with love and affection enough to make it flourish.

Lu Yizhou’s tongue was hotter than his searing hands on Terra and he tasted like... everything Terra could have imagined and beyond. It was earth shattering, Terra felt as if he was weightless and floating midair. He had no idea that someone could kiss with their tongues and teeth and basically everything and oh, now that Terra knew it, he wouldn’t be able to go back to five minutes ago when he was still blissfully oblivious of everything; when he thought that merely pressing their lips together was the best thing that had ever happened to him.

The sentinel was wrong. He was not kissing Terra, he was devouring him.

Terra keened, sweat gathering between his brows and the bridge of his nose. He was burning, Terra was sure of it. Every inch of his body was alight in a way that made him feel like flame was coursing through his veins; it was truly a wonder how he hadn’t caught on fire. Sparks exploded behind his eyelids and all his nerves were focused on the wet slide of their tongues and how obscene the sound was.

When Lu Yizhou finally pulled away after an indefinite amount of time, Terra was sure that he would have collapsed the floor if not for the man’s arms holding him up, preventing him from turning into a puddle of rainbow. His chest felt too small, his eyelids too heavy, his mind too light. Everything was too much... yet not enough at all. As he was still reeling in the sensation, Lu Yizhou proceeded to pepper kisses on every point of his face as if he would die if his lips left Terra even for a second.

"How is it?" He whispered against the corner of his lips, voice thick and gruff.

How... Terra trembled as he breathed through his mouth. It was... mind blowing, world shattering, spectacular, wonderful. Terra shifted through the words in his mind yet nothing ever felt adequate to describe what he had just felt. It was just... so perfect. Like regaining something he had lost. Like embracing a part of himself he had no idea existed.

Like he had just found a place where he could truly belong.

"I am planning to hug and kiss you a lot." Lu Yizhou warned. "So you’d better prepare yourself, sweetheart."

Terra’s breath hitched and his eyes finally snapped open. Oh no, it was too much. He wasn’t ready yet to be bombarded by the sentinel’s piercing beauty, the faintest color on his cheeks, his kiss-swollen and glistening lips. Too much. Terra let out a high pitched sound like a dying whale and dropped his head on Lu Yizhou’s shoulder, earning him a low chuckle. He was serious, wasn’t he? From now on, this was going to be Terra’s life. He would wake up to the sight of Kai, face still rumpled with sleep and hair messy albeit still flawless on him. The man would catch him off guard by hugging him from behind and then Terra would be kissed within an inch of his life.

Oh, the realization slotted into his heart. I want this.

The hugs and kisses he promised, the gentle touches, the endearing and fond look. The intimacy. The future.

Terra wanted him. He wished to hoard Kai’s everything to himself.

And you already do, a voice inside him spoke, he’s yours. All yours.
