Chapter 247: Chapter 235: Waves Part One
Bang!
Ouyang Dong suddenly threw a kick over.
Lin Fei lightly stepped aside.
The kick landed directly on the wall, leaving a black footprint amidst the white.
Ouyang Dong withdrew his foot and threw another punch toward Lin Fei’s abdomen.
Bang!!
Ouyang Dong grunted and violently hit the wall behind him. His face turned pale, and for a moment, he seemed to have lost his breath.
Lin Fei slowly straightened up, withdrawing his right hand.
Looking at Ouyang Dong slumped against the wall, he walked over, crouched down, gently grabbed his collar, and shook it.
"That’s it?" Lin Fei suddenly felt a bit disinterested, even though he only used the strength of an ordinary person which for most people was already far beyond their imagination of combat power. It was a fundamental difference in awareness. Although his punch had robbed Ouyang Dong of his fighting ability, this cautious application of force, as if he were handling porcelain, made him feel truly uncomfortable. He was deeply afraid that if he did not control his strength properly and used just a bit more force, he would shatter Ouyang Dong and disable him. After all, it was just a small quarrel; there was no need to get so serious.
At this time, a group of boys from the class noticed something was wrong down the corridor and slowly started to gather around.
"It’s Ouyang Dong and Lin Fei."
"What happened?"
"Aren’t they in the same dormitory? How did they start fighting?"
"It must be some conflict in the dormitory, I guess."
A bunch of people whispered among themselves on the sidelines. None of them came forward to mediate, after all, everyone was a new student and hadn’t been in contact for long, so their relationships weren’t deep.
Du Xiaosheng, Shi Ran, and Fan Weidong also squeezed through the crowd. Seeing Lin Fei holding Ouyang Dong by the collar, they knew something was wrong and hurried over to pull Lin Fei away, trying to mediate.
"Forget it, forget it, you’re all from the same dorm. There’s no need to make such a scene," Du Xiaosheng said, pulling Lin Fei back while the other two helped Ouyang Dong, who could barely support himself against the wall.
"Yeah, you’re all from the same dorm. Why make things so stiff!?" Shi Ran frowned and said. He and Fan Weidong each helped Ouyang Dong up from one side.
"How are you doing? Ouyang, are you alright?"
Ouyang Dong shook his head, still seeming a bit groggy.
Lin Fei looked innocent.
"You all saw just now, Ouyang called me out by name, looking for trouble with me. I didn’t provoke him. It’s clear to everyone that he was the first to strike," Lin Fei said.
A boy nearby nodded and said, "It’s true; Ouyang was the first to make a move. Lin Fei only fought back, and who would have thought that with just one punch, he’d go down."
"Too weak." A boy beside couldn’t help but chuckle.
"Who else can he blame? He went to trouble someone so much stronger," another boy muttered quietly.
These words burned in Ouyang Dong’s heart, infuriating him to no end.
"Should we go to the infirmary?" Fan Weidong asked softly.
Shi Ran glanced at Lin Fei and quickly asked the shaky Ouyang Dong, "Ouyang, are you feeling uncomfortable anywhere? Do you want to go to the infirmary?"
However, the latter completely ignored his question, his eyes fixed firmly on Lin Fei.
Lin Fei smiled. Such fights and show of fierceness were something he often experienced in his previous life at university. Now that he saw this scene, he felt increasingly like he was still just an ordinary college student, but this feeling was fleeting. After all, he was now far beyond the Lin Fei of his previous life.
Coming to his senses, he saw Ouyang Dong staring at him.
"What? Not convinced?" Lin Fei took a step forward and pulled his hand out of Du Xiaosheng’s grasp.
Fan Weidong was about to intervene, but Shi Ran tugged at his sleeve slightly.
"Don’t act tough without the capital," Lin Fei gently patted Ouyang’s face.
"You just wait," Ouyang Dong growled with eyes red.
"Okay, okay, both of you just stop," Shi Ran urged from the side.
"Heh," Lin Fei chuckled and walked toward his dormitory, leaving behind a noisy wake.
Du Xiaosheng followed Lin Fei towards the dorm. Glancing back at the crowd surrounding Ouyang, he whispered to Lin Fei,
"Be careful, Lin Fei. Ouyang’s family has some background."
"Thanks for the heads up," Lin Fei nodded. "Don’t get involved in this matter."
"Actually, Shi Ran and I don’t like that guy either, but since we’re all from the same dorm, we shouldn’t get too stiff with each other. Now that you’ve beaten him once, he’ll probably behave a lot better," Du Xiaosheng whispered.
"Perhaps," Lin Fei said nonchalantly.
To Lin Fei, this was merely a minor incident in his life; Ouyang Dong, a minor character, was not worthy of his attention. He had once memorized all the information about major domestic families, and there was no Ouyang surname in his memory at all. Since it wasn’t a large family, there was nothing to worry about.
Picking up his phone, he recalled a phone number he had memorized before. Now was a good opportunity to get in touch; in Kyoto City, after all, he had no real foothold.
"I’m going out to make a call. Are we having a class meeting tonight?" Lin Fei asked.
"Yeah, Cheng Nianwei, the head of our class, is now the one calling the shots. If she says we’re going, we can’t exactly say no, can we? Might as well just enjoy the view," Du Xiaosheng said with a smile.
