Chapter 189: Chapter 189: Stirring Trouble in Tai Sui’s Domain
Li Feng looked up at Yuan Hua, who seemed to have abundant confidence. It was worth noting that during the phone call earlier, the other party had been casually calling out "bro" and "grandpa." Half a day had passed, and Yuan Hua’s attitude had become somewhat tough.
Li Feng didn’t need his brain to figure out that there was a problem with Yuan Hua’s bodyguards.
Narrowing his eyes, Li Feng looked at Yuan Hua slowly and methodically, "Chairman Yuan, your wound hasn’t healed yet, and you’ve already forgotten the pain."
"I’m giving you one more chance to rephrase that."
Yuan Hua coldly threatened Li Feng, showing no fear in his stare, "Li Feng, you seem to be getting a little too arrogant."
"This is the open sea after all."
"I can kill you here, and nobody would know." Yuan Hua had fought his way to where he was with Hua Transport; he had seen all sorts of situations. Not to mention those who dared to engage in smuggling—was there ever a coward among them? This was a business where they licked blood from the blades.
Li Feng sighed.
"How is it that there are always such idiots in the world, thinking everything is under their control? Something so simple, yet they make it incredibly complicated."
Li Feng said with self-mockery, looking across, "Chairman Yuan, just with these few bodyguards of yours?"
"Huh."
The man behind Yuan Hua, in his thirties, spoke up. Yuan Hua stepped aside, standing by like a lackey, letting the man take a seat.
Li Feng sized up the man, thick eyebrows, tiger eyes, rough face—a tough guy weathered by many storms.
"Ain’t you going to introduce yourself?" Li Feng asked calmly, this man must be someone important since even Yuan Hua was so respectful to him.
"No need for that; I’m just a nameless underling, running errands for people. I’m here just to solve a problem."
The man looked at Li Feng and pulled out a handgun.
"Since you know about our deal, I’m sorry, but I have to kill you now."
Li Feng glanced at the handgun slammed on the table; he stirred slightly, as the bodyguards following the man simultaneously pulled out their guns and aimed at Li Feng’s head.
"Cough, let’s not be so hot-headed, be careful it doesn’t go off."
Yuan Hua looked at Li Feng, sneering coldly, "Kid, weren’t you acting all tough just now? Why stop? Keep going."
"Still dare to threaten me? What the hell are you?"
Yuan Hua walked around the dining table, gun in hand pressed against Li Feng’s head, his face distorted with ferocity.
Yuan Hua was indeed holding back a lot of anger, and now that Li Feng was showing weakness, he naturally wanted to make him pay it all back.
With a sinister smile, Li Feng suddenly moved like a flash of lightning.
Bang.
Yuan Hua’s gun went off, but it didn’t blow off Li Feng’s head; the bullet hit the ceiling. Li Feng didn’t give Yuan Hua another chance to shoot, immediately grabbing Yuan Hua and throwing his hefty body forward.
The gunmen at the other end of the dining table were thrown into chaos—some firing, some ducking.
As a human shield, Yuan Hua blocked the shots. Li Feng stepped on the chair, leaped onto the table, and delivered a backspin kick, knocking away a swinging gun.
At the same time, he flicked his wrist, and a Chrysanthemum Coin flew out, its close-range power no less than a bullet.
Several bodyguards fell flat on their backs.
The burly man sitting opposite Li Feng never imagined that, faced with five or six guns, Li Feng could turn the tables, cursing his own carelessness for not shooting straight away.
"Ah."
The burly man blew up, flipping the conjoined table and chairs in the restaurant. Li Feng sensed something wrong, jumped off the table. Luckily, the restaurant’s high ceiling was enough to prevent him from hitting it. Midair, he delivered a knee strike.
The burly man tried to block instinctively but staggered back several steps, tripping over his own men, falling flat on his back.
Li Feng stepped on the man’s chest.
"Regretting not just shooting me right away now, aren’t you?"
The burly man tried to struggle and glared furiously at Li Feng, "Li Feng, don’t gloat. You think it’s just us? You’re wrong, we have lots more people. You won’t escape this time."
Li Feng bent down, looking at him.
"All of you think you’re so smart. Don’t you have any brains? I managed to hijack over twenty of his ships distributed all over in one night. Do you think I’m alone?"
"Frogs in a well, unfit to discuss strategies."
"Huh?"
The burly man was taken aback.
Just then, a mercenary with a dangling cigarette strolled in.
"It’s all taken care of outside."
Li Feng turned to the burly man, "Seems like your reinforcements are all wiped out. Got any last words?"
The burly man’s eyes bulged, disbelievingly looking at Li Feng, "Impossible, there’s a gunman on the ship. How many people do you have, who exactly are you?"
"We? Just passing by."
The burly man nearly choked on his own blood. They were just small-time smugglers, though a bit more formidable than average thugs. But at the end of the day, they were just bullies in their own turf.
"Yuan Hua, damn your grandmother."
The burly man was filled with sorrow and anger. Yuan Hua had not told them the truth, only saying that his ship was stolen by someone named Li Feng—a name not well-known, and he had rushed over without a second thought.
This was the Public Sea, no matter the commotion, no one would know. He wanted not only to retrieve the ship but also to kill the opponent to keep this business from leaking, as pulling one hair would affect the whole body, and his boss behind the scenes was also worried about information leaking.
This time, he had really fallen into a trap.
He hadn’t expected his opponent to have such a strong backing, no wonder he dared to stir trouble right under their noses.
"What should we do?"
"Grandpa Li, I was wrong." At that moment, Yuan Hua, who had been pretending to be dead on the ground, opened his eyes and began to wail tearfully.
