Chapter 100: Chapter 90: Black Wave

Martin’s car stopped first; he suddenly slammed on the brakes and parked slightly in front of Trash Dog’s house.

The car window in the backseat where Lin Xianghua was sitting had been rolled down, his gun pointed outside. Holding the gun with one hand and resting the other on the door handle, the moment the car stopped, he fiercely pushed open the door, landed on both feet, and immediately rushed towards the house door.

His gun was always aimed at Trash Dog’s entrance, ready to fire as soon as he got off the car. Lin Xianghua was quite professional.

Gao Yi exited the car just a step slower than Lin Xianghua.

There were about four or five steps at the entrance. Lin Xianghua, holding the gun with both hands and taking small, rapid steps, climbed up, keeping the gun steady.

But Gao Yi lunged up in one stride; he wasn’t about to climb the steps one by one, especially since he didn’t need to keep his gun steady.

With a quick dash to the door, Gao Yi raised his hammer with his right hand and ferociously smashed it down on the door lock.

With a loud clang, the door lock was smashed open, and Gao Yi kicked fiercely, causing the white door to bounce back, revealing a crack.

Screams echoed from behind the door; there were shouts and senseless yelling.

Lin Xianghua advanced, firing a burst of bullets towards the door, then he harshly commanded, "Pull!"

With the hammer hooked into the broken hole, Gao Yi violently pulled back, and without any hesitation, Lin Xianghua, gun raised, charged in.

This was a classic breach entry.

Gao Yi followed closely behind.

There were about seven or eight people inside, most sitting on a long sofa, with the television still blaring loudly. A black man stood next to the door, and Lin Xianghua’s burst of gunfire hit another person behind the door.

After entering the room, Lin Xianghua fired a shot towards the ceiling. The bright lights immediately went out, but there were still a few small lamps in the corners of the living room, so the room wasn’t pitch black, just significantly dimmer.

The black man standing behind the door raised his handgun towards Lin Xianghua, but as he was raising his gun, Lin Xianghua, who had just shot the ceiling, smoothly pressed down his own gun and shot the black man in the head.

Several people on the sofa stood up, and there were guns on the coffee table in front of them, although most people still preferred to keep their guns on them.

Lin Xianghua held his gun and swept across, not holding down the trigger constantly, but firing in bursts, "Tat-tat-tat, tat-tat-tat," each burst three shots, sweeping from left to right. After one round, only two people had escaped his initial fire.

Gao Yi, holding a pistol in his left hand, fired four shots, but each shot landed behind Lin Xianghua, following up meaninglessly on each shot Lin Xianghua took.

There was no coordination, no clear division of shooting targets.

A black man suddenly rolled behind the sofa, then raised his handgun over the back of the sofa to fire, while another took a few running steps before collapsing on the floor and then screamed, "Don’t kill me, don’t kill me..."

Gao Yi aimed at the shouting black man and fired two shots, whereas Lin Xianghua targeted the sofa. The black man randomly firing over the top of the sofa had bullets likely directed at their general position, but after Lin Xianghua fired seven or eight shots through the sofa, the handgun mounted on the sofa jammed.

Seven people in the living room, all downed.

Lin Xianghua softly said, "Reload!"

His movements were swift; his left hand pulled the magazine, his right hand pressed the release button. In the span of speaking, Lin Xianghua had already finished reloading.

Not emptying the first magazine, one bullet was still chambered; there was no need to clear the chamber, so Lin Xianghua’s reload was seamless.

Then Lin Xianghua ran towards the stairs.

The house consisted of three floors, two for living, the third an attic. The house wasn’t exactly luxurious, but living here was the safest for Trash Dog, so the second floor surely still had people.

Intelligence indicated Trash Dog’s music room and bedroom were on the second floor.

Lin Xianghua didn’t rush upwards; he first went to the wall and pressed a row of switches, plunging the living room on the first floor into darkness, then hit the television next to him with the butt of the gun, turning off the TV as well after it went black. Only then did he start taking small steps towards the stairs.

Whether it worked or not, Gao Yi now knew Lin Xianghua was good at this kind of breach-and-clear turmoil. He must have had plenty of such chaotic combat experience.

The staircase was narrow, and Lin Xianghua led the way, aiming his gun upward as he slowly ascended.

The initial entry was a surprise attack, but now, it was all about a forceful upward assault.

Lin Xianghua felt some tension but was not afraid. Facing these gangsters who lacked any tactical training, had no military experience, and were merely rash enough to shoot someone, he was quite confident.

Warfare and street shootouts were completely different concepts.

"He’s coming up, coming up!"

Someone above desperately shouted, then a black man bravely popped his head out and fired directly at Lin Xianghua without seeing him first, firing while simultaneously seeking his target.

Such action could work during a firefight; relying on that boldness might even intimidate the opponent because a normal person instinctively ducks and runs when shot at.

