Chapter 68: Chapter 68: Being a Master Counts for Nothing

Qi Shaobin was rather confident in his personal bodyguards, for each of them had an impressive background, like the gaunt young man rushing towards Li Feng, a practitioner from the Xuanwu Martial Arts School in Huacheng. Despite his lean appearance, his Eagle Claw Skill was exceptionally formidable.

Shaobin had witnessed this young man crush a wine bottle with one hand without any external force, an act far beyond the ordinary. Once caught by those hands, the least one would suffer was dislocated muscles and broken bones.

The young man advanced swiftly towards Li Feng, his fingers clawing the air, the knuckles cracking crisply. He reached for Li Feng’s arm, and with a fluid movement of his claw, there was a sharp crack—Li Feng’s shoulder emitted a jarring sound.

"Hey," the young man looked at Li Feng with a cold sneer, an expression full of certainty of his victory as if Li Feng was nothing more than fish meat on his cutting board.

The other two bodyguards standing behind Qi Shaobin did not take action.

"Xiao Hai’s Eagle Claw Skill has really advanced, he seems to be outstripping his teacher."

"This claw of his is seventy to eighty percent perfected. I thought the other guy would be tough to deal with, but it’s just this—unbelievable how these losers handle things."

"Just a bunch of rabble relying on their bulky frames to bully the weak and fear the strong. Even if some are vicious, they’re just bold enough to act, not particularly skilled."

"Heh."

The man beside him snorted disdainfully, clearly unimpressed by the so-called top-level fighters of the club, considering them nothing more than trash.

While the two conversed, an unexpected change occurred.

The promising young man they were watching unexpectedly stepped back several paces on tiptoe, prompting both men to shift their gaze towards the scene.

Xiao Hai looked down at his chest, never expecting Li Feng to be a "cornered beast still capable of fighting." Despite having one arm disabled by him, Li Feng recklessly rammed into him. Xiao Hai steadied the Qi and blood within his body and looked at Li Feng, who was bent over and gasping, with a cold gaze.

"You actually dirtied my clothes. Do you know how much I spent on this outfit?" Xiao Hai looked down condescendingly at the "struggling" Li Feng.

There was a snap.

Li Feng trembled as he pushed off the ground with his arms, his dislocated shoulder snapping back into place.

"Oh, this kid is pretty fierce."

"Hmm, Xiao Hai, don’t underestimate him, be careful or you’ll capsize in the gutter."

Xiao Hai looked at Li Feng with full confidence, taking a set of Finger Knives from his pocket. These Finger Knives could fit on the fingers like pen caps and were as sharp as an eagle’s claws.

"You’re quite tenacious, so let me take this a bit more seriously. Be careful," Xiao Hai warned Li Feng. As his words still hung in the air, he took a quick step forward and reached for Li Feng’s head.

His Eagle Claw was powerful enough to crush wine bottles and walnuts, among many things, but he had never tried it on a human head.

Li Feng looked up and grabbed the opponent’s wrist in retaliation. Xiao Hai sneered, thinking he wanted to grapple with him when grappling was something he had become bored with; his Eagle Claw Skill was many times more advanced.

Come on, then.

Xiao Hai’s eyes narrowed, his wrist twisting snake-like, and his fingers, sharp as snake fangs, clamped back onto Li Feng’s wrist. The moment they made contact, Xiao Hai’s Finger Knives could penetrate three inches into flesh and bone.

Cutting tendons and breaking bones would be a breeze.

In a split second of utmost urgency.

Li Feng’s fingers vibrated like ripples in water, a gleam of cold light flashed like a venomous snake in the dark, striking out. In an instant, the hidden weapon flashed and disappeared.

Before Xiao Hai could even register, blood sprayed from his wrist. Devoid of sensation and unable to move, he looked down in shock to find his wrist tendons severed.

How could this be possible?

Xiao Hai couldn’t detect it at all. As he looked up at Li Feng’s eyes, still filled with disbelief, Li Feng sneered and stood up, smashing a fist into Xiao Hai’s jaw. Xiao Hai was sent flying off the ground in a backward arc.

