Chapter 67: Chapter 67 It’s Simply Inhuman

Gulp.

Before the other party had finished speaking, a hidden weapon had shot straight into their mouth. The burly man holding Zhang Xue choked immediately, his eyes rolling back as Li Feng leapt onto the large bed in one swift move and kicked the man in the face, sending him tumbling through the air.

Li Feng’s ears twitched, hearing footsteps from outside the bedroom. Reinforcements were on their way. He turned abruptly, walked out of the bedroom, and as he left, he closed the door behind him and entered the living room, which was already jam-packed.

"Kill!"

Li Feng plunged into the crowd like a wolf among sheep and began a gruesome slaughter.

"Gulp, Boss Ba, this guy is too fierce."

Li Ba narrowed his eyes at the blood-drenched figure of Li Feng. When his gaze met Li Feng’s bloodshot eyes, shrouded in a mist of blood, he involuntarily furrowed his brows.

"Boss Ba."

A henchman, warily watching Li Feng, turned his head to the muscular man beside him whose Iron Sand Palm was unrivaled, capable of splitting bricks and breaking walls effortlessly.

"This kid is demon-possessed."

"Boss Ba, what does demon possession mean?"

"It’s not the cultivation deviation mentioned in martial arts novels, right? It does seem similar though."

Li Ba took a deep breath, warily observing Li Feng. "Although it’s not the same thing, it’s similar. Demon possession is an extreme state where emotions run wild, blood and qi are in chaos, reasoning is lost, and the person becomes consumed by a killing frenzy, driven by their primal instincts."

"Just look at his eyes; that’s clearly the state of demon possession. Right now, he feels nothing while killing, and his body is even more excited."

Hearing this, everyone else inhaled sharply, understanding the cause of the gruesome scene outside. "Boss Ba, what do we do now?"

Li Ba coldly fixed his gaze on Li Feng. "Kill him. A person who’s demon-possessed is like a madman, very hard to awaken."

Even if it were possible to awaken him, Li Ba would not attempt it. After all, the enemy had launched a massacre at Sihai Mountain Villa. Allowing him to leave alive would show weakness on their part. Moreover, Qi Shaobin had set a sky-high bounty, increasing the reward from five million to ten million.

Li Ba muttered something to the two men beside him. Upon hearing the order, they quickly turned and left, only to return shortly afterward.

"Move aside, everyone move!"

The two men came back, holding a bedsheet, and threw it over Li Feng. Li Ba smirked. Indeed, a person in the throes of demon possession killed without blinking, and because of the extreme excitement in their bodies, their combat strength skyrocketed. However, they still had weaknesses; those under its influence were completely controlled by emotion, with no rational thought, like wild beasts.

Charging in recklessly would leave you battered and bloody, but with a little cunning, they weren’t difficult to deal with.

Ten million.

Indeed, that was a tempting sum.

Li Ba stepped forward quickly as Li Feng struggled underneath the bedsheet. Raising his Iron Sand Palm, he brought it down hard on the covered figure.

With a single strike from Li Ba, the sound of bones breaking could be heard; a burst of blood sprayed on the bedsheet, and Li Ba gave a cold huff.

He was a martial artist who had reached the level of Dark Strength before turning thirty, known in the world as Iron Palm Li. A single palm strike from him, if not fatal, would certainly cause serious injury.

"Is he dead?"

"Mm-hmm, with Boss Ba’s move, the opponent is undoubtedly dead."

Whoosh!

Just then, a knife suddenly pierced through the bedsheet, plunging into Li Ba’s chest. The blade went in white and came out red.

Li Feng tore away the bedsheet with his hands and looked straight at Li Ba.

"This can’t be possible?"

Li Ba stared with disbelief at Li Feng, "You clearly took a palm strike, how can you be completely unharmed?"

Li Feng looked disdainfully at Li Ba.

"How can you be so sure that the one who took the blow was me? Oh, that’s right, according to you, I’ve succumbed to demon possession, my brain is all mush, bullsh*t all over, completely incapable of thought, killing purely on instinct."

Li Ba stared at Li Feng, "You, you haven’t succumbed to demon possession? Impossible, you...!"

Li Ba felt his own mind turning to mush. The other’s eyes clearly showed the signs of demon possession, yet his speech was coherent, a clear sign of rational thought.

Li Feng’s lips curled up into a frigid smirk.

"Who said succumbing to demon possession necessarily means losing one’s reason?"

Li Feng looked at Li Ba mockingly and directly pulled out the cachas from the latter’s chest; blood gushed out instantly, and with a thud, Li Ba collapsed onto the ground.

Li Feng didn’t like the term ’demon possession’; he preferred to call this state the War God State. In this state, Li Feng’s brain would be entirely void, unaffected by the external world, his bloodshot eyes thirsting only for blood.

Li Ba got one thing right; Li Feng was indeed exhilarated and felt no remorse for taking lives, no matter how many fell by his hand, there wouldn’t be the slightest ripple in his heart.

However, he hadn’t lost his sanity. His mind was still working; he’d just self-blocked some of his reason and emotions.

Li Feng lifted his gaze towards the opposite side.

Gurgle.

The other thugs were also feeling a chill; this man was simply not human. Li Ba had been among the strongest of them, a single strike from his Iron Sand Palm meant serious injury, yet even he had capsized in a drainage ditch.

Fear quickly overwhelmed their greed for money.

Ten million was tempting, but one had to be alive to spend it.

"We’ve run into a ghost."

"I’m out, whoever wants to go, go ahead."

People started to beat a retreat, moving back, and others were influenced as well. After all, more than a dozen of their own lay on the ground motionless; the opponent was simply monstrous.

Qi Shaobin stepped out of the elevator with a dark expression, just to hear some noises in the corridor. Turning his head, his face turned even colder and more terrifying as he saw his men fleeing in panic, scrambling over each other.

"We’ve run into a ghost."

"Qi, Qi Shaobin."

"Shaobin, we should really leave, we can’t deal with that man, no one is his match."

Qi Shaobin slapped one of them across the face.

"Go back and kill him for me! What is he, some goddamn nobodies? You’re telling me all of you can’t beat him?"

Qi Shaobin was furiously enraged, unsatisfied with just a slap, he gave a kick as well.

"Shaobin, if you’re so tough, you try it."

"Damn it, how did I end up with you useless morons." Qi Shaobin spoke coldly, and before his words had even faded, a man flew straight out of the door, crashing into the wall across the hallway. Qi Shaobin lifted his eyes just to see Li Feng, bloodied, stepping on a thug as he walked out.

Li Feng turned his head, and Qi Shaobin shuddered—the look in the other’s eyes was frightening.

Qi Shaobin quickly regained his composure and looked at the approaching Li Feng, "Mr. Li, you really are as hard to kill as a cockroach, still standing after all that. I must admit, I underestimated you."

"To go to such lengths for her, I’m truly impressed." As Qi Shaobin spoke, he started clapping, then his eyes turned cold.

"However, since you’ve come here today, don’t even think about leaving alive."

With a wave of his hand, a skinny young man stepped forward behind Qi Shaobin, "Break his limbs for me, don’t kill him; I want him to stay alive."
