Chapter 34: Chapter 34 Are You Worthy?
"Bro, what are you talking about!"
Jiang Nan tugged at Jiang Liu’s arm, stepping between the two men. "If you keep talking to him like this, I’m going to get angry!"
Jiang Liu glanced coldly at his sister whose elbow was jutting out: "Come home with me."
Without hesitation, Jiang Liu grabbed Jiang Nan’s wrist. Jiang Nan tried to struggle, and Jiang Liu looked at her, "If you don’t want me to bother him, just obediently come home with me, otherwise, I can’t guarantee what I might do!"
Jiang Nan pouted, looking at her somewhat domineering brother.
"I’ll go with you, but at least let me say one thing," Jiang Nan conceded. Her second brother was famously ruthless; if he really wanted to deal with Li Feng, he would go all out.
Jiang Liu grunted in response, and Jiang Nan turned and pulled Li Feng aside.
"Li Feng, sorry, my brother is just that kind of guy. I’ll explain things to him later. That’s it for today; I’ll come find you later."
"Don’t be mad, okay? I’ll make it up to you next time."
Jiang Nan whispered something into Li Feng’s ear and suddenly turned, leaving a trail of fragrance, "Let’s go, you nuisance."
Jiang Nan glared at Jiang Liu, then strode majestically to the car, and Li Feng stepped aside as the Jiang siblings drove off.
Just as the car disappeared from view, Li Feng heard the sound of metal scraping against the ground. With a cold look, he saw a group of fierce-looking men step out diagonally and block his way.
Li Feng turned to look behind him, only to see that his exit was also blocked.
"Forget about leaving today. The only way out is to be carried away by an ambulance."
A man with a scar on his face sinisterly looked at Li Feng.
"Heh!"
Li Feng chuckled: "Just counting heads, and there aren’t even ten of you. You guys really underestimate me."
"Ha, kid, you’re pretty cocky. Just one of me is enough to deal with you; they’re just here to make sure you don’t run away."
Li Feng responded with an "Oh," and then waved his finger at the man across from him.
"Who are these guys?" someone sitting in a nearby car, with a clear view of the scene, asked through the window.
"They’re a bunch of mad dogs raised by Zidong, specifically for dirty work. That scar-face leading them, known as Wolfdog, has seen blood; he and his men are no sissies."
"It seems Zidong has really taken an interest in the Jiang Family’s young miss, wanting to kick away the stumbling block."
"Just watch, this guy won’t die today but he’ll definitely be skinned."
"Hmph."
Scar-Face scoffed coldly and charged forward like an arrow. The steel pipe he dragged sparked on the ground, and with a swing, it whistled through the air toward Li Feng.
Li Feng unwrapped his jacket around his arm, not even bothering to dodge, and blocked it directly. Just as the pipe hit Li Feng’s arm, Scar-Face swung hard, but Li Feng didn’t even flinch. He threw a punch straight into Scar-Face’s face.
Boom!
Li Feng’s punch broke Scar-Face’s nose, sending blood flying. Staggering back with his head buzzing, Scar-Face shook his head, trying to clear it. Li Feng advanced swiftly, grabbing Scar-Face by the face and slamming him to the ground.
Bang.
Scar-Face’s head hit the ground hard, the impact made his underlings’ teeth ache.
These were men accustomed to brutal fights, with Scar-Face being the fiercest among them. However, they had never anticipated their opponent would be even fiercer.
Li Feng slowly stood up; even if Scar-Face wasn’t turned into a vegetable from this, he’d certainly suffered a severe concussion.
He fought viciously.
Li Feng had a cold smile on his lips; in Huacheng, people called him Crown Prince, but it wasn’t because he was a son of the Li Family—it was a title he had earned with his fists and feet.
"Come at me all at once."
The subordinates of the scarred man stared at the overwhelmingly arrogant Li Feng, cursing under their breath. They were not those who are fierce in appearance but timid at heart, and since they had the advantage of numbers, even if he was a fierce tiger, he couldn’t withstand a pack of wolves.
Li Feng flicked his foot, directly lifting the steel pipe from scar-face, not even blinking as he watched the steel pipe swinging towards him. With a swift movement, he parried it, sending it straight into the throat of the man opposite him.
The burly man who was struck felt a suffocating sensation envelop him. His eyelids flipped, and with a kick to the chest from Li Feng, he flew backward like a kite with a broken string, landing with a thud. He rolled several times before stopping, curling up, his hands clutching his throat, gasping for air as if he had been drowning, his throat burning like flames.
"Gurgle!"
"Are you sure these guys are under Zidong’s crazy dogs?"
One of the scared young masters swallowed, and one of the followers who often hung out with Li Zidong nodded, "I recognize Scar-face. In East City, nobody doesn’t know him, and with Zidong’s backing, he’s considered the top dog in East City."
"He hires people based on one thing only, how tough they can fight. Once at a club, someone offended Zidong. Zidong made a call to Scar-face, who brought his guys over and swept through the place. The bouncers were overwhelmed by Scar-face and his gang, and in less than five minutes, they had all been taken down."
"And this?"
A few of the young masters looked at the crazy dogs scattered all over the ground. Was this man specially trained to beat dogs?
Li Feng dropped the steel pipe he was holding, shook off the jacket wrapped around his arm, slipped it on, and with a piercing gaze, strode off.
Li Feng returned to his hotel, took another shower, and without another word, the next morning, he was abruptly awoken by his phone.
"Feng, everything’s ready. When do we start?"
"Get started now."
"Yes, Feng."
Excitement, barely containable, was evident on the other end of the phone. Li Feng hung up without waiting, and another call came in immediately.
"Hey, master, what made you think of calling me?"
"Where the hell are you right now?"
"I’m in Jin City."
"Get back to Sea City as fast as you can. There’s someone you need to save; I’ll send you the address shortly."
Li Feng didn’t wait for pleasantries. The person on the other end had already hung up. Li Feng sighed, picked up the hotel phone, and asked them to book a flight to Sea City.
"Jin’er, you be careful on your own."
At Jin City airport, Shen Yanran saw off Wang Jin’er, feeling a bit reluctant to part.
"Don’t worry, I’m not a child anymore. What could possibly go wrong on a plane?"
Shen Yanran exhaled deeply, "There’s still stuff I need to take care of at home, so I can’t accompany you. Chen’s mom is such a good person; nothing bad will happen. Don’t be too anxious."
"Okay, you can go back now. I’m heading in."
Wang Jin’er said goodbye to Shen Yanran and pushed her luggage into the airport’s terminal. Shen Yanran turned and left the airport just as dawn was breaking.
"How is Chen’s mom doing?"
"It doesn’t look good. The doctors are at a loss; she might not make it through today."
"Ah!"
Hearing this dreadful news, Wang Jin’er bit her lip, "Isn’t there anything else we can do?"