But Lin Xianghua didn’t flinch; when he could only see the attacker’s arm, he didn’t fire. When the gunman exposed half of his body, Lin Xianghua then pulled the trigger.

A scream ensued, and the brave black man who fired downwards fell backward while Lin Xianghua, who had been steadily ascending, suddenly sped up his pace and began running upwards.

The stairs were too narrow, Gao Yi had no choice but to follow behind, but as soon as Lin Xianghua charged, he immediately followed Lin Xianghua’s steps and began to run upwards.

The problem arose during this run.

In the night vision device, he could see a clear, greenish glow, but now the field of view was very small. As soon as he started running, the scenes in front of his eyes shook, and Gao Yi immediately felt a little dizzy.

So, using a night vision device could also cause dizziness.

Gao Yi used the back of his hand to lift the lens of the night vision device, then he took two steps at a time, following Lin Xianghua up to the second floor.

Lin Xianghua raised his gun and shot, two black men fell to the ground, one screamed, the other made no sound.

Lin Xianghua shot the screaming black man again, and as he turned around to search for more targets, he saw Gao Yi rush out, kicking down the black man who was half-sticking out the window.

A glance confirmed it wasn’t Trash Dog, Gao Yi casually hammered down.

Twisting his body, he saw a shadow moving inside the room next to the open door and immediately charged towards it.

This time, Lin Xianghua could only follow behind Gao Yi.

In a not very large room, a thin black man with dirty dreadlocks held a gun, and two women beside him just screamed. Gao Yi dodged, and the armed black man fired twice at the doorway.

Trash Dog, no mistake, it was him.

Gao Yi dodged again, flashed at the doorway, and two more shots were fired.

Lin Xianghua raised his gun to advance, Gao Yi whispered, "We need him alive."

Lin Xianghua suddenly crouched and, running, fired two shots sideways into the room while Trash Dog fired four or five shots chasing Lin Xianghua.

Lin Xianghua stood behind Gao Yi, then he nodded his head again and moved towards the door.

What did he mean?

What did Lin Xianghua’s nod mean?

There was no synergy, Gao Yi didn’t understand.

But seeing Lin Xianghua rush out again, Gao Yi instinctively followed. Sure enough, as Lin Xianghua flashed past the doorway, Trash Dog fired two shots at him. As his gun moved to follow, Gao Yi suddenly flashed into the doorway, forcing Trash Dog to shift his gun to aim at Gao Yi to pose a threat.

The room was not big to begin with, and with a bed placed inside, Trash Dog hid behind the bed and shot, with the bed posing as an extra barrier.

However, Gao Yi didn’t care about such obstacles; he jumped onto the bed, dived, and swung his hammer from above, hitting Trash Dog’s hand.

The pistol flew out of Trash Dog’s hand. Gao Yi jumped to the ground, swinging the hammer behind him with his right hand, while his left-hand placed the gun directly on Trash Dog’s forehead.

"Don’t move."

Unexpectedly, Trash Dog was truly audacious. His face filled with anger, he suddenly reached to grab Gao Yi’s gun, shouting, "Fuck you..."

Gao Yi immediately hammered down, striking Trash Dog on the shoulder.

Trash Dog’s left shoulder collapsed immediately, followed by a piercing scream.

Gao Yi sighed. Lin Xianghua turned and raised his gun toward the doorway, whispering, "Target captured, the room is not fully cleared, those entering be careful, over."

As Lin Xianghua spoke, Luca approached with a phone in hand. He looked at Lin Xianghua, then at Gao Yi, and muttered under his breath, "This is no assassin..."

Luca spoke just that sentence, then he entered the room, came up to Gao Yi, and indicated that it was okay to start recording.

Gao Yi didn’t allow Luca to record. He stepped on Trash Dog and said to the still screaming, pain-stricken Trash Dog, "Walter paid me to smash your head."

Trash Dog really was tough, he stopped screaming and fiercely said, "Fuck you! Fuck!"

Gao Yi continued, "Save the cursing, do you want to pay me more to take down Walter?"

Trash Dog suddenly stopped all sounds; he stared shocked at Gao Yi and said, "What?"

"You’re definitely going to die, but are you willing to take down Walter after you die? I know you definitely have a lot of cash, but we don’t have time to search slowly, so the police will seize all the money here. Instead, tell me where the money is hidden, and I’ll take down Walter for you. We assassins honor our commitments. I’ll give you three seconds to think about it, one, two..."

"I’ll tell!"

Trash Dog bellowed, then gritted his teeth and said, "The money is in the safe, the safe is in the recording studio, the code is 12345678, gold and diamonds are in that locker, will you really kill that son of a bitch Walter?"

Gao Yi nodded, "I promise."

He nodded at Luca, who moved forward to start recording. Gao Yi stepped aside to avoid being filmed, and then smashed down with the hammer.

Luca pressed the stop button, signaling to Gao Yi, who then said, "Job done, come upstairs for the money, oh, over."
