Chapter 147: Japan. (2/2)

After visiting the place, Yaho took Lukas to the side and fed him something delicious, it was sweet and is called mochi.

Lukas found it very tasty, and then Yaho told the driver to bring the car for Lukas. She wanted to take Lukas somewhere else. Lukas nodded his head in agreement, as he doesn’t have much interest in Japanese shogunates, but if they gifted him this palace, that would be another matter because which man doesn’t want to own a castle?

Yaho took Lukas by the moat. It was a very beautiful place. Lukas loved how artistic the medieval people were.

After that, the car arrived on the nearby road to pick up Lukas and Yaho. Yaho told the driver something in Japanese, he just nodded his head.

"We can go and drink tea now, normal healthy ones in the Hama-Rikyū Gardens."

Yahoo said, and then she took him to a river, and there was also a grand boat waiting for him there. There were waitresses with a smile standing in a line and looking very welcoming.

Yaho took Lukas to the boat. It was a small, almost yacht-style boat but very open. Lukas and Yaho sat at the table to drink some tea while traveling through the river.

The river was beautiful, and the day was very sunny. Lukas looked around and saw people were walking on the side bank of the river, there were bigger cruises as well for tourists.

Lukas was given a cup of tea, it was made by the waitresses, who were wearing traditional clothes and using some kind of brush to make the tea.

Lukas, as an American, tried to appreciate the culture of other people, but he felt like this tea was nothing but bitter warm water.

Yahoo, on the other hand, was really enjoying the tea, she was smiling and closing her eyes after each small gulp. She was maybe just missing some classical music in the background.

Lukas just enjoyed his river visit, he liked the tranquil atmosphere around it. Nobody was playing music loudly, and people were not that rude here.

After visiting the river, Yaho looked refreshed, and she took him by foot. She was walking ahead, and Lukas was just beside her and was following her. She looked content after drinking that tea.

"That tea might be nice, right?"

Lukas asked, he was getting bored alone. He was, although not a big talker, but Yaho was even worse, she was just a nodding person.

"Yes, that was an Uji matcha. You didn’t feel the difference?"

Yahoo asked and looked at Lukas with confusion on her face, she was very certain this tea was too good to be missed.

Lukas looked like he just bit the bullet, so he smiled a second later and said, "Of course, it was very good."

Except there was no sugar or milk in the tea, it was plain-ass bitter.

"I know. How about the mochi? It was a Sakura Mochi, very special"

Yaho said she was holding a black umbrella in her hand now as the sun was straight up from them.

"Mochi is good, no matter which one it is."

Lukas instantly agreed on Mochi because that was the thing that saved him from drowning in the tea’s bitterness.

"I like the tea better."

Yahoo, she said with a smile. Lukas was certain he had never seen her smile till now, but tea makes her happy.

"See that? That’s the Tsukiji Outer Market. There we can get sushi. You like sushi, right?"

Yaho asked, she was confirmed that Lukas didn’t like the tea, so she just asked to make sure he likes sushi at least.

"Y..yeah, I like sushi, sure."

Lukas said he also doesn’t like the sushi that much, but he can’t just say that in her face.

"What do you like most?"

Yahoo suddenly asked, she was not sure where she would take Lukas for lunch.

"Ramen? I would love to eat some ramen here"

Lukas instantly answered that, as a Naruto fan in his last life, he was craving a nice and authentic ramen. He was certain that although Naruto was not yet a thing in anime circles, ramen was sure to be there.

"Ramen? Heh, okay"

Yahoo said she was shocked but nevertheless agreed and was also relieved about his lunch.

Yaho and Lukas then walked into the Tsukiji Outer Market. It was a very populated place, but people were not taking up your private space. Lukas felt nice even in this busy place, people were minding their own business.

Lukas and Yaho walked around the market. Lukas saw many different dishes but was not that interested in them until he saw something very tasty. It was noodles that were stir-fried and called yakisoba.

"You spent all this time looking around and only chose this to eat, you’re a strange man, Lukas."

Yaho commented she was not allowed to eat anything if the client from her company was not eating, and she saw many delicious dishes in the market, but Lukas wanted the most common thing around.

Lukas just shrugged his shoulders. He was not Japanese, so even a common item looked different to him.

After having some yakisoba, they walked deep inside and took Lukas to eat some good and traditional sushi.

They stopped in front of a sushi bar that had a huge line. Lukas tried to see the end of the line, and even with his height, he couldn’t see the end of it.

"No worries, this is the bar of our agency, and you’re a VIP here. No line for you."

Yaho said she was confident all of a sudden, then took Lukas to the bar and directly to the back of the cart. The chef was busy, but seeing Yaho, he bowed deeply two or three times. She smiled and talked with him for some time and grabbed a tool for Lukas.

Then Lukas was given a plate that had a beautiful sushi in it, it was supposed to be the best in the store.

"Ōtoro Nigiri, it will melt in your mouth."

Yaho said, and then she fed some more sushi variants to him. Lukas was overwhelmed, but the authentic thing was very different, he understood that. He had also eaten sushi in America, and it did not taste like this at all.

After eating, she took him to the car. She was smiling after eating more sushi than Lukas, and Lukas understood how much of a foodie she was. She gobbled up twenty or so sushi, and when he said to stop, she was unsatisfied and kind of angry at Lukas.

Lukas was feeling pressure from this skinny foodie, he was not sure if she would just bring him to eat something again. He was wondering how she was not fat like Coach.

To his surprise, she took him back to the hotel. She opened the door for him, and Lukas nodded his head and walked to the hotel.

"The money exchanger is here, he is waiting outside your suite, sir."

Yaho said formally she was not looking that happy, and Lukas felt like something was off.

Lukas, nodding his head, went to his suite. In the lobby of the floor, a man was seated with a huge briefcase. He was wearing a black suit, and as soon as he saw Lukas, he stood up in a hurry and bowed deeply, deeper than anyone Lukas had seen thus far.

Lukas had to walk faster to make that man get up. He smiled and gave Lukas his business card first while bowing deeply once again.

Lukas, taking his card, entered the suite with the suited man and Yaho. She was almost quiet, and her usual temperament was nowhere to be seen.

Lukas sat on the couch, then Yaho tried to sit in the opposite direction but was glared at by the man in the suit.

"Please sit down, Mr. Nakamura Ichigo."

Lukas gestured to him to sit down, and then he sat, but Yaho remained standing. Lukas wanted to say, "Sit down" to her as well, but she just shook her head slowly as if to say, "No, don’t say it."

Lukas then focused on the man. In front of him, he pulled out some papers and showed them to Lukas. There was an English name there, Henry, otherwise, he didn’t understand anything at all.

"Sir, I am glad to meet you once again. Coach Henry is my dear friend. Such a player as you coming here makes me very happy. I will not charge a bit to convert your money for you, and we also provided a person with the best English in our agency for you. She spent her whole life in the US, so she might be lacking, but you can always ask to change her. We can manage more traditional women for you."

Ichigo said in his fluent English, he was smiling, Lukas looked at Yaho with surprise—no wonder she was so sassy. Japanese are very mannerly people, and women are into more mannerism than men, but Yaho was quite sassy and chill.

"Neh, she’s fine, she is a nice talker."

Lukas said Yahoo was also surprised, knowing Lukas was a player, their agency mainly deals with VIP baseball players in the whole world, and this kind of changes everything. Her company will, from now on, try to serve Lukas with all their might wheneverLukas visits.

"Thank you, Mr. Ichigo, Can I give you a Chase bank check?"

Lukas asked, He has tons of cash, but a check is easier.