Lin Fei nodded and left the dormitory. She walked out of the building and found a secluded spot on the lawn behind it. She took out her cell phone and dialed a series of numbers.
After several rings, a soft and sinister male voice came from the other end of the phone.
"Hello? Who is this?"
"Dong Yaofei, it’s me. Do you still have that black card I gave you?"
"It’s you!! Ms. Lin Fei! Of course, I’ve kept it!" Dong Yaofei was clearly very excited. "I don’t know what happened before, but I couldn’t get through to your phone at all."
"My phone broke, and the SIM card was also destroyed, so I replaced them," Lin Fei said, standing under the shade of trees on the edge of the lawn. The sunlight divided the inside and outside of the shade into two distinct parts. In the gaps between dormitory buildings, there were also a few guys like Lin Fei making calls.
"Long time no see, let’s meet up when you have time," Dong Yaofei said eagerly.
"Sure," Lin Fei agreed. Her understanding of the Dong Family, just from the information recorded, was enough to show that the Dong Family belonged to one of the great families with national clout, with strong influence in politics, business, and the military.
"I heard you’ve enrolled at Yan Capital University. When you came to the Capital City, you should have let me know. I could’ve hosted a welcome dinner for you."
"I didn’t want to trouble you," Lin Fei said with a smile.
"Not at all."
Inside an upmarket residential complex in Kyoto City, guarded by strict security.
A handsome man with short ponytail, wearing a white bath towel, was leaning on the sofa with a mobile phone to his ear.
"It’s no trouble at all," he said while dialing a series of numbers on the landline on the coffee table in front of him.
"Let’s set the place at Yunlong Restaurant, how about tomorrow? Should I come to pick you up? Alright then, should I send a car instead? Okay, okay, see you then." With a click, the call on the other end was disconnected.
The handsome man finally ended the call on his cell phone and let out a sigh of relief. Truth be told, his impression of Lin Fei was still stuck on that night in Ping City, that bloody image of someone who could kill without blinking and could strike to kill anytime, anywhere. Subconsciously, he was indeed a bit afraid of Lin Fei.
Right then, the landline connected to the call on the other end.
"Hello. Is this Sister Dong?" a frivolous male voice came through the phone.
"You little brat, you think I can’t touch you just because you’re out of town?" Dong Yaofei chided with a mix of smile and rebuke. "How’s the thing I asked you to check into?"
"I had Xu Zi handle it. Sister Dong, you can just ask him directly. He’s the one I brought to meet you last time, his dad is Xu Dongyu, the mayor of Fengyang City in Xining Province. It should be within your range of interest," the frivolous man said.
"The Xu Family? I don’t really recall," Dong Yaofei said, puzzled.
"Your birthday party last year, his old man even brought him over once. Don’t you remember?" the guy on the other end said in disbelief.
"Remember my ass, there were too many people, how could I remember him," Dong Yaofei said impatiently. "I’d finally gotten a breather recently, but then..."
Suddenly, a crisp melody resembling flowing water sounded—it was the special doorbell music, selected mainly because it was very much to Dong Yaofei’s taste.
"Forget it, someone’s here. You pass the task to someone else, and now you’re responsible for seeing it through for me. I’ve got visitors, gotta hang up."
"But Sister Dong..." The person on the other end hadn’t finished speaking when Dong Yaofei abruptly hung up.
The maid had just gone to open the door.
Dong Yaofei picked up the cigarette and lighter from the coffee table, lit one, and casually threw the lighter back onto the table.
A slightly overweight young man walked in from the doorway.
"Brother Dong."
"Feifei, huh," Dong Yaofei pointed to the sofa across from him. "Sit down. Any big news from my friend over there lately?"
Feifei carefully took a seat, eager to report.
"Brother Dong, speaking of big news, about ten minutes ago, your friend Lin Fei got into a scrap with that kid Ouyang from the same dorm."
"Ouyang kid? Who’s that? Wasn’t he trashed?" Dong Yaofei asked curiously. In his view, anyone daring to fight Lin Fei was courting death!
"No, he’s from the seaside area and seems to have some family connections; he’s pretty arrogant. Liu Bin just gave me the info. I don’t know much about it," Feifei said with an accompanying smile.
"What’s happening now?" Dong Yaofei casually asked while taking a drag off his cigarette. "Don’t tell me you just came over like this."
"No! How could I dare, hehe," Feifei replied cautiously, "I had Liu Bin handle it. He knows that Ouyang guy."
"Well done. You handle things smoothly," Dong Yaofei complimented, "It’s not our style to let friends suffer losses on our turf." He had been looking everywhere for an opportunity to get on good terms with Lin Fei.
Not long ago, a princeling in the Capital had been suddenly crippled, and his superiors had to watch helplessly as the enemy flaunted impunity. It was a stark reminder that strength was the real king.

Yan Capital University
Shi Ran returned to the dormitory from the medical office, just in time to see Du Xiaosheng sitting on a chair, engrossed in a novel. The afternoon sunlight poured in from the window, warming the entire dormitory.
However, there was no sign of Lin Fei in the whole dormitory.
"Where’s Lin Fei?"
"Said he was going out to make a call and hasn’t come back," Du Xiaosheng replied offhandedly. "Is Ouyang Dong’s situation serious?"(To be continued.
