Chapter 299: A One-Punch KO
Chapter 299: Chapter 299: A One-Punch KO
Close combat.
A punch.
The Boxing Club suddenly fell silent, except for the "clang" of impact that filled the floor.
Gulp.
Someone swallowed hard, incredulously watching Fang Yu, knocked out with a single punch. Unlike Tang Shaocong, who Li Feng had previously floored, Fang Yu was a top-five master in the Boxing Club.
That’s why Fang Yu had Li Feng wear protective gear earlier—not merely for show-off, but because he truly possessed the strength.
Yet, this outcome was somewhat unexpected.
"Fang Bro, got KO’d by one punch?"
"What’s the background of this guy?"
"I think Fang Bro underestimated him, allowing this kid to find an opening," a boxer commented, and the others nearby nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, Fang Bro’s fists measure over 800 pounds of striking force. He’s even fiercer with his legs, not to mention he obviously wasn’t taking it seriously just now, even giving some leeway, which resulted in the surprise hit."
"Hmm, this kid is quite crafty. He struck before even finishing his words, very bad form."
"Exactly, doesn’t understand any rules at all."
Soon, the people around began verbally attacking Li Feng, making excuses for Fang Yu who was downed, while blaming Li Feng for not following the rules.
"Shut up!"
Fang Yu, knocked to the ground by Li Feng’s punch, felt his face flush with embarrassment upon hearing the discussions, as the rationalizations seemed a bit too much.
Fang Yu rose from the ground, shaking off the buzzing in his head, his face revealing a trace of sternness.
"That doesn’t count. Let’s fight again, this time I will take it seriously."
Li Feng, looking at Fang Yu who provided the unnecessary explanation, replied, "Suit yourself."
Li Feng stepped back a few times, lifting his gaze to Fang Yu, who was getting serious, "Hmm, found your serious mode yet?"
"This kid is getting cocky."
"Yeah, using that kind of mocking tone with Fang Bro, he’s deliberately provoking him."
"Now Fang Bro has no choice but to be serious."
"This kid’s in for it now, Fang Yu will show no mercy later; otherwise, he’ll have nowhere to put his face."
"Indeed."
The bystanders nodded in agreement, understanding that those who could enter Xinxin Boxing Club were not merely fitness enthusiasts; they themselves were the elite of society. After all, without some strength, you couldn’t stand your ground in the Boxing Club, or you’d be weeded out.
Not to mention others—just look at Fang Yu, who was the owner of a billion-dollar corporation himself. In many people’s eyes, he was the favored son of heaven.
Xinxin Boxing Club wasn’t some high-end venue, but in reality, it had a high-level clientele; many people would fight tooth and nail for the privilege of entry.
"Oh, by the way, does anyone know him? He looks unfamiliar."
"Don’t know him."
"Must be from out of town."
"Come."
Fang Yu took a deep breath and gestured to Li Feng to approach. Li Feng squinted at Fang Yu, "Ready?"
Fang Yu eyed Li Feng, his heart full of seething anger, "If I ask you to come, then come over."
Li Feng huffed, "Alright, if you say come, I’ll come."
Li Feng was easy to talk to. With a sudden tip of his toe, he closed the distance again, and Fang Yu’s eyes were tightly focused on Li Feng as he quickly approached—this was the moment.
Fang Yu suddenly moved, smashing a heavy hook punch toward Li Feng.
"Beautiful."
The people who had quieted down around them couldn’t help but exclaim at Fang Yu’s thunderous strike.
Just a moment later,
Li Fengtu stood firm, his body slightly leaning backward, and the heavy uppercut ended up missing Li Fengtu’s nose entirely.
The word "beautiful" was still lingering in the air, yet it felt as if it was slapping the person who had just shouted it, causing them a bit of embarrassment.
Fang Yu hadn’t expected his punch to miss either; he glanced at Li Fengtu from the corner of his eye, his face showing a trace of awkwardness. Fang Yu quickly turned around, his face iron-blue as he looked at the upturned corner of Li Fengtu’s mouth, which seemed to be mocking him.
A fire ignited in Fang Yu’s heart; he stepped forward and threw a punch straight at Li Fengtu’s face.
Li Fengtu casually dodged, tilting his head. Yet, Fang Yu’s punch was a feint; as Li Fengtu dodged, Fang Yu’s other fist smashed toward his face from a different direction.
"Good."
But that exclamation was suppressed before it could be uttered, after all, given the previous lesson, everyone watched intensely as Li Fengtu was to be hit.
With a light tap of his toes, Li Fengtu, like a dragonfly skimming the water, took a step forward, and Fang Yu’s attack missed once again. Li Fengtu stood with his hands behind his back, looking at Fang Yu.
"Is this all you’ve got when you’re serious?"
Li Fengtu’s contemptuous words instantly ignited the fire in Fang Yu’s heart; he was actually being underestimated.
"You’re asking for it."
Fang Yu’s eyes turned icy as he looked at Li Fengtu; he tapped his toe and shot forward like a bullet, raining down a storm of punches and kicks on Li Fengtu.
"Hiss."
"This guy is too full of himself, isn’t he? Standing there with his hands behind his back like he’s out for a stroll."
"Never mind whether he’s putting on an act or not, Fang Yu’s face is getting smacked left and right."
Others felt it vicariously; none of Fang Yu’s flurry of punches and kicks landed, making it even more humiliating than a literal slap in the face.
Just a moment ago, they thought Fang Yu had been knocked down because he wasn’t serious or had been holding back. But now, what could they say? The opponent wasn’t even fighting back, and still, Fang Yu couldn’t land a hit.
The opponent was doing it on purpose.
"Enough."
Then, Wu Yi, who had been watching from the side, finally spoke up, "Buddy, if you’ve got the skills, show them. Why mock him like this? Do you think you’re being clever?"
Li Fengtu turned his head to look at Wu Yi, "Are you teaching me a lesson?"
Wu Yi let out a cold laugh, "Fang Yu, stop."
"Fang Yu, I’m telling you to stop."
Wu Yi spoke again, but Fang Yu ignored Wu Yi’s call to hold back, "Wu Yi, mind your own business, I don’t believe this crap."
Fang Yu roared and pounced on Li Fengtu like a tiger descending the mountain, but Li Fengtu simply sidestepped; Fang Yu missed and almost tripped, stumbling forward.
By now, Fang Yu’s forehead was covered in sweat beads, and his breath was somewhat ragged, while Li Fengtu was still as nonchalant as ever.
The superiority was clear for all to see.
Fang Yu steadied himself, turned back to face Li Fengtu, "Have the guts to hit me, what’s the point of just dodging."
Li Fengtu watched Fang Yu, and suddenly, with a tap of his toes, he moved three times faster than before. Before people could react, Li Fengtu was already in front of Fang Yu.
One punch.
Another punch.
Fang Yu tried to block, but he was half a beat too slow, and was struck squarely on the cheek by a punch from Li Fengtu, knocking Fang Yu down to the ground with a thud.
"Any questions now?"
Li Fengtu looked around, speaking indifferently; those who’d previously defended Fang Yu looked at each other, at a loss for words.
"You’re quite the braggart, huh? Come on, let me, your grandpa, have a few words with you."
At that moment, someone stepped out from the crowd.
"What’s he doing getting mixed up in this?"
"Now there’s going to be something really interesting to watch."
