All guests followed along including Xiao Ling who excused himself from the chattering gers and women and rode with Yanzhi and their group. It was up to him to choose where he wanted to sit, whether others where annoyed by that, but it had no burden on him...and Yanzhi naturally had the same thoughts as his little wife, he was such a supportive husband. King Pingxi knew there was nothing he could do about the couple, so he also naturally ignored the whispers of dislikes and turned a blind eye oblivious to the frowning emperor and the self proclaimed immortal Pei. But unknown to them all, doctor Shi just had another shock heading for them.

As the sky darkened, it was time for the newly wedded husband to make a toast to the guests....and naturally the first toast was to be presented to the emperor, and then King Pingxi and Immortal Pei before the guests.....but a shocking thing happened as everyone watched with wide opened mouths as doctor Shi made his way to where Yanzhi sat. Xiao Ling frowned inexplicably at the trouble that was unto them, but Yanzhi watched with unfazed and indifferent to everything around... "Xiang gong...this..." Xiao Ling turned towards Yanzhi with a deep frown on his face, ’what was this surname Shi wanting to do?’ he couldn’t help but be with doubts. "Do not worry yourself with such mundane things, little wife. He Is bluntly telling everyone here including the emperor that he puts me before everyone else....haha in this way I can’t get rid of him..." he paused as a meaningful smile plastered on his face. "So he thinks, mortals and their little schemes thinking ’This Deity Will Be Affected In Anyway’...so little wife what do you think we should do to this ignorant mortal, with this big move he pulled off, our peaceful life will be slightly affected." With a playful grin he watched as Xiao Ling’s expressions changed many times. "How can anyone affect my peaceful life... if they’re flatten to the ground, whoever that may be even if it’s the emperor himself. And as for him..." Xiao Ling turned to doctor Shi who was now standing in front of them with his glass as he saluted and offered his glass to Yanzhi... "I still have a little impression of their couple, just accept his respect for now. Other matters will be dealt with another time!" Xiao Ling spoke meaningfully making Yanzhi laughed heartily as he stroke Xiao Ling on the head. That laughter succesfully brought everyone one out of their dazed and shocked state.

The emperor was first to react as he stood up from his chair, while hitting hard on the table making everything on the table fall turning into a mess. "Presumptuous!" the emperor yelled annoyed on top of his lungs. He wasn’t the only one who found doctor Shi’s acts audacious, immortal Pei was also angry at such an act!

"This kid!.." both parents of the bride and groom couldn’t help but cuss underneath their voices, but they knew that whatever was unfolding now was carefully decided by both the husband and wife and there was nothing they could do about the newly couple’s decision. And now that it has finally come to that, since the storm couldn’t be prevented it was better not to get involved..... yet. So they chose to stand on the observing side, King Pingxi had absolute trust in his son...he was sure that they planned well before pulling off this stunt, so he wasn’t overly worried about what will happen after this.

"Since ancient times it has been said that ’A day as a teacher, a lifetime as a father’, your excellency, to Jinhua and I... you’re that father to us. We know we’re unworthy to worship you as our teacher, so we only plead with your excellency to allow us to continue to stay by your side until the end of our life." doctor Shi said ignoring the angry and shocked looks from everyone, his tone laced with pleading. Hearing the words of doctor Shi, even the emperor himself who was angry beyond words couldn’t do anything anymore but to hold in his anger, because just as doctor Shi said, teachers have always been respected since ancient times and the emperor himself is not excused of that teachings. Even him as the emperor of the country, behind closed doors he bows to his teacher and speaks with outmost respect to his teacher even in front of his people and ministers. Doctor Shi continued to bow in offering of his glass, his muscles all stiffed.

But Yanzhi on the other hand still had a nonchalant attitude, in the quiet hall only his fingers drumming on the table from time to time in an unhurried way could be heard as everyone’s attention was solely on him. Yanzhi stood up from his chair slowly and gracefully, his smooth serene voice as he spoke calmly and unhurriedly breaking the dead silence. "I do not have a son as old as you.."

Doctor Shi froze hearing his words, his palms began to sweat and his heart heavy, what at normal times people would laugh at as a joke, but said now no one even had it in them to laugh at a time like this.

"nor do I have it in me to accept you as my disciples, but.....since little wife still considers you acquaintance, we will talk about what you want another day."

It was as if a heavy boulder had been lifted off of his shoulders after hearing what Yanzhi said, doctor Shi’s heart started to beat in excitement, not only him but his father and King Pingxi were also excited. Although Yanzhi didn’t give any positive answer, but his words also meant there was a chance...a chance for the couple to embark on the path of cultivating immortality with his teachings, they really had Xiao Ling to thank for that. And the guests at present although didn’t know the ins and outs of the matter, but seeing King Pingxi and imperial doctor Shi smiling they couldn’t help but be very curious about the matters involving Yanzhi and his group.
