Urban's Fury: The War Dragon God -
Chapter 97: Posture
Chapter 97: Chapter 97: Posture
Li Feng parted Wang Jin’er’s lips, "Why do you still bite people?"
Wang Jin’er glared at Li Feng with almond-shaped eyes, gritting her teeth, "Who let you kiss me?"
"You did, didn’t you say to thank me with your mouth?"
Wang Jin’er looked at Li Feng playing the scoundrel and took a deep breath, "Shameless scoundrel."
"Yes, I’m shameless, but you still have to marry me."
Li Feng stepped forward, and Wang Jin’er instinctively grew alert. Li Feng observed her tense body, "Do you want to keep hanging like this? I don’t mind, after all, it’s quite exciting to watch."
Li Feng smirked and took out his phone to snap a couple of photos of Wang Jin’er, clicking his tongue all the while.
Wang Jin’er’s face flushed red, feeling like ten thousand alpacas were stampeding through her heart, "You shameless bastard, let me down."
Li Feng, seeing Wang Jin’er’s face almost dripping with moisture, stepped forward, wrapped his arms around Wang Jin’er’s waist, and lifted her down from the gourds hanging overhead. As soon as Wang Jin’er’s feet hit the ground, she pushed Li Feng away, seeing that the restraints on her wrists had been removed and tossed aside.
The next second, Wang Jin’er pounced on Li Feng like a hungry tiger.
"Give me the phone."
"No way, I still want to keep these photos as a souvenir." Li Feng dodged left and right, making it impossible for Wang Jin’er to grab the phone. Wang Jin’er, infuriated, directly kicked at Li Feng’s shin.
"Ouch!"
Wang Jin’er gasped, crouching and covering her own shin, tears dropping down.
"Are you crying?"
"None of your business." Wang Jin’er said petulantly. Li Feng, seeing the tears fall to the ground, wondered if he had gone too far and crouched down, "Shall I check your leg? You kicked so hard; don’t blame me if it’s broken."
Wang Jin’er saw Li Feng reaching out and fiercely pushed herself onto him and Li Feng fell backward "unprepared". Seizing the opportunity, Wang Jin’er straddled him and snatched the phone from his hand.
Li Feng lay on the ground, Wang Jin’er wiped her tears, only to find the phone was locked and looked despairingly at Li Feng, who chuckled.
"What are you laughing at?"
Li Feng squinted at Wang Jin’er, "Nothing, just thinking that you’re pretty and have a nice figure. Seems like I’m making a profit marrying you."
Wang Jin’er then realized she was straddling Li Feng and hurriedly got up.
"Shameless rogue."
Li Feng watched as Wang Jin’er, glowing, mockingly stood up; "Miss Beautiful Wang, how am I to blame? It was you who pounced on me like a hungry tiger. How does that make me the rogue?"
Wang Jin’er, her face flushing red, retorted coquettishly, "It’s you, it’s all you, you did it on purpose."
Li Feng looked at the exasperated Wang Jin’er and shrugged, "Then give me the phone, I’ll delete them."
Wang Jin’er looked at the hand Li Feng extended and spat, "Wishful thinking, don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to. Once the phone is in your hands, will I ever get it back?" Wang Jin’er tightly guarded Li Feng’s phone.
Having just snapped embarrassing photos of her, how could she allow others to see them? Wang Jin’er, feeling mortified, naturally couldn’t hand over her leverage to Li Feng, especially after she had just managed to snatch the phone.
Li Feng didn’t try to snatch it by force; instead, he took off his jacket and threw it to Wang Jin’er, "Then consider this a token of affection. Let’s go, I’ll take you home."
"What about here?"
"People will come to deal with it."
Li Feng drove Wang Jin’er away from the abandoned vehicle site. Sitting in the car, Wang Jin’er finally caught her breath, feeling vaguely frightened.
Wang Jin’er didn’t know what to say to Li Feng. After all, they had met a few times but weren’t really familiar with each other. Considering what had just happened, she hesitated to initiate a conversation and instead glanced out the window.
"This isn’t the way back to Huacheng, is it?"
Wang Jin’er turned her head to look at Li Feng.
"Don’t you want to go home, do you want to come to my place?" Li Feng turned and spoke, prompting Wang Jin’er to spit disdainfully and mutter, "Shameless, who would go to your place."
Half an hour later, Li Feng stopped the car, waking up Wang Jin’er, who had been sleeping in the passenger seat, "Huh, where are we?"
"We’re home."
Li Feng turned to look at a still groggy Wang Jin’er, who turned her head to look out the window. They weren’t below her apartment building.
"How do you know where I live?"
"Your friend told me." As Li Feng spoke, someone knocked on the window of the passenger side. Wang Jin’er turned her head, saw Shen Yanran, and immediately got out of the car.
Li Feng didn’t get out to greet her but instead reversed the car and drove away.
"Jin’er, how come he brought you back? What happened to your clothes? Did he hurt you? Were you...!"
Shen Yanran sized up Wang Jin’er’s disheveled appearance— no, it was more than just disheveled, it was as if someone had savagely ripped them.
Listening to Shen Yanran’s increasingly outrageous conjectures, Wang Jin’er quickly interrupted her.
"He didn’t do anything to me."
"After all this, and nothing happened? What more do you want? No way, that bastard, you guys haven’t even started and you treat me, Shen Yanran, like I don’t exist!"
Shen Yanran clenched her fists, ready to confront Li Feng.
Wang Jin’er quickly grabbed Shen Yanran, "He really didn’t do anything, I was kidnapped, and he rescued me. He didn’t rip my clothes."
Shen Yanran froze on the spot, turned to look at Wang Jin’er, "Really?"
"How could I lie to you about this? Let’s go upstairs."
After leaving Wang Jin’er, Li Feng didn’t head back to Huacheng but drove to an underground parking garage instead, parked the car, and walked over to a corner, pushing open a door into an L-shaped corridor.
At the corner, two bulky Han Dynasty-like men heard the noise and stood up, blocking Li Feng.
"Show your identification!"
Li Feng raised his hand, revealing an ancient ring on his finger. Seeing the ring, the two wall-like guards instantly stepped aside, moved forward, and used a card to open the elevator behind them.
Li Feng stepped into the elevator, "Ding-dong."
The elevator only had options for negative first and negative third floors. Li Feng pressed for negative three, and within a breath, the elevator stopped smoothly, and the doors slowly opened.
A subterranean bar came into Li Feng’s view.
Li Feng walked straight to the bar and ordered a cocktail, then spoke to the scantily clad bartender, "Is there an auction happening these days?"
"Yes, it’s the end of the year, and there is a big auction tonight."
While mixing the drink, the bartender answered, Li Feng took a Gold Coin out of his pocket and placed it on the bar. The bartender finished mixing the cocktail, brought it to Li Feng, and took the Gold Coin.
"Someone will contact you shortly."
Li Feng picked up his cocktail, turned to look behind him; this bar wasn’t a typical one but an underground market—Scarborough Market.
