Chapter 153: Chapter 142: The Boss Really Dares to Go Ahead
"One million!"
Feng Biao mumbled under his breath, then he pressed the window control button, and the glass started to lower.
"One million!"
Feng Biao adjusted his two noise-cancelling earplugs, making sure there were no gaps.
"One million!"
He lifted the gun, stretched the muzzle out, and rested it on the car window.
"One million!"
Lin Xianghua finally couldn’t bear it any longer, "That’s enough already, what do you mean by that!"
"I need to remind myself that the one million is already in hand; otherwise, I wouldn’t have the courage to shoot."
Lin Xianghua was momentarily stunned, then he released the brake and started moving the car. After waiting for two hours, Fesari’s people began to come out of the dental clinic. If he was to seize the opportunity to shoot, he had to stop the car at the moment before Fesari got on his vehicle.
Lin Xianghua rolled down his own window, his left hand on the steering wheel, his right hand holding the rifle, the muzzle resting on the window on the left side.
"One million!"
Feng Biao chambered a round with a crisp, distinctive click.
"What are you muttering!"
Lin Xianghua said discontentedly, controlling the accelerator with his right foot, slowly slowing down, crossing the intersection, and finally stopping at the corner.
This way, the left side of the car was directly facing the target’s location.
Feng Biao positioned his head behind the scope, and the moment the car came to a complete and stable stop, he whispered softly, "One million!"
Having said that, he pulled the trigger.
A loud bang followed, the sound of the large-caliber sniper rifle was terrifyingly loud; without earplugs, the noise alone could leave one deaf.
The timing was just perfect; a group of people formed a circle, escorting the target out. They were a few meters away from the vehicle, but they were right in the middle between the clinic and the car.
A loud bang, a massive splatter of blood, no screams— the crowd around Fesari collapsed like a suddenly fractured wall.
One shot hit two people, regardless of Fesari’s guards, with this shot, two were definitely dead, and a large gap immediately appeared in the protective circle around Fesari.
It was sudden, rare, and astonishing.
Assassins don’t do this, assassins definitely wouldn’t do this since it’s not their expertise or something they could accomplish—a real assassin wouldn’t dare do such a thing.
"One million, one million!"
Before the bodyguards could react, Feng Biao’s eyes didn’t leave the scope, his right hand quickly operating the bolt, ejecting a huge shell and quickly chambering another round for firing.
Another deafening gunshot followed.
At this point, Lin Xianghua also started shooting towards the crowd.
Just resting the gun on the window, the vibrations from the engine affected his shooting somewhat, but Lin Xianghua aimed at the densest part of the crowd and pulled the trigger, releasing a volley of bullets.
The bodyguards turned their aims, targeting Lin Xianghua and his companion.
They fired, bullets whistling, hitting the car body.
Lin Xianghua dropped the rifle and yelled towards where Fesari was.
"Die!"
"One million!"
Feng Biao also roared, chambering another round and pulling the trigger for the third time; a deafening bang followed, and again it was a double kill.
The large-caliber rifle was dominant, though low in firing rate, the power was terrifyingly high.
Lin Xianghua kept firing until the magazine was empty, then he released the brake pedal, pressed the gas, and without steering, let the car start moving.
Bullets rattled against the car.
From Fesari’s group, a muffled voice arose.
"It’s him, it’s him! That’s him! Catch him! I want him alive!"
Fesari really was there because he indeed needed to see a doctor.
But Fesari didn’t bring so many people just to form a human wall for protection; he was more eager to draw out Sky Garden, capture them, and then slowly pull out every one of their teeth.
Caught by surprise but not panicking, the security team started to change formation, one of the leaders shouted: "Target spotted at intersection three, now driving toward direction four, intercepting personnel take note, begin encirclement, over."
Lin Xianghua drove fast, Feng Biao stowed the sniper rifle, then yelled at Lin Xianghua: "We’ve already shot, hand over the handgun for protection!"
"No!"
Lin Xianghua threw the empty rifle on the passenger seat, he’d rather leave the gun unattended than give it to Feng Biao.
Feng Biao angrily said, "I’ve already shot; now we are escaping, don’t be too excessive!"
Lin Xianghua unhesitatingly replied, "Keep yourself out of other things, just sit tight!"
He just didn’t trust Feng Biao. After shouting that, he loudly asked, "Boss, how’s it going?"
"It’s really started. They are chasing you, at least ten vehicles. It looks like I’ve got a chance here."
Gao Yi really thought there was a chance.
Fesari’s bodyguards were reduced by two-thirds in an instant, most of the guards, readying their guns, rushed into their vehicles, chasing in the direction of Lin Xianghua.
Two hundred million dollars in bounty, two hundred million—these people were less concerned about protecting Fesari and more about nabbing that reward.
Five bodies lay on the ground, and about ten people still surrounded Fesari.
Strictly speaking, under normal circumstances, Fesari should have been safe by now.
From an assassin’s perspective, for a standard assassination, this operation had already failed—thoroughly so.
The reason was simple. With a dozen bodyguards still firmly protecting the target, no normal assassin could possibly break through this protective ring and kill the target.
Not only did Fesari dare to go out, but he also dared to use himself as bait to lure out Gao Yi and his team. Naturally, he had confidence; he might have already turned Dammam City into a massive trap, waiting for Gao Yi to show up before initiating a city-wide manhunt.
