Chapter 590: Chapter 590: Overwhelming Destruction

"Move in!"

The man leading the group opposite scoffed at the audacity of just ten men daring to confront them head-on. Did they really think his crew was just a bunch of pushovers?

At his command, the club’s henchmen charged like a pack of tigers descending a mountain, their huge fists raining down brutally on their adversaries.

The Dragon Guards sneered dismissively—a bunch of show-offs.

"Fight."

A single person uttered a low shout, and the ten men erupted into action. The deadly aura honed on the battlefield radiated from them, instantly suffocating the rushing gangsters from the club in front of them.

The next second.

The Dragon Guards closed in, and like reaping wheat, they swiftly floored a swath of the club’s henchmen, showing their complete dominance in strength, agility, and combat strategy.

Du Chong frowned, while his trusted lieutenant, witnessing the scene, said, "Boss, these security guards are no slouches. Let me test their mettle!"

The speaker was one of Du Chong’s three deputies, Pan Ming. Du Chong nodded affirmatively, "Go, but be careful."

With a grunt of acknowledgment, Pan Ming stepped out from the crowd, drawing a collapsible police baton from his pocket, and quickly advanced toward one of the security guards, swinging the baton with force.

The baton was aimed for a sneak attack from behind.

The guard, hearing the whistling sound behind him, couldn’t dodge in time; instead, he executed a forward roll like a somersaulting donkey. Simultaneously, a Dragon Tooth Warrior on the side flung a bulky man right at Pan Ming.

Pan Ming dodged with a swift sidestep.

"Heh, playing dirty."

"I’ve got this."

The Dragon Tooth Warrior who had rolled felt disgraced. He glared at Pan Ming, who had attacked from behind, and with a mocking smile, he sprang forward like a cheetah on the hunt.

Pan Ming swung his baton, but the Dragon Tooth Warrior met it head-on with his forearm, shrugging off the blow, advancing and grasping Pan Ming by his collar.

"Is this all you’ve got?"

The Dragon Tooth Warrior asked contemptuously, and then his fist smashed into Pan Ming’s nose, overwhelming Pan Ming with a fierce aura.

Pan Ming was a former Reconnaissance Soldier and had seen veterans who’d been in combat—soldiers who possessed an intimidating presence not found in ordinary troops. Invisible yet palpable, especially in a confrontation, this aura could preemptively tighten your muscles and instigate a psychological fear.

In veterans’ terms, it was deterrence.

Like a tiger descending from the mountains, commanding the awe of all beasts.

Fuck, what the hell is up with these guards?

Pan Ming pondered as a Dragon Guard slammed a kick into his chest. "Pfft," he felt a rib crack and a surge of blood erupted from his mouth.

They’re fucking monstrous.

"Pan Ming, you good for nothing? Have you been flexing all your muscles on women, that you can’t even handle one guard?" jeered another deputy leader. Pan Ming was Du Chong’s confidante, and this deputy, a newcomer, had often been the butt of Pan Ming’s jokes.

"Got the guts? You try!" Pan Ming furiously retorted to the taunting newcomer, clutching his chest.

"What happened?" Du Chong looked to Pan Ming. While not the strongest, Pan Ming certainly wasn’t weak, yet he had been thrown back after just one exchange. This was a bad look for morale.

"Leader, there’s something off about these guards. They exude a thick aura of killers who’ve shed blood. Their movements are crisp and highly efficient—typical of the Guard’s Martial Arts. These men could very well be warriors!"

"Warriors?"

"You’re joking, right? If they had the means to recruit warriors as security, it’s just an excuse for your incompetence."

"Enough."

Du Chong cut off the argument, "Sun Ji, deploy the Law Enforcement Team."

"Yes, Leader."

"Zhang Heng, focus on the task at hand. If you can’t bring back the goods, no one’s got your back, no matter who you know."

Du Chong eyed Zhang Heng—the sneering, beefy man who had been kicking Pan Ming when he was down.

"Watch and learn what a real power disparity is."

"Thirty seconds left; if you continue to dawdle, you won’t be able to clear everyone out within a minute!"

"Also, did I restrict you? All of you hesitating, do you still consider yourselves the Young Master’s sharp blades?"

An Xi was frankly dissatisfied with these guards in front of her. What was going on, was this the Gu Family or what?

An Xi’s words hit a nerve with the Dragon Guards.

Just as An Xi had mentioned, they felt somewhat reserved, understandably, since they were in Yan Country. Deep down, they were instinctively restrained, unlike abroad, where they could raise hell and leave without a care.

"Swiftly resolve this!"

This thought flitted through the Dragon Guards’ minds for just an instant before they made their resolution.

In the next moment.

The already dominant Dragon Guards became even more ferocious, showing no mercy in their strikes, imposing a terrifying sense of despair on the club henchmen.

They had already been unable to resist, and now their opponents were unleashing even greater combat prowess.

Fuck, were these guys even human?

"Draw knives."

With his people crumbling, Du Chong’s Law Enforcement Team drew a deep breath and unsheathed their daggers.

"Heh, playing with knives."

A Dragon Guard smirked upon seeing the opponent draw weapons, not intimidated but amused instead.

"Leader, it’s no use. You should leave, or we’ll all bite the dust."

Pan Ming sucked in a cold breath. They had sent seven squads, practically their entire force, mainly to move stuff, never taking the opposing guards seriously.

Now, they had hit a brick wall.

"Think you can leave without my permission?"

An Xi advanced, stepping over people, her gaze cold as she confronted Du Chong. Daring to steal the Young Master’s possessions and think you can walk away unabashed?

Not on her watch.
