Chapter 162: Chapter 162: The Most Venomous Woman’s Heart
"How come, are you shy?"
Tong Qian looked at Li Feng slumped in his seat, her lips curling into a mocking smile, then she casually flipped her wavy long hair.
Tong Qian was fully confident in her own allure. Being admitted to Sea City’s Academy of Drama was already a one-in-ten-thousand chance, and now she had become one of the four popular young actresses in Sea City, a red-hot starlet.
To achieve such success, Tong Qian certainly had top-notch looks, and her figure was even more the golden ratio of nine heads tall; at the moment, she was wearing only a black camisole nightgown.
A female artist who had trained in dance and systematically studied body movement certainly knew how to display her beauty.
Tong Qian walked toward Li Feng with a cat-like tread, unhurried.
Li Feng could feel the charm that Tong Qian exuded. Any man, it seemed, would find it difficult to resist.
"Li Feng, thank you for what you’ve done for me."
"You rest first, I’ll go handle the people outside."
Tong Qian tore away the curtain that covered her and discovered that Li Feng had already left the room. She immediately clenched her fists.
"Li Feng, are you insulting my charm?"
She had just been trying to seduce him, making Li Feng feel utterly unfamiliar with her, as if he didn’t recognize her.
At sea.
Splash, splash.
Several sounds of falling into the water followed; the shock from the sea jolted several thugs who had gone after Tong Qian awake. Upon waking, they found themselves in the sea and desperately struggled to surface.
"Hurry up and pull us up."
"Having dared to mess with us, you’re dead meat."
Li Feng stood on the boat, looking at the still defiant thugs, and coldly smiled, "Seeing how lively you are, I can rest assured."
"See that? That’s land over there. You’ll have to make the rest of the journey on your own. I wish you a pleasant trip."
With that, Li Feng started the boat and sped away.
"Stop the boat!"
Li Feng paid no attention to the thugs. The distance to land was roughly two or three sea miles; whether they could make it back alive was not up to him.
It was all down to fate.
Li Feng stopped the boat at a dock and went ashore, taking a taxi back to the Sea District. On the way, he received some information collected by Sofia.
Yuan Hua, chairman of Dahu Shipping Group, not only owned a shipyard but also had a medium-sized fleet for shipping. With the fleet, he had opened an import and export trading company and had various other businesses under his name.
All things considered, Yuan Hua’s assets exceeded ten billion, but they were mostly heavy assets, such as the shipyard and the bulk carriers of the shipping company.
Sea smuggling.
Li Feng, looking at the information at the end, saw that Sofia had bought details from the dark web that obviously couldn’t be found on the public internet, almost digging up all of Yuan Hua’s secrets.
Li Feng leaned back in the taxi seat, digesting the information. Yuan Hua had control over a smuggling and trafficking network.
"Master, go to Hua Yun Tower."
"Mr. Yuan, there’s someone from Myth Communication at the front desk asking to see you."
"Someone from Myth Communication, what’s his name?"
"He said his name is Li Feng," said the receptionist.
"Li Feng."
Yuan Hua’s mind immediately conjured up the image of the newcomer at Myth Communication who had talked back to him, daring to come looking for him.
"I know," Yuan Hua said with a cold smile. "Don’t worry about it." He pressed the intercom, "Security department, please."
"No more messing around, we’ve got work to do."
A middle-aged man with a gloomy face and a knife scar at the corner of his eye pushed open the door and looked into the smoky security break room. He went up and kicked over a card table with his foot.
"What’s going on, Captain Hao?"
"Got a call from Boss Yuan, to beat someone up."
In the lobby of Myth Communication’s headquarters on the first floor, Li Feng glanced out of the corner of his eye and saw a group of burly men in security uniforms coming out of the corridor. The receptionist looked surprised for a moment, then smiled awkwardly.
A dozen security guards surrounded the front desk. The middle-aged man leading them, Captain Hao, scanned Li Feng up and down, "Are you Li Feng?"
"Yes, I am."
"Good. Boss Yuan said to teach you a lesson."
After saying this, Captain Hao chuckled coldly and hooked his finger, beckoning two of the security guards who approached with cold smiles, cracking their knuckles.
"Come on, let us brothers give you a good beating."
Without further ado, one of them swung a fist at Li Feng’s face. Li Feng sneered disdainfully, didn’t back down but moved forward, dodged the fist, and closed the distance.
Smack, smack.
He struck the man’s face twice, causing stars to appear before his eyes. Li Feng then followed up with a kick to the man’s lower body.
"Aow!"
The man immediately fell to his knees, curling up like a shrimp.
"I—"
The other security guard, startled for a second, rushed towards Li Feng while cursing. Li Feng spun around with a roundhouse kick. His leg, longer than his opponent’s arms, made it impossible for the attacking fist to close the gap, as if a chasm lay between them.
Hmph.
Li Feng’s kick landed on the man’s stomach, and the already unsteady security guard took a heavy fall face-first to the ground.
Hiss.
The surrounding security guards took a sharp intake of breath. It was clear from his smooth and decisive moves that Li Feng had training.
Captain Hao’s expression turned gloomy. "All attack together, I don’t believe he has three heads and six arms."
As the saying goes, it’s hard for a good tiger to stand against a pack of wolves...
Li Feng didn’t wait for them all to rush him at once. As soon as their words fell, like a leopard, Li Feng pounced on a security guard to the side and with one kick sent him flying.
The building’s cleaners were obviously very diligent, as the flying guard rolled over ten meters across the floor before crashing into a wall and stopping.
Li Feng landed, then swiftly moved again like a ghostly figure. Before the guard in front of him could recover, Li Feng’s punch broke his nose, spraying a stream of blood.
Li Feng continued, hooking the downed guard’s ankle with his foot and pulling it, causing the guard to topple backward, his head hitting the floor with a loud crack.
As that guard fell, Li Feng grabbed another guard’s arm, pulled him over—and the man face-planted into the ground.
In the blink of an eye, three or four were down, and the guards intended to attack Li Feng had diminished by a third.
Seizing the opportunity, Li Feng pressed the attack. The guards of Myth Communication’s headquarters were just local thugs, barely competent in street fights. Against Li Feng, they were mere ants.
Li Feng hadn’t even taken the fight seriously and had already floored a mass of guards as if it were a game.
"What was that you said earlier? I didn’t quite catch it."
Li Feng squinted and smiled at the middle-aged man with a darkened face—all but stripped of his command—the man stared back at Li Feng with a heavy gaze.
"Don’t be too smug, get the weapons."
