Chapter 45: Chapter 45: Qi Shaobin Gets Arrested

Li Feng listened to Zhang Xue’s curses as he received a text message on his phone and immediately hung up, tossing the phone to Zhang Xin. Zhang Xin glared at her despicable and shameless ex-brother-in-law with clenched teeth, "Are you satisfied now?"

Li Feng glanced at Zhang Xin, "You can leave now!"

"What about the USB drive?"

"In the trash can in the living room."

Li Feng wasn’t curious about the USB drive at all. Taking it was merely a form of revenge against his former sister-in-law. As for the content...

Zhang Xin quickly got up from the bed and rushed out of the bedroom, pouring out the contents of the trash can and rummaging through it to find the USB drive. Once she got a hold of it, she finally felt a bit relieved.

"You didn’t make a copy, did you?"

Li Feng turned and looked back at Zhang Xin, who had returned and was standing at the door staring at him, "I’m not interested in your sleeping positions with other men."

Hearing Li Feng’s humiliating words, Zhang Xin glared furiously at him, recalling the humiliation she had endured at his hands that night.

"Li Feng, we’ll see about that."

Now that Zhang Xin no longer had anything incriminating in Li Feng’s hands, she naturally wouldn’t stoop low before him and swiftly turned to leave.

"She just left like that? What was on that USB drive?"

Zhou Zhishan asked curiously. Li Feng turned his head to Zhou Zhishan, "You don’t know?"

"What should I know?"

Zhou Zhishan was taken aback.

"When you took out a high-interest loan, didn’t someone ask you to take photos?"

Zhou Zhishan instantly understood and her face turned crimson, "I borrowed money using just my ID card; I didn’t take the kind of photos you’re talking about. I’m not that shameless."

"That’s strange, no one gave me any. I was kind of looking forward to it."

Zhou Zhishan looked up at Li Feng, who was teasing her, "You’re terrible."

Li Feng, watching Zhou Zhishan’s face flush with shyness, couldn’t help but feel an urge akin to a hungry tiger pouncing on its prey.

"Ah!"

"Why are you making another call? Didn’t I tell you to shut off your phone?"

Zhang Xue looked up at Qi Shaobin, who was returning with several large bags, and hurriedly approached him, "I’ve turned it off already, that was just my cousin."

"Hmm? What does your cousin want at this hour?"

Qi Shaobin frowned and looked towards Zhang Xue.

"It’s that damned Li Feng."

"Hmm?"

Qi Shaobin looked at Zhang Xue, who bit her lip and turned to him, "Shaobin, I can’t just ignore this. That bastard Li Feng took my sister to a hotel—He’s trying to humiliate her to get back at me."

"Are you sure he kidnapped your cousin?"

"Absolutely, my cousin has always despised Li Feng. She’s publicly humiliated him by calling him a bootlicker and a loser multiple times. Li Feng must want revenge. If he really does something to my cousin..." Zhang Xue felt agitated just thinking about it.

"I need to call the police."

"Calm down and look at our situation right now. We can’t have any contact with the outside world. Attracting the police would only bring us trouble."

"But I can’t just watch my cousin get taken advantage of by that jerk Li Feng. How could I face anyone in the future?"

"That’s enough, leave this to me. I’ll handle it."

"How are you going to handle it?"

"I’m in a bit of trouble right now, but don’t forget, my Qi Family is the local power in Huacheng. Besides, if Li Feng hadn’t escaped to Jin City, he would have been finished long ago. Go take a shower first; I have it all figured out."

Zhang Xue looked at Qi Shaobin and decided to trust him. She believed that the current trouble was just a minor issue. After all, Sihai Group held a market value of hundreds of billions and was among the top real estate businesses in Huacheng, with connections and networks far beyond what the Zhang Family could compare with.

Qi Shaobin watched Zhang Xue leave and then went straight to his study to turn on his computer. His phone was currently unusable, and even the communication numbers he regularly used were off-limits, but he had other ways to contact the outside world.

Online gaming.

Qi Shaobin logged into an online game, clicked on a contact in his friend list, and left a message directly.

The contact was clearly a night owl, awake at the dead of night, and responded almost instantly.

After exchanging a few words, Qi Shaobin logged out of the game. He had never considered Li Feng significant, even a minor trouble like the current one wouldn’t stop him from easily taking down Li Feng.

Noon.

Li Feng, wrapped in a bath towel, walked out of the bathroom and saw Zhou Zhishan waking up. "You’re awake."

"Mmm."

"I’ve ordered lunch. Now that you’re up, let’s eat something. I’ll drive you back to school later."

"Lunch?"

Zhou Zhishan blinked, and Li Feng walked to the window and drew back the curtains, letting a slash of sunlight pour in.

"Ah!"

Zhou Zhishan looked at the glaring sun outside and threw off the covers. "I’ve got Master Extinction’s class today."

Li Feng squinted at the spring scenery revealed in the sunlight, his heart stirring again. Seeing this, Zhou Zhishan lowered her head with a blush, a shy look on her face. "Stop looking."

"Hurry up and get up, I’ll wait for you in the living room."

Watching Li Feng leave, Zhou Zhishan breathed a sigh of relief. She was genuinely scared that Li Feng might pounce on her again; she couldn’t handle it. She couldn’t understand what Zhang Xin’s cousin had against Li Feng; he was clearly extraordinary.

Zhou Zhishan, her face flushed with shyness, climbed out of bed and rushed into the bathroom.

After lunch, Li Feng drove Zhou Zhishan back to the Huacheng Dance Academy. After watching her enter the school, Li Feng pulled a cigarette from his pocket and looked at the message just received on his phone.

Qi Shaobin had been arrested.

Li Feng glanced at the message and scoffed. The call last night wasn’t a whim; Li Feng had a hacking team. Right after Zhang Xue called Zhang Xue last night, Li Feng had his hackers track them.

Zhang Xue and Qi Shaobin, both in Jin City, would surely stick together. Hearing the news, Qi Shaobin would try to hide, taking Zhang Xue with him. He had intended to try it out, and amazingly, Zhang Xue hadn’t turned off her phone.

Li Feng lit a cigarette and was about to open the car door when suddenly, on the opposite lane, a dump truck slammed into the middle barrier and barreled toward the roadside.

Li Feng’s pupils dilated, his hand slammed on the top of his sports car, and he vaulted acrobatically over it.

The next second, the dump truck roared up.

Bang.

The dump truck, weighing over ten tons, was a genuine road killer. Li Feng’s Ferrari deformed instantly under the impact, the sour sound of tearing metal filling the air.

Then, it was flung against a roadside tree by the massive force of the collision.

The trees outside the academy were at least as thick as a water bucket, and under the impact, they were uprooted and hurled towards the academy.

The dump truck’s door was pushed open, and the driver jumped down, glanced at the chaotic scene with a calm and composed face, and then grabbed his phone.

"Mission accomplished."

The driver hung up the phone, his lips curling into a cold smile as he swiftly turned around.
