Chapter 172: Chapter 166: Ambush Part 2

After about half an hour, everyone arrived one after another.

The bald man’s group, the man with the small mustache who had been chatting and laughing with the bald man and others, stood up and looked around the room. The voices of everyone suddenly quieted down.

"Since everyone is here, let’s get started."

A man from the women’s group also stood up, "Third Brother, our eldest brother has already boarded the flight to Jiangnan City. If possible, I hope we can act directly at the airport. We can’t let them join forces with the Shi Family. After all, the Shi Family represents the family power of Hua Nation, and our identities could easily lead to disputes and turmoil."

"In fact, the eldest brother must also be aware of our situation, so when and where doesn’t matter, given his character, he is always fully prepared. This is an open strategy; he is waiting for us to make a move, and we have no choice but to confront him. Now it’s a matter of which side has stronger power," the man with the small mustache said loudly.

"Then let’s just take action and not waste time," the man playing with his cell phone said aloud.

"Luo Shiran, you make it sound so easy. If you’re so capable, you go first!" the woman who was previously on her phone put away her phone and stood up abruptly.

"Let’s each take responsibility for assigning tasks," the man known as Luo Shiran said casually, "We will take care of the main force of the Shi Family. All aspects have been coordinated well; the Shi Family is not well-liked within Hua Nation. After it’s done, come over quickly to support you guys."

After whispering a few words to the bald man, the man with the small mustache nodded as well.

"The rest will be handled by everyone else."

The woman in the trench coat nodded, "No problem on my end. Everyone, act fast to finish this quickly and avoid trouble."

As they started discussing, they completely ignored An Caiyuan and the other group beside her, as if these two groups didn’t exist.

"So it’s settled. An Caiyuan’s group will take care of the escaped fish of the Shi Family," the man with the small mustache added, "No problem, right?"

An Caiyuan and a man beside her with sunken eyes stood up together.

"I have no problem."

"Me neither."

"Then, let’s move on to the matter concerning Hua Nation’s domestic issues. As long as it does not involve fundamental interests, Shueisha will at most issue a stern declaration. The key question is, how to coordinate over there? If we make a big move, it could very well cause trouble," a man in black clothing, who was sitting next to Luo Shiran, stood up with a sullen expression and said.

"Try not to involve ordinary people, contain the battle within certain limits, and I suppose our eldest brother will also cooperate in this regard. The Temple of the Gods, after all, belongs to a neutral camp; they can’t blatantly favor Hua Nation. So as long as we control the situation well, there won’t be any problem," the man next to the woman in purple, Violet, said.

"So, let’s head to the airport now. There’s a long distance from the airport to the city, plenty of space," the man with the small mustache finalized the plan.

The whole operational meeting was very hasty, as everyone knew that no matter the discussion, the final outcome would be to act independently.

Lin Fei noticed a key issue; during their conversation, it seemed they weren’t very wary of Shueisha, but they were quite afraid of the Temple of the Gods, as if the Temple might favor Hua Nation. He looked towards An Caiyuan. She shook her head, indicating that she was also unclear.

"It must be someone high up in the Temple of the Gods who is particularly protective of Hua Nation." All along, he had felt that Shueisha’s actual status in the international arena was very low. Yet, he hadn’t seen any major force invade and occupy Hua Nation. Presumably, this was why.

The martial artists were declining, state organizations were weak, and the supernatural aspects were almost monopolized by the Temple of the Gods and heretics. The whole Hua Nation seemed to be surviving only through the slight favor of powerful individuals overhead, struggling forward under their protection. He guessed that it was out of sheer necessity that the focus was on reviving the martial artists’ path, thus they valued geniuses with incredible martial talent so highly.

After the assignments were distributed, the group led by the man with the Green Demon hand was the first to leave the hotel, followed by the man with the small mustache and the bald one, Jason, and then Violet’s group, with An Caiyuan and her group leaving last.

Outside the hotel, guards tasked with keeping outsiders out were stationed within ten meters all around. This probably explained why they had been speaking so loudly without any concern earlier.

Lin Fei and his group walked at the very end. They were only responsible for preventing escapes, and no one placed their hopes on them. After all, if one only looked at the surface, the strongest among these people were merely D-rank, and there were only four D-ranks at that, hardly worth mentioning.

"They must be heading straight for the airport, planning to resolve the battle near the airport," An Caiyuan said from behind Lin Fei.

"I’ll listen to Sister Caiyuan’s arrangements," An Dongyong said carelessly with his hands clasped behind his head.

However, An Caiyuan was looking at Lin Fei. On the battlefield in Korea, she had been completely defeated by Lin Fei. She knew the terror of this man better than anyone else.

"No rush," Lin Feipeng said calmly.

Pinnan Airport

One of the two major airports in Jiangnan City, located in the highland area about 25 kilometers from the city center.

Similarly, compared to the other Pinnorth Airport, Pinnan Airport had significantly less passenger traffic due to its relatively remote distance.

On a large grassy slope near the airport, a tall man with tea-colored sunglasses stood, seemingly unaffected by the scorching sunlight. Around him stood six or seven sparsely spaced people.

"Let’s do it here. Kailin, thank you in advance," the man said with a smile to a brown-haired, blue-eyed woman next to him.

The brown-haired woman tossed her hair and shook it out with her hand. "Such a large range, I wouldn’t have come if it weren’t for the doubled commission."

