Chapter 156: Chapter 156: Living Off a Woman

"Your name is Li Feng?"

In the HR department of Myth Communication, a white-collar worker looked up and down Li Feng a few times, clearly having heard of him before.

"It’s me."

"Mhm, fill out this form first."

The female white-collar worker took out a form and handed it to Li Feng, "Wait, don’t move."

As she spoke, the woman took out her phone and snapped a photo of Li Feng.

Li Feng furrowed his brows.

"You’re taking my photo?"

The woman looked at Li Feng, "What’s wrong with me taking your photo? If I don’t take one, how am I supposed to make your employee card? Don’t make a big deal out of it."

"You graduated from Adult College?"

The woman clicked her tongue twice, "Your work history is quite extensive. I really don’t know how you got so lucky... Okay, follow me."

The woman looked at Li Feng disdainfully and led him out of the HR department, "Linda, here’s someone to run errands for you, take charge."

The woman pushed open the door to a private office and spoke to a short-haired beauty inside.

"Hm?"

Linda frowned, "A newcomer? Don’t you know I’m short-staffed?"

"I know you’re not short-staffed, but who can argue with a powerful backer behind someone? It’s what the higher-ups ordered, be patient."

"Don’t you know my boss’s temper? If things go wrong, I might be in trouble."

"This time even your boss will have to suck it up and deal with it."

"Hm?"

"He is the big boss’s son-in-law, understand!"

After saying this, the female white-collar patted the other’s shoulder, "Alright, I’ve brought him to you. How you use him is up to you, but the bosses want him to be properly trained, to be treated the same as everyone else, no special treatment."

Linda frowned, watching the HR personnel leave and then looked at Li Feng; this wasn’t just someone to run errands, but a hot potato indeed.

"Come with me, I’ll find you a spot."

Linda stood up, leading Li Feng into the large office area, found an empty desk, "Just sit here for now, get to know the work environment first, and we’ll talk about your duties later."

"Thanks."

Li Feng sat down at the new desk.

"Hey."

"What’s up?"

"Check the group chat," a woman in uniform, stockings, and high heels came to a colleague’s desk.

"Hm?" The woman opened the group chat, was instantly bombarded with messages, quickly scrolled through the chat history, and spotted the juicy gossip.

"Seriously? Is that true?"

The woman was shocked, this was definitely the company’s biggest news of the year, comparable to an atomic bomb explosion.

"Here."

The woman sitting at the desk looked up, puckered her lips towards Li Feng, and the sitting woman followed her gaze.

"Is that him?"

"That’s him, the HR just brought him over. Reliable sources say this guy is the Wang Family’s daughter’s husband, apparently brought in by a direct call from the chairman."

"He’s pretty handsome."

"Pfft, pity he’s just a kept man," the sitting woman said disdainfully.

"You’re telling me, what was our chairman’s daughter thinking, choosing such a gold-digger?"

"How would I know, I’ve never met the lady. Besides, with the status of the Wang Family’s daughter, it’s not easy to find a suitable match. Maybe it’s true love, who knows."

Their voices weren’t loud, but Li Feng’s hearing was excellent, and he heard every word clearly. And it wasn’t just them; throughout the office, people occasionally glanced his way, as if he had become famous overnight.

Moreover, nearly everything about his background had become public knowledge.

"Ha ha, well done, Mr. Li, let’s see how you continue to mingle here." Li Mingrui looked at his phone, feeling quite pleased.

When Li Mingrui had learned that Li Feng had been assigned to Myth Communication, he had someone leak all of Li Feng’s details.

Hmm, public opinion is indeed fearsome, I’d like to see how thick your skin is.

"Boss."

Linda handed a glass of water to her boss, who looked rather upset, "What’s wrong?"

"Nothing much, just that a new president parachuted in, the daughter of the Wang Family."

Upon hearing this, Linda said, "Boss, HR just sent someone over named Li Feng, they say he’s the Wang Family daughter’s live-in son-in-law?"

Zhou Jie hmmphed, "I already know."

"Boss, what’s the group’s intention? Not only parachuting the daughter but also dumping her son-in-law here?"

"Hmph, Myth Communication is majorly owned by the Wang Family, I’m merely a partner. Alright, go gather everyone for a meeting."

"Okay." Linda nodded and turned to call for a meeting.

"Bring the new guy too."

Linda was momentarily taken aback but then nodded. After all, Myth Communication gets over seventy percent of its business from the subsidiaries of Shenchuang Group, and for the Wang Family, Shenchuang Group is just one of their holdings.

Myth Communication might just be a testing ground given to their children by the Wang Family; even if they mess up, the Wang Family, with its vast business empire, wouldn’t really care.

"Li Feng, go to the small conference room for the meeting."

Li Feng hadn’t expected to be called in for the meeting; he was quite surprised but followed Linda to the conference room.

"Everyone’s here; let’s get straight to the point. The case this time involves a sexual harassment incident disclosed by the popular new actress Tong Qian."

"Our client is the CEO of a company that is currently seeking to go public; you could say that as soon as this incident broke, it quickly fermented in the entertainment news segment. The person involved, Tong Qian, is unwilling to engage with us."

"Right now, our client demands that we resolve this issue promptly. So, the urgent task is to locate Tong Qian and establish contact with her."

"Boss, I’ve been following this case. I’ve also seen that video; it’s a tough situation. Based on the evidence released so far, unless we can contact Tong Qian and seek her forgiveness, it’ll be hard to resolve."

"Yeah, I’ve seen that video too; the guy was drunk, but it was definitely over the line."

"To be honest, I don’t think it’s much of a deal. Which female star in the entertainment industry is clean? It’s clear that Tong Qian is now eyeing some benefits; otherwise, this wouldn’t have blown up so much."

A male colleague spoke up.

Tong Qian?

Li Feng furrowed his brow; could it be a coincidence? Probably not; they mentioned she’s a popular new actress from Sea City.

Li Feng quickly took out his phone and searched. Sure enough, he found the viral video: it was in a hotel lounge, a middle-aged sleazy man had slapped Tong Qian and said something very ugly.

Basically calling her a slut, ’You’re just a prostitute pretending to be high and mighty. I fancy you, you should be happy.’

"Right now, the key to solving this problem is getting in touch with Tong Qian, talking about anything else is useless. Only by meeting with Tong Qian can we start to resolve this issue."

"So, everyone’s gone mute?"

"The paparazzi can’t find her; where are we supposed to look? We’re not familiar with the entertainment circle."

"Apparently, they can’t even get in touch with Tong Qian’s agent."

"Anyway, mobilize connections, try everything; don’t emphasize the difficulty to me. The other party is offering ten million." Zhou Jie slammed the table.

"So, we just need to make contact with Tong Qian, is that it?"

Li Fengtu suddenly spoke up.

The eyes of everyone in the meeting room immediately turned towards Li Feng.
