Chapter 739: The Golden Spirit Bees of the Nether Abyss

The displeasure on Bai Zi's face was evident for all to see. It seemed Long Di's continued absence was becoming increasingly unacceptable to her.

She had already gone all out. Unfortunately, Ah Ta's divine technique had disrupted her Soul Burial Chasm.

Numerous Outer Gods and warships were still descending from above, and the battle below was just beginning. In her eyes, it was about time for Long Di to come out and act, but the leader of the Nether Gods never emerged as she had hoped.

A golden Spirit Bee... Pang Jian, hovering in the sky, studied the golden bee with his divine sense.

The golden Nether Abyss Spirit Bee beneath Bai Zi's feet stared directly at him as if noticing his probing. A golden light shot from its compound eyes and pierced straight into his sea of consciousness.

Both the Spirit Bee and Pang Jian froze in place.

Whenever this golden bee locked its gaze on an Outer God, that Outer God's divine soul was usually torn apart and drawn into the Soul Burial Chasm.

Pang Jian sensed the razor-sharp intensity of the golden light bearing down on him and silently prepared to respond with his full strength, only for the golden light to withdraw its sharpness.

The Spirit Bee's unexpected restraint caused him to freeze in shock.

Meanwhile, the Spirit Bee had frozen because it had felt something warm and familiar deep within Pang Jian's sea of consciousness. It was like its long-lost homeland, like the warmth of a beehive.

The beehive it was born to had long since fallen into silence and ruin. Nearly all the golden Nether Abyss Soul Bees had perished, and the few that remained were scattered far away, rarely appearing in the Nether Abyss.

Had the Nether Abyss not come under invasion, Bai Zi would never have brought it back to the Nether Abyss to take part in the battle.

It had not expected to sense the warmth of a beehive in another being, to feel such a comforting, familiar aura.

Family... The thought rose unbidden in the golden Nether Abyss Spirit Bee's mind.

You're not alone. There are tens of thousands like you in the Abyss. Among them, a Bee Sovereign is undergoing rapid growth, though for now, it has yet to surpass you in strength. Pang Jian's voice echoed gently within the golden bee's mind.

The Spirit Bee clearly understood what Pang Jian had said. A soft light flickered in its golden compound eyes. It seemed genuinely happy.

"Lord Long Di!"

"Leader!

Cries rang out from across the continents at the bottom of the Nether Abyss.

Low-ranking Outer Gods and World Gods from other abysses commanded all manner of uniquely crafted warships. Some plunged straight into the deep sea, charging toward crystalline palaces hidden beneath the waves.

The lower layer of the Nether Abyss erupted into chaos!

Fierce warriors of the Nether Race stormed out in a rage. They emerged from forests, ancient cities, and sacred grounds shrouded in misty spiritual qi, clad in ornate armor and wielding deadly weapons.

The battlefield shifted to the lower depths of the Nether Abyss.

Warriors of the Nether Race fought as one, engaging in fierce battles against the foreign race warriors.

Nether Gods emerged from across the continents.

The Nether Race, long feared and revered throughout the abysses, showed no fear in the face of impending annihilation. Each warrior fought with fearless ferocity, unyielding even in death. They called Long Di's name as they unleashed soul-shaking divine techniques and secret arts.

Long Di was not just their leader. He was their spiritual pillar, and they firmly believed that they would emerge victorious in this war against the invading foreign races.

High above the battlefield, Pang Jian's mind rang with a sharp hum as his connection with the golden bee was abruptly severed. He looked up just in time to see Bai Zi and the golden bee ascending rapidly into the sky.

At the same time, he sensed the waves of divine consciousness from the Nether Abyss powerhouses linked together, forming a sea invisible to the naked eye.

This sea, formed from the soul essence of the Nether Race powerhouses, hovered above the vast ocean at the bottom of the Nether Abyss.

A tremendous pull rose from this invisible sea, drawing in kindred souls. It also tugged at Pang Jian's divine sense, attempting to absorb and assimilate him into its depths.

Unlike the Soul Burial Chasm, this sea only welcomed compatible divine souls and divine consciousness—those belonging to the Nether Race's elite.

There was no malice within it. Its reach was limited to the soul essence of the same origin. Its purpose was simply to gather more usable strength.

So my divine soul really is related to the Nether Abyss... Pang Jian quietly drifted upward, putting some distance between himself and the mysterious sea that Hai Wei had yet to notice. His focus turned to the changes occurring on the continent where Long Di resided.

Fortune continued to rise not only from the continent where Long Di resided but also from other continents across the bottom of the Nether Abyss. Each cluster of crystalline radiance vanished into the mysterious chasm that led directly into the center of Long Fi's continent.

That dark, yawning pit seemed to be where Long Di was hiding.

So many Gods in the Nether Abyss... Pang Jian was stunned, his expression pale with shock.