"No choice, it’s what my family wants," the man said with resignation. "Besides, your Daylight Shadow is in charge of this kind of work, right? Professional matters should naturally be handled by professionals."

The brown-haired woman waved her hand dismissively, "Okay, okay, I’ll put up a synchronous Barrier then, one that can simulate the original scenery here."

"They are coming."

The man suddenly became calm.

Not far away, on the freeway, a series of silver sedans drove toward them in a line. Through the window of the foremost car, one could clearly see a black-haired young man in the passenger seat, lighting a cigarette with a metal lighter.

The man took off his tea-colored sunglasses and pulled out a walkie-talkie. "Boss, they’ve arrived. The Green Demon hand is with them."

From the walkie-talkie, after a couple of crackles, a deep voice emerged.

"I’ll be there shortly."

Jiangnan City, Qingyuan Villa District.

At the entrance of the district, a red Hyundai was parked opposite the Hua Nation Commercial Bank. Standing beside the car was a middle-aged man of average build, with lifeless eyes and a ponytail that reached his shoulders. This man was Lin Fei in disguise.

The area belonged to the standard wealthy district of Jiangnan City, with hardly a grocery store in sight. Most of the shops were tobacco and liquor stores, followed by a medium-sized supermarket right next to the commercial bank.

An Caiyuan and An Dongyong were sitting in the car, while Lin Fei preferred not to stay in the vehicle.

Their target was Shi Qingwen, an important member of the Shi family who lived in this community. Shi Qingwen was considered the strongest among those scattered outside and other minor roles could be taken care of by subordinates. They only needed to take down the tough ones.

"Have all our people taken their positions?" Lin Fei asked softly.

Inside the car, An Caiyuan confirmed the positions quietly through the walkie-talkie and after a moment, she looked up, "Everyone is in place. We can start anytime."

"I’ll just stay in the car, in charge of the peripheral guard duty, since my abilities are mainly passive," An Dongyong shrugged.

"As you wish," Lin Fei replied indifferently.

****************

Inside a villa in the residential community.

Within the spacious hall.

Qin Yi and her twin daughters sat on the sofa, with Shi Yinsong and Shi Qingwen, two middle-aged men, sitting opposite them. Black-clothed subordinates stood at intervals around them, making the guard appear strict.

The brothers from the Shi family looked indifferent.

On the other hand, the twin girls clung to each other, shrinking into a corner of the sofa, full of unease.

"How about it, Qin Yi? Isn’t the Qinhuai Group of the Qin Family worth less than your two cute and obedient daughters?" Shi Yinsong said indifferently. "Previously at the airport, when I came to pick you up, you refused to give me face and insisted that I have you brought here by force. Don’t you know my heart after all these years?"

"Qin Yi, for all these years, Brother Yinsong has always liked you. He was even against laying hands on you at first," said Shi Qingwen with a smile. "If it were anyone else daring to resist the Shi Family in Jiangnan City, heh heh."

The middle-aged woman bowed her head, biting her lips, silent.

Shi Qingwen stood up, walked over to the twins, and looked them up and down.

"If I marry your daughters while my brother marries you, wouldn’t that be perfect?"

Qin Yi suddenly looked up, her face turning pale.

"What are you going to do!! They are only fourteen!!"

The two girls huddled together, one embracing the other, both trembling.

Shi Qingwen chuckled, "I’m not as foolish as my brother, not knowing how to enjoy such a good resource. Look, aren’t these two little things adorable?"

Qin Yi’s face turned pale, and she turned to look at Shi Yinsong.

"Shi Yinsong!"

The latter’s expression remained calm.

"They’re just the bastards of that Han Yanjun kid, do whatever you want with them," he said matter-of-factly.

Shi Qingwen burst into laughter, moving closer to the twins.

Qin Yi lunged forward, standing in front of her daughters. She pushed Shi Qingwen hard but he didn’t budge.

"Qin Yi, the patience of the Shi Family is limited. Sign the transfer contract and let’s not make a fuss, saving everyone the heartache," Shi Yinsong said softly, leaning back on the sofa. "I once loved you so much, but you didn’t cherish it. Now my feelings for you are no longer what they were, but this is a knot in my heart."

"Why are you talking to her? She won’t understand anyway," Shi Qingwen said, pushing Qin Yi aside. "Someone, hold her down!"

The guards immediately came over and held Qin Yi firmly in place.

"Shi Yinsong! Are you still human! They are only fourteen!!" Qin Yi screamed frantically, struggling in vain against the two strong men’s grip.

"Xiao Yao! Xiao Lu! Run!"

Shi Qingwen blocked the girls with a grimace, reaching out to grab their chests. The twins clung tightly to each other, their faces deathly pale.

Bang!! The door was violently kicked in.

A middle-aged man with a stiff expression strode into the hall, his hair tied in a ponytail, carrying a black longsword.

"What about the civilians?" a cold female voice asked as she walked into the room beside him.

"What are you doing!" Shi Qingwen exclaimed in shock, barking loudly, "Don’t you know this is the Shi Family’s villa?!"

Lin Fei took out a communication walkie-talkie.

"No Shi family member is to be spared."

"Ok!" a male voice responded cheerfully from the walkie-talkie. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for recommendation tickets and monthly tickets at Qidian.com. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
