Chapter 403: Chapter 403: It’s Actually True

Jiang Linda looked in surprise at Han Xue, who was dressed in professional attire. The woman appeared to be just in her early thirties, and with her voluptuous figure accentuated by her outfit and her seductive demeanor, she didn’t seem like a typical career woman at all, rather she looked more like some boss’s mistress.

Jiang Linda, though seasoned in public relations, had worked with rather low-ranking agencies like Myth Communication, dealing mostly with small companies. Since Han Xue, the wife of the Century Group’s chairman, was reclusive and rarely appeared in public, it was normal that Jiang had no idea who she was.

"Ss."

Just then, as Su Yuqing flipped through the contract and saw the signatures and the company seal at the end, she involuntarily inhaled sharply.

"This can’t be real, right?"

"What’s wrong?"

Jiang Linda’s attention was drawn by Su Yuqing’s reaction, and she approached to see the contract that was handed to her.

"It’s got the Century Group chairman’s signature and the company seal on it."

Jiang hastily turned to the last page of the contract, then couldn’t help but look up at Li Feng. Li Feng rolled his eyes, "You don’t really think I’ve forged the company seal and the contract, do you?"

Upon hearing this, Han Xue imagined some scenarios. Honestly, if she hadn’t seen the contract with her own eyes, and if she were someone unaware of the truth, she might have thought the same, especially considering Li Feng’s Myth Communication had no qualifications to partner with the Century Group.

"Cough."

"Do you doubt the authenticity of this contract? There’s really no need to. My husband, the chairman of Century Group, signed this contract half an hour ago in the presence of a lawyer."

"Moreover, tonight at the Century Hotel, my husband will make a public appearance to announce this news. Not only will senior executives of the group be present, but also many media friends."

Han Xue explained with a smile.

Hearing this from Han Xue, Jiang Linda had to believe it, even if she didn’t want to. If the press conference was being prepared, how could it be fake?

Su Yuqing’s face was not calm either. This unreliable director, had he really achieved it?

Securing a strategic partnership with Century Group.

This was like dropping a bomb.

Keep in mind, before this, Myth Communication was technically a subsidiary of the Wang Family’s divine empire, and although the boss was a relative of the Wang Family, it had only ever landed some rather insignificant contracts.

Century Group, however, was on equal footing with the Wang Family Group, both being among the top ten business conglomerates in Sea City.

"Li Feng, this gentleman behind me is the manager of the hotel. From now on, he will follow your orders. You can mobilize all the staff of the Century Hotel. Though the reception at 7 p.m. may not be perfect, it must be presentable."

"Tonight is very important."

"Don’t worry, leave it to me."

"Mhm, I’ll leave this to you then. I need to accompany my old man. If there’s anything you can’t handle, come find me at any time."

"Oh, and about the guests from the group, don’t trouble yourself. However, for the media side, that’s still on you."

After finishing, Han Xue introduced the hotel manager to Li Feng.

"Mr. Li, my name is Zhao Hai, and from this moment on, I’m at your command," Zhao Hai said, presenting himself with the proper respect.

Given the chairman’s sudden arrival and thinking about the recent turmoil within Century Group, significant news might be announced tonight; this was no time for mistakes.

"Mhm, then I’ll trouble you, Manager Zhao."

Li Feng nodded and then escorted Han Xue to the elevator.

"My God, did he really sign a strategic partner contract with Century Group?"

Jiang Linda was still somewhat incredulous.

Su Yuqing was taking deep breaths, trying to calm herself down, "Maybe he’s not that bad after all."

Anyone could tell that if this were true, Myth Communication was going to launch a huge satellite, shocking the PR industry, and likewise making a dazzling display across Sea City.

A public relations company, where hardly more than a few cats remained, had secured a strategic partner contract with Century Group – it was a scenario one wouldn’t even dare to dream of.

Those colleagues who had left would likely be weeping in the restroom by now. From now on, Myth Communication could just lie back and rake in the money.

"Pinch me."

Chu Shiyu was still bewildered, "What, is this contract that impressive?"

"Shiyu, you’re aware of our company’s situation, right?"

Chu Shiyu nodded, as she most certainly understood. Li Feng had taken her to the company, which had been splattered with manure, vandalized, and so few staff remained that they had eventually been sent on paid leave without needing to clock in.

It seemed no different from going out of business.

"The Century Group is one of the top ten conglomerates in Sea City. I’ve heard they have assets worth hundreds of billions, with over a hundred thousand employees. When compared to them, we might as well be ants before an elephant, completely unnoticeable."

"Such a large conglomerate has its own PR department which would be several times more powerful than our entire company. In other words, they don’t need us at all, and we would have nowhere to even grovel to them, if we wanted to."

"I really don’t know how he managed to get this contract signed."

After seeing Han Xue into the elevator, Li Feng returned to the lobby and lounged on a sofa, smiling playfully at Jiang Linda and the others.

"It seems there was some brash secretary or assistant who dared to doubt my abilities."

Jiang Linda, upon seeing Li Feng’s smug expression, cleared her throat, "My mistake, I shouldn’t have doubted your wise and heroic capabilities, boss."

Jiang didn’t pick a fight with Li Feng, as she was also brimming with excitement. After all, with this big deal, the company wouldn’t have to close, and its prospects were bright.

"Hmm-hmm, and now you think to butter me up? Don’t you think it’s a bit late?"

"This time, I, your magnanimous boss, will spare you. Alright, now to assign your tasks."

"Jiang Linda, you go and notify the media. Contact as many as you can, and don’t worry about whether they can come. Just make sure you’ve reached out."

"Alright."

Li Feng turned to Su Yuqing, "Su Yuqing, you are in charge of everything to do with the reception. Whatever you need, use whatever you want, just coordinate directly with Manager Zhao."

"Mhm."

Su Yuqing nodded.

"Alright, get moving."

"What about me, what about me?"

Chu Shiyu, seeing Li Feng had neglected her, eagerly volunteered, Li Feng looked at her, "You’ll follow me and make sure they do their jobs."

"Ah!"

Both Jiang Linda and Su Yuqing rolled their eyes, showing that he was still as unreliable as ever.

"A reception?"

"Who’s organizing it?"

A department manager in Century Group looked in surprise at the secretary who had come to report.

"The call was from the Century Hotel. It appears the initiator is the chairman’s wife."

"That woman?"

The man frowned slightly, "Alright, I understand."

What was that woman up to, planning a reception at such a time? Clearly, the purpose of the reception wasn’t just the drinks.

Was she also looking to contend for something?