After the attack, the most pressing thing was certainly to leave immediately. If Fesari had gotten into his bulletproof car and swiftly driven off, then Gao Yi really wouldn’t have had much of a chance.
However, Fesari didn’t act as expected. Whether driven by hatred or genuinely feeling safer in the clinic than in a car, he didn’t get into the vehicle but instead briskly returned to the clinic under the escort of his men.
Gao Yi wanted to kill Fesari, and Fesari likewise dreamed of killing him.
Normal people would have run at this point, but Gao Yi and his associate, member "55," were each more abnormal than the other, or rather, each more stubborn and crazed.
The opportunity wasn’t great yet, but opportunities are created. If this one wasn’t good enough, they’d just keep creating favorable ones.
Gao Yi placed his hand on 55’s chest, and 55 gently placed their hand over his.
With his left hand on the steering wheel and a flick of his right hand, Gao Yi moved 55’s hand away and said gravely, "Hand grenade!"
bent down, grabbed a hand grenade from beneath his feet, pulled the pin, and placed the grenade in Gao Yi’s hand.
Knowing that Fesari would have many guards around him, weapons effective against large groups were essential, which is why they also had several rocket launchers prepared in Lin Xianghua’s vehicle.
Gao Yi himself wasn’t adept with rocket launchers but he at least knew how to throw hand grenades.
Fesari retreated into the clinic with at least seven or eight bodyguards while leaving four outside, two guarding the clinic entrance and two at the curb.
Gao Yi didn’t know the exact situation on Fesari’s end but seeing fewer and fewer people around him, he was certainly becoming more exhilarated.
They weren’t parked far, and Gao Yi’s car was fast; they drove toward the clinic, slowing down their speed. The two men at the curb raised their rifles, aiming at Gao Yi who was driving.
One person raised an arm, waving to the side, signaling Gao Yi’s vehicle to stop and back off.
Even as Fesari’s guards, they couldn’t just shoot everyone because though Fesari was wealthy, he lived in Dammam City; he didn’t own it.
This city had many people of wealth and power.
Gao Yi slowly stopped the car about a dozen meters from the two armed guards, then acted very frightened while 55 threw a bag onto Gao Yi’s lap and began screaming inside the car.
A few dismembered bodies lay on the ground—a woman seeing this and starting to scream in fear wasn’t unusual, was it?
If a man had come out, the guards might have just shot him, but 55 removed her headscarf. Despite wearing a black robe, her devastatingly beautiful features were exposed. When she screamed and ran from the car, the two men at the curb held their fire.
"Stop!"
"Lady, leave this place..."
The two guards patiently warned 55 to leave instead of shooting her immediately.
This was the effect Gao Yi wanted.
Shouting loudly, Gao Yi opened the door with his left hand and then raised his hand; his right was hidden in his coat. After getting out and turning around, he didn’t dare to face the two guards, which naturally made him appear completely non-threatening.
He released his grip, letting the grenade handle spring in his hand, silently counted to three, turned around at the car’s rear, and tossed the grenade.
Gao Yi was accurate even when throwing chopsticks, let alone a grenade.
One guard had his gun pointed at Gao Yi, but his head was slightly tilted, fixated on the terrified-looking 55 standing seemingly unsure what to do.
Suddenly, 55 lunged forward and sprawled onto the ground, appearing more like she fell than intentionally lay down.
Her two pristine legs kicked up.
One guard even instinctively moved to help 55, his left hand leaving his weapon in a futile gesture to assist.
These guards were sorely lacking in quality.
The grenade flew over ten meters— a distance that should have been safe, but instead, a swift and accurate grenade flew in, a peripheral glimpse of a shadow turned the guard’s head, only to be struck squarely on the forehead by the grenade.
This was a grenade, not a rock, and grenades explode.
It detonated upon impact with his forehead.
With a boom, the grenade exploded mid-air.
The head of the guard it struck was still there, just not fully intact, and his companion beside him fell without even a groan.
As she lay on the ground, 55 extended her arms and pulled her robe forward, pulling handguns from her thighs and sweeping them forward, opening fire on the two guards at the entrance.
Gao Yi turned back to the car window, grabbing a bag full of grenades. He took one, pulled the pin, and threw it straight into the clinic’s main entrance.
The grenade bounced off the glass and fell, but its explosion immediately shattered the window; then, Gao Yi quickly took out two more grenades and threw them through the clinic’s entrance before lifting the bag filled with grenades and stepping over 55 still lying on the ground. With his right hand, he pulled down 55’s robe at the waist.
Her bottom was exposed, indecently so.
Casually fixing 55’s clothes, Gao Yi finally remembered to notify his comrades and said into the radio, "Opportunity, we’re going in!"
pushed up from the ground with both arms, gun in her left hand pointing down and the other raised, she charged toward the clinic’s entrance.
Gao Yi slung the bag filled with grenades around his neck, pulled another pin, and followed 55 into the clinic.
"Slow down!"
Gao Yi had to tell 55 to slow down.
Meanwhile, in the car, Feng Biao, overwhelmed by grief and shock, exclaimed, "F**k! The boss really dares to go in?"