"Hmm?"

The two bodyguards who had been idly chatting furrowed their brows, somewhat confused.

"Hidden Weapon?"

"Get on him together, watch out for his dirty tricks."

Li Feng sprinted forward and with a stomp onto Xiao Hai’s back, "Pfft," Xiao Hai spat out a mouthful of blood instantly as Li Feng leaped up and threw something with a swing of his hand.

The two bodyguards from the martial arts school instinctively dodged. Li Feng had merely feigned a grab at a spear before kicking one of them squarely in the chest. As the bodyguard raised his arm to block, Li Feng used the momentum to strike at the other.

"Hmph."

With a cold snort, the bodyguard executed an Iron Bridge Horse stance and countered with a punch.

Their fists met mid-air, and the next second came a crisp snapping sound.

"Ah!"

"This is impossible." The bodyguard looked on in disbelief. He couldn’t fathom losing a clash of fists, and even worse, having his bones shattered by the impact. Li Feng, however, paid no attention to his shock and pressed on, thrusting his body forward in a close-range shove that sent the man flying off the ground.

Li Feng’s feet powered up as he rapidly punched with both fists, delivering seven or eight blows to the man’s chest in an instant, caving it in.

"Pfft."

A mouthful of old blood sprayed from the man’s mouth and nose.

"Second senior brother, go to hell."

The bodyguard, who had staggered back two steps from Li Feng’s kick, bulged his eyes seeing his senior struggling to breathe in more than he could exhale. With a rush, he lunged forward and aimed a punch at the back of Li Feng’s head.

Li Feng seemed to have eyes in the back of his head as he sidestepped with a Z-move, avoiding the fist with a Cobra’s reverse maneuver, facing his opponent.

Li Feng’s punch, powerful as a dragon emerging from the sea, smashed directly into the man’s ribs—a critical point like the snake’s vital "seven inches," sapping away much of his Qi. Li Feng then grabbed the man’s head and darted towards the side of the hallway.

"Bang."

The man’s head made an extremely close acquaintance with the wall, and he slumped to the ground, his head buzzing.

"Is this all the fight you’ve got? A few flashy moves, but no better than a fart," Li Feng jeered as he rotated his shoulders, turning to look at the now solo Qi Shaobin. Qi Shaobin gulped nervously.

"Someone help!"

"Whoever stops him, I’ll give them ten million."

Qi Shaobin hadn’t expected the skilled fighters from Xuanwu Martial Arts School to be utterly wrecked by Li Feng, rendering him astounded. After all, these were renowned experts who had achieved rankings in Yan Country’s martial arts tournaments.

No one dared to respond; they were all too scared.

Beads of sweat ran down Qi Shaobin’s forehead, and he turned to run, realizing that Li Feng was not just tough, but monstrously so.

Was he even human?

Watching Qi Shaobin flee, Li Feng grabbed a decorative vase from the corridor and hurled it, hitting Qi Shaobin square in the back. Qi Shaobin stumbled, face-planting to the floor.

Qi Shaobin spat out a mouthful of saliva, nearly chipping a tooth, and turned over to see Li Feng standing over him.

"Li Feng, if you dare to touch me, I’ll I’ll have someone take care of Zhang Xue."

Li Feng looked down at Qi Shaobin and burst into laughter. Qi Shaobin, watching Li Feng’s madness, warned, "Don’t push me."

Li Feng closed his mouth, his gaze coldly sweeping over Qi Shaobin: "Idiot."

"You think you set a trap for me to fall into. I took the bait because I still had lingering feelings, and now you’re using Zhang Xue to threaten me?"

"She isn’t my wife anymore, you know."

Qi Shaobin bit his lip as he watched Li Feng: "Li Feng, stop lying. You dare say you don’t care about Zhang Xue anymore. If you truly didn’t care, you wouldn’t have taken the bait. Let me go, and you can take Zhang Xue with you."