More than twenty clusters of Fortune had already been released in this short span of time. They floated up from the bodies of the Nether Gods, only for that chasm to swallow them.

There were still plenty of Nether gods locked in combat with the invading Outer Gods. Dozens more clusters of Fortune could yet be drawn out.

The Nether Race had far greater numbers than the human race, and the Nether Abyss, also vastly larger than the Abyss itself, had clearly produced an overwhelming abundance of Fortune.

What is Long Di trying to achieve by drawing in so much Fortune at once? Pang Jian wondered.

This leader of the Nether Abyss did not appear to be an ordinary figure. He had to be plotting something vast and far-reaching.

"Ah Ta!" Fa Ji called urgently.

Pang Jian turned at the sound and saw a glint of gold had appeared on the head of the towering Ah Ta.

It was a golden Spirit Bee!

World God Bai Zi stood atop it, her green gown shimmering with rippling light that carried a sharp aura.

With its needle-like legs, the golden Nether Abyss Spirit Bee ruthlessly ripped open Ah Ta's skull.

The Titan Race was said to have bodies harder than forged metal and impervious to all weapons, but the golden bee had torn a split across his head like it was nothing.

Under Bai Zi's command, the golden bee happily dove into Ah Ta's exposed brain, letting out a joyous hum of eerie delight.

Bai Zi pressed her lips into a cold smile. With a sweep of her wide sleeve, she raised her jade staff and pointed it at the split on Ah Ta's head.

A stream of jade-green light surged into Ah Ta's exposed skull, aiding the golden bee in devouring his divine soul.

"This is the Nether Abyss. Here, we hold advantages you can't even begin to imagine."

Bai Zi shot through the void, heading straight for Great Demon God Fa Ji.

The Soul Burial Chasm had shattered into thousands of radiant streams of light after Ah Ta's iron rust, gold dust, silver sand, and metallic objects tainted it. It fragmented into millions of pieces, but once it relocated, it abruptly reformed.

"Bai Zi, you brought this on yourself! Both of us are World Gods. We were willing to spare your life, but you refused to appreciate it! If anything happens to Ah Ta, I swear I'll wipe out every last one of your Nether Gods and your Nether Race warriors!" Fa Ji roared in fury

As his anger peaked, his towering body shrank. Soon, Fa Ji had transformed into a lean, wiry Fey Race warrior, his entire being exuding a razor-sharp aura.

"You invade the Nether Abyss, rain slaughter down on my world, and blame me for lacking respect?" Bai Zi's slender figure twirled gracefully, her eyes as cold as ice. "Fa Ji, who do you think you are? If your former master, Demonheaven, had said those words, perhaps I would've tolerated it. But you? What are you even worth?"

The reassembled Soul Burial Chasm contracted, transforming into glowing jade-green rivers that streamed into Bai Zi's flowing green gown.

She had slain countless Outer Gods, devouring their divine souls and divine consciousness, seemingly for no other purpose than to weave the power she reaped into her flowing gown.

"Today, I, Bai Zi, will execute every last World God from the other abysses one by one, right here in the Nether Abyss."

The hem of her green gown fluttered wildly as the Soul Burial Staff in her hand blazed with dazzling light. Each streak of blue-green radiance contained a soul-related divine technique.

Soul-related divine techniques like Soul Extraction, Soul Transfer, Karma Severance, Reincarnation Procession, Possession, Rebirth, Soul Dissolution, and more all manifested within those beams of light, covering the space where Fa Ji stood.

At a glance, it looked as though layers of halos encircled Fa Ji.

The disappearance of the Soul Burial Chasm had not weakened Bai Zi. It had instead amplified her power, allowing her to unleash hundreds of soul-related divine techniques in the blink of an eye. Even the mighty Fa Ji found himself unable to break free.

The Nether Abyss was destined to always have two supreme Nether Gods across the eras. One was the leader of the Nether Abyss, and the other was the World God.

Though Long Di had yet to reveal himself, Bai Zi, the World God of the Nether Abyss, had already left the invading Outer Gods in utter misery.

She had slain many with the Soul Burial Chasm, gravely wounded Ah Ta of the Titan Race, and even bound the Great Demon God Fa Ji.

Though she was a high-ranking God like the others, she had not been exaggerating her might within the Nether Abyss.

"Hai Yin!" Bai Zi turned her gaze to Hai Wei. "Kill your kin. Take the World God Pendant from her. From this day forth, you'll be the new World God of the Sea Abyss."

"Understood!" A massive sea lion burst forth from a hidden trench in the deep sea.

Towering waves surged into the sky, tearing away from the sea and crashing upward with the sea lion as it lunged toward Hai Wei.

The sea lion opened its jaws, revealing a radiant pearl on its tongue, shimmering with multicolored light.

When Hai Wei laid eyes on the pearl, her head spun, and her bloodline was thrown into chaos. She plummeted helplessly from the sky with no chance to even resist.
