Chapter 159: Chapter 159: You’re Awesome

Li Feng didn’t dodge and was directly splashed in the face with water. Zhou Jie glanced back with a bit of schadenfreude and then walked out of the room.

"I told you to get lost."

Tong Qian bit her lip as she looked at Li Feng, who was drenched like a drowned rat.

"I’ll give you an explanation for this matter."

"Ha, now that you’re acting like a lackey, what kind of explanation can you give me, Li Feng? From now on, I don’t ever want to see you again."

Li Feng, seeing the resentment on Tong Qian’s face, didn’t bother explaining and abruptly turned and left the room.

He went downstairs.

When Li Feng saw Zhou Jie and Linda waiting downstairs, he went straight up to them, "I need to see President Yuan."

Zhou Jie smirked coldly, "You want to see President Yuan? Do you think President Yuan is someone you can just see whenever you wish?"

Li Feng raised his eyes and glanced at Zhou Jie, then, without a word, walked straight out of the courtyard, leaving Zhou Jie surprised that Li Feng didn’t show him any respect, which made his face darken.

Acting all high and mighty.

Really thinks because he’s the son-in-law of the Wang family’s daughter that he can act like the boss.

Zhou Jie didn’t care about Li Feng at all; as a company partner and shareholder, Li Feng was just a new recruit, starting on his first day. Could he really turn everything upside down?

After sailing back to Sea City from the island, they arrived at the company, where a receptionist saw Zhou Jie, "General Zhou, President Yuan is here, in the guest lounge."

"Good, I know."

Zhou Jie gave a grunt and walked toward the guest lounge.

Li Feng followed behind Zhou Jie and entered the guest lounge, where he then saw President Yuan, a middle-aged man in his forties with a big round face, a double chin, and hair that was slightly balding.

"President Yuan."

"General Zhou, what kind of job are you guys doing here? I gave you ten million to settle things with that woman, and now, instead, she’s become even more aggressive."

"She’s going to sue me. Do you know how much trouble this will bring me?"

Yuan Hua was banging his hands on the conference table, burning with anger as he looked at Zhou Jie.

"President Yuan, please calm down. We’ve already met with Miss Tong and reiterated your conditions to her."

"Oh, you’ve met? What are her conditions?"

"President Yuan, the other party is just a celebrity, interested in nothing more than money and resources. Rest assured, we will handle this matter."

Zhou Jie assured the other party.

"President Yuan."

Li Feng stepped forward and walked into the conference room, sweeping his gaze at Yuan Hua, who not only had a sleazy appearance but also eyes that exuded lewdness.

"To settle this matter is simple. All you need to do is publicly admit your wrongs, sincerely apologize to Miss Tong, and show remorse. I think Miss Tong won’t hold onto this matter."

Yuan Hua turned to look at Li Feng as he stepped forward and sized him up, then turned to Zhou Jie, "General Zhou, who is this, telling me to apologize?"

"Oh, he’s new here."

"New here? Have you been kicked in the head by a donkey? If I knew how to apologize, would I need to spend money to hire you? Are all of you useless?"

Yuan Hua stretched out his hand and jabbed at Li Feng’s chest, "I’ll tell you, there will be no apologies. If there’s an apology to be made, it’s from that woman."

"She has caused irreparable damage to my reputation."

"And you, disappear from my sight immediately."

Yuan Hua vented his anger, then turned to Zhou Jie, "What kind of people are you guys recruiting into the company? Hurry up with the time, I’m giving you one day. If you can’t handle it, I’ll find someone else to deal with it."

After saying this, Yuan Hua suddenly turned, and his shoulder collided with Li Feng’s body, intending to teach this newcomer a lesson. Not expecting Li Feng to not budge, Yuan Hua almost stumbled as if knocked against an iron board, barely avoiding a face-plant.

"President Yuan."

Zhou Jie hurriedly came up to support him, and Yuan Hua, with a loss of face, stood up, his expression looking very ugly as he turned to Li Feng.

"General Zhou, your new recruit seems quite bold," Yuan Hua said, his tone containing a hint of malice.

Li Feng turned and looked at Yuan Hua, "President Yuan, I wasn’t joking with you earlier. I want you to apologize to Miss Tong, seek her forgiveness, and as the only solution."

Yuan Hua was provoked to laughter, pointing his finger at Li Feng.

"Who do you think you are, talking to me like this? You want me to beg that woman for forgiveness?"

"She’s just an actress; really thinks she’s some big star. I’ve seen plenty like her. Pretty and pure on the outside, but slutty behind closed doors."

"I’m telling you clearly, there will be no apologies, no compensation. Either she kneels and begs me, or I will ruin her."

"President Yuan, please calm down."

"Zhou Jie, one day. I’m giving you one day."

Yuan Hua turned indignantly to leave, and Zhou Jie escorted the man to the elevator, his face dark as he turned around and came back to look at Li Feng.

"You’re so confident, then you handle this matter. Either you deal with Yuan Hua, or you handle Tong Qian. If you can’t manage it in one day, ha, just go and explain it to the president."

Zhou Jie looked coldly at Li Feng, sneered, and turned away, "What are you staring at? Get back to work."

"What happened?" Someone in the office area started inquiring, not knowing what was going on.

"What else could it be? General Zhou took on a million-yuan big case, and this new guy seemingly butted in and angered the client. Now there’s going to be a scene to watch."

"His, General Zhou is our company’s golden PR. To see him this upset by a newcomer..."

"The guy’s got a big backer, being the president’s son-in-law. It’s different."

The news quickly reached Wang Jin’er’s ears, and she had her secretary call Li Feng to the president’s office.

"You go out first."

Wang Jin’er motioned for the secretary to leave, stood up, and walked around the desk toward Li Feng.

Li Feng looked at Wang Jin’er, his eyes lighting up. The few times he had seen her previously, she had dressed rather casually and sportily. He hadn’t expected that donning such an office uniform today would be quite stunning.

Her shoulder-length hair tied into a ponytail and gold-rimmed glasses on her nose added an intellectual and capable air to Wang Jin’er.

The white blouse, a pencil skirt cinching her waist, outlined her figure down to the last detail, and her straight long legs matched with black silk high heels, were fully armed to the teeth.

Woman’s battle mode, truly full of the aura of a president.

"What are you looking at?"

Wang Jin’er, face blushing from being stared at, chided Li Feng, who swallowed audibly, "You look so beautiful in that outfit."

Wang Jin’er rolled her eyes and spat dismissively, "Cut it out. What’s the matter with you? You just arrived at the company and already clashed with a senior executive. Now the whole company is talking about you."

Li Feng walked over to the sofa nonchalantly and sat down, "Even if it wasn’t for this, the whole company would still know that I’m your princess’s husband-to-be, parachuted in through the back door, the pretty boy living off a woman."

Wang Jin’er was startled, "How could that be?"
