Chapter 298: Chapter 298 Boxing Club Rules
"I’ll change into a different set of clothes first, you can look around, and I’ll be back soon,"
Dong Xin whispered intimately into Li Feng’s ear before reluctantly letting go of Li Feng’s arm and suddenly turning to walk towards a nearby corridor.
Li Feng watched Dong Xin twist away and leave, sweeping his gaze around, realizing this woman had truly brought him into a den of wolves, and she had most likely done so on purpose.
As soon as Dong Xin’s figure disappeared at the entrance of the corridor, the people previously scattered around the boxing ring crowded up, and Li Feng could even feel their hostility.
These boxers around might all be Dong Xin’s admirers.
"Young Master Wu."
The crowd parted to form a pathway, and several men emerged walking towards Li Feng. The leader, a young man with a crew cut, looked Li Feng up and down and said defiantly, "What is your relationship with Dong Xin?"
Li Feng turned his head to look at the young man who spoke with hostility. They seemed to be of similar age, and he was wearing only boxing shorts, his upper body bare showing sharply defined abs, and although his muscles weren’t bulky, they were brimming with explosive power.
"What’s my relationship with her? That’s none of your damn business."
Li Feng glanced sideways dismissively. He believed in reciprocating respect with respect, but since this person obviously meant him ill, Li Feng was not about to greet him with a smile.
"F**k, this guy is quite arrogant."
"Not just arrogant, he’s outright wild. To talk to Young Master Wu like that? Just watch, this guy is going to be in trouble soon."
Murmurs arose from the crowd.
"Heh, you’re the first to talk to Young Master Wu like that here in this Boxing Club, buddy, you..."
A man next to Wu Yi gave Li Feng a thumbs up, "But I hope you don’t end up kneeling on the ground begging for mercy later."
The man watched Li Feng with a cold, mocking smile.
"Heh, you look new, your first time at Xinxin Boxing Club, huh? Do you know the rules?" another boxer asked arrogantly, tilting his head as he looked at Li Feng.
"Rules? What rules?"
"Heh, you dare to come in here knowing nothing. Truly, ignorance is fearless. But no worries, you’ll soon learn the rules of Xinxin Boxing Club."
The man walked up to Li Feng, and without another word, he threw a punch directly at Li Feng’s abdomen.
Li Feng didn’t resist and took the blow head-on, raising his eyes to the man, "Is this the rule?"
Li Feng’s lips curved with a cold sneer, "Your punch feels a bit light, though."
Hearing Li Feng’s stubborn retort, the man chuckled coldly, "I’m starting to like you. Good, seeing you’ve got some backbone, let me tell you the rules of Xinxin Boxing Club."
"The first rule of the Boxing Club, anyone pursuing Dong Xin must defeat all her other admirers in one go to qualify for stepping into that ring."
"The second rule of the Boxing Club, before accomplishing the first rule, anyone who dares break this rule will face retaliation from everyone."
"You just got close to Sister Xin, even touched her, didn’t you?"
"Heh, that’s a heinous crime. So today, everyone who saw it can beat you up."
"Got it?"
The man’s mouth curled into a brutal smile before he suddenly raised his fist and threw a hook punch at Li Feng’s face.
"Heh heh."
Everyone around watched as if enjoying a show, seeing Li Feng get beaten for being so close with their idol goddess at Xinxin Boxing Club, were they all invisible?
"They started?"
"Yeah, it’s Tang Shaocong."
"Heh, the lackey always by Young Master Wu’s side, the one who got beaten up so bad on his first visit that he crawled out, this guy now bullies newcomers too."
"The newcomer is going to suffer. Thankfully it’s morning; if it were at night, he might not even be able to crawl out."
"Hey, what do you think Xinxin means by this? Does she like this guy or not?"
"That’s a tough one for me. Xinxin knows the rules of the Boxing Club. If you say she likes him, bringing him here is just setting him up for embarrassment. But if you say she doesn’t like him, it’s the first time I’ve seen Xinxin so close to a man."
Li Feng, with a tip of his toe, immediately created some distance, and Tang Shaocong’s hooking punch missed, hitting air. Tang Shaocong was taken aback, lifting his eyes to look at Li Feng.
"Heh, you even dare to dodge. I originally just wanted to teach you a small lesson, but you’re asking for it."
Tang Shaocong stepped forward and immediately unleashed a whip kick targeting Li Feng’s head.
"Ah!"
Several receptionists immediately shut their mouths and watched; Tang Shaocong really didn’t hold back.
A critical moment.
Li Feng raised his hand, blocking the whip kick as naturally as if he were brushing dust off his sleeves, then caught Tang Shaocong’s calf in a reversal, sidestepped, and thrust forward.
Tang Shaocong, going with the motion, did a split.
"Ah!"
Though Tang Shaocong had been boxing in the Boxing Club for a couple of months, his body lacked the flexibility of a dancer. Attempting that split, he ended up pulling a muscle.
"Hiss."
The onlookers quieted down. Although Tang Shaocong was weak, they didn’t expect such an effortlessly executed block and counter to defeat him so easily.
"Heh, I knew it. Who would dare enter Xinxin Boxing Club without some skills?" Wu Yi looked at Li Feng, unimpressed and not overly surprised.
"Wu Yi, let me take this. No need to use a cleaver to kill a chicken."
A young man beside Wu Yi stood out, his eyes squinted menacingly, "Anyone has spare protective gear? Bring it over."
Soon, protective gear was tossed at Li Feng’s feet.
"Don’t say I’m bullying you. Put on the gear, so when you get hit, you’ll suffer less. Otherwise, my punches and kicks will break your bones, and you’ll end up in the hospital."
Li Feng glanced at the protective gear on the ground, picked up the hand and leg guards, and strapped them on. Seeing how compliant Li Feng was in picking up the gear, the crowd had a slight disdain for him; he had seemed much tougher before.
Apparently, this guy wasn’t as tough as he thought he was.
"Hey, you forgot the chest and head gear."
Li Feng finished putting on his hand guards and looked up, "This is enough."
The young man sneered coldly, "Hope you won’t regret this later."
With that, the young man assumed a Sanda stance, one hand guarding his head, the other probing forward, his steps quick and rhythmically shifting from side to side.
"Come on, throw a punch; let’s see how powerful your fists are."
"Are you sure you want me to punch?"
Li Feng looked at his opponent.
"Just do what I say; stop the nonsense. I can beat you in a minute; I’m giving you a chance to understand this."
The young man arrogantly gazed at Li Feng, clearly not considering him a worthy opponent.
"Understood."
Li Feng nodded, suddenly exerted force with his feet and, like an arrow, swiftly moved forward.
PS: Just two updates for today. Sigh, I thought about having some tea last night, but after drinking it, I got too excited and ended up with insomnia, went completely offline for the whole day. Tragic. Looks like I really shouldn’t drink tea at night anymore; it’s too much.
