Chapter 163: Chapter 163: You Dare Threaten Me
Several security guards standing behind Hao Shengli took out police batons, flicked their wrists, and the batons extended to three sections as they charged toward Li Feng with ferocity.
Li Feng sneered at the approaching security guards and picked up one who had been knocked to the ground, then kicked him back into the oncoming guards.
The guard was sent flying like a cannonball into his colleagues, and they all went down in a heap, screaming in pain.
"You’re quite skilled."
Hao Shengli looked at Li Feng, who appeared calm and composed—no longer as relaxed as before, and quickly stepped back as Li Feng approached.
"I know I am."
After Li Feng spoke, he saw Hao Shengli behind him grab another guard and hurl him toward Li Feng. Li Feng smirked and dodged to the side.
Hao Shengli then kicked yet another guard in the behind. Before the guard could recover, he was propelled toward Li Feng.
In moments of panic, people instinctively lash out, and this guard was no exception. If Li Feng got caught, he would surely be entangled.
But Hao Shengli didn’t pause after his kick. He took a running start and tried to deliver a flying kick in a tremendous show of force.
Nice move.
Too bad.
Li Feng effortlessly placed his hand on the guard’s head while Hao Shengli’s kick landed on the guard’s back. Li Feng then sidestepped swiftly and retaliated with a side kick.
Hao Shengli, caught midair with nowhere to dodge, took Li Feng’s kick straight to his ribs. His hefty body flew three to four meters before hitting the ground.
Li Feng looked at the rolling Hao Shengli and then abruptly turned to walk back to the reception, eyeing the stunned receptionist.
"Beauty, which floor is your boss Yuan on?"
"Twenty-ninth floor."
"Thanks, um, that lipstick suits you."
The receptionist hastily covered her mouth, but seeing Li Feng head toward the elevators, her face fell, wondering if she should quit.
Ding-dong.
Li Feng stepped out of the elevator and straight down the corridor to the chairman’s office, pushing the door open.
"President Yuan, fancy seeing you here."
Li Feng entered the expansive office, finding Yuan Hua sitting in his executive chair, his face fraught with panic.
Yuan Hua, seeing Li Feng, showed a mix of shock and rage, "How did you get up here?"
"President Yuan, what kind of question is that? I just walked, of course. Oh, and your security was very welcoming, though it wasn’t necessary since you’re the boss and we’re the ones you hire to do the work."
Li Feng looked at Yuan Hua on his executive chair.
Yuan Hua, burning with anger, retorted, "You do remember you’re the one I’m paying to work, right? What are you doing here? Did you get canned and come to beg me?"
"President Yuan, you jest. I came to persuade you to consider my suggestion, to turn swords into plowshares. Let’s make big issues small and small issues disappear."
Yuan Hua slapped the desk angrily, "Dream on, making me apologize to that bitch."
"You think I was kicked in the head by a donkey? If anyone should apologize, she should come to me. I heard you know that Tong Qian. Listen well, tell her to come and kneel before me. I might consider letting her off. Otherwise, I’ll make sure her family can’t live in peace."
Li Feng exhaled, looking at Yuan Hua, "President Yuan, are you serious?"
"I’m dead serious. And you, if you speak another word for that bitch, I’ll make sure you end up just like her."
"President Yuan, what makes you so confident to talk like this?"
Yuan Hua sneered, "I have money and power, while you are nothing. I can crush you as easily as stepping on an ant."
"Is that so? Then there’s nothing more to discuss?"
Li Feng looked indifferently at Yuan Hua, who reclined back in his executive chair, squinting at Li Feng like an alligator choosing its prey.
"Hmph, who do you think you are, daring to talk to me? Next time, send Zhou Jie here, and tell him, I’m giving your company one day, now, just twelve hours left."
"No need for that long."
Li Feng sat on the other’s desk, lifted his wrist, and then looked at him, "I heard your Da Hua Group has a shipping company under it, owning over twenty bulk cargo ships."
Yuan Hua furrowed his brows, puzzled about what Li Feng meant.
"What do you mean?"
Li Feng smiled at him and began, "As far as I know, the main pillars of your Da Hua Group are a shipyard and this shipping company."
"I checked, a cargo ship of tens of thousands of tons, depending on whether it’s bulk or container, costs between two hundred million to four hundred million. Accounting for depreciation and other losses, cutting it down to seventy percent, these ships would still be valued at thirty to forty billion."
"Are you threatening me?"
Yuan Hua sneered out loud, "Who are you to threaten me? What, you want to blow up my ships?"
"I’d give you two gallant hearts if you had the guts to do so."
Li Feng suddenly laughed, "It’s really unfortunate, but I actually do."
"It’s about time now."
Just as Li Feng’s words fell, the phone on the desk rang. Li Feng looked at Yuan Hua, "President Yuan, please, take it."
Yuan Hua, looking at Li Feng’s presumptuous demeanor, snorted coldly. This Mr. Li, just a newcomer from Myth Communication, was never worth his attention.
He never expected this brat to actually dare to threaten him.
All bluff and bluster.
Yuan Hua picked up the phone, "Hello, speaking."
"You’re the chairman of Da Hua Group. The ship, Da Hua 0536, that’s your ship, right?"
"Who is this?"
Yuan Hua was suddenly shocked; that ship really was his, 0536 being a newly joined hundred thousand ton container ship, brand spanking new, worth four hundred million.
"It’s fine, I’ll have someone else speak to you."
"Chairman, Chairman."
"Who is this?"
Yuan Hua asked gravely.
"I’m Captain Hu, chairman, you’ve met me before."
"What exactly happened?"
"The ship has been hijacked by a group; they demand a ransom of five million Federation Coins, or they’ll blow up the ship."
"They also said, they’re giving you just three minutes to decide."
"Hello, hello."
Yuan Hua suddenly stood up and shouted loudly, but the line was already cut. Next second, Yuan Hua looked up at Li Feng.
A storm of shock and fear raged inside him because clearly, the person on the phone knew; they timed it perfectly, forcing him to answer, pushing him to apologize, and they even used pirates?
Damn it.
This could actually work?
Li Feng looked at Yuan Hua indifferently, "Take it easy, you still have some time. It’s just one ship, just a few hundred million, think of it as setting off a big firework."
"Besides, President Yuan gave me twelve hours. Apart from this one, you’ve got over twenty more ships, we can talk slowly. After all, President Yuan is rich and powerful, money is no object."
