The next morning, that was the day of Jinhua’s and doctor Shi’s marriage, King Pingxi’s residence was busier than the previous days. Guests were continuously welcomed to the venue of the ceremony. Official and aristocratic families, wealthy families and well known businessmen with their families and the royal families. All started to come to King Pingxi’s residence one after the other, the marriage of Jinhua who was a prince of the dynasty wasn’t to be missed by those who seeked political connections and the members of the royal families who just wanted to show their faces.

At Yanzhi’s and Xiao Ling’s courtyard, they were leisure with their morning routines not bothered by the liveliness and the atmosphere of the whole residence. But the thing was that, there was a slight change in their daily routine. As early as the first light, Yue, Liu, Chang and the little snake and the family of chipmunks all went out to hunt in the mountain around. Just when Xiao Ling and Yanzhi walked out of their room to the front yard, there were met with a pile of preys and fruits just at the entrance.

"What is all this about?" Xiao Ling asked with curiosity seeing such atmosphere. And Yanzhi at his side looked with no care and was unbothered by such.

"Mistress, this is our tribute to you in order for you not to eat us! You can only eat this!" Chan said with vigor as the others nodded.

"Mistress you see.... snake meet isn’t as delicious at all so you better not eat us!"

Yue also said and the others nodded along. Instantly Xiao Ling’s face turned fury red and blackened, cold air rose from him which sent shivers to their spines. They felt the eerie aura from Xiao Ling which made them all took steps back widening the distance between them and Xiao Ling.

Yanzhi broke out in a hearty laughter his shoulders raising and falling to the beat of his laughter. "Little wife it turns out that you have such caring students, going out of their ways to get you tributes such early morning."

One after the other they nodded, this made Xiao Ling more angry and his face more uglier.

"What tribute? Its better to just eat them!" Xiao Ling rebuked heavily. "Xiang Gong, don’t indulge them! I don’t want to eat any snake meat!" he angrily glared at Yanzhi when he noticed that Yanzhi took out something wrapped in leaves from his space. "Xiang Gong what is that you’re holding?" he asked with uncertainties.

"My tribute to little wife!" Yanzhi answered proudly. "And it’s better than theirs!" he added.

Xiao Ling had a bitter face, how could he think that such words he said as a joke would come and bite him in the back. He really doesn’t plan on tasting any snake meat okay, he just got curious about something people ate in his previous life! He sighed defeatedly no longer in the mood to explain anything and with bitter face he packed up their so called mount of tribute into his inventory and walked away leaving them with only these words. "I’m going to cook breakfast now!"

Ever since Yue and Liu started assisting him in the kitchen, he’d call upon them, but today he left without even looking their way. But Yue and Liu wouldn’t stand still, they quickly followed after him in hurried steps. Yanzhi stood in place, his gaze on the their receding backs, his face stilled like the calm waters. One couldn’t tell what was on his mind but an unexpected expression crept onto his face, he expressed his regret thinking maybe he’s joke had gone too far because his little wife wasn’t in a good mood. Just as the expression was shown in the same way it left, as he went back to his aloof and nonchalant self.

Dressed in a moon-white long brocade robes, some hair strands on each side of his face and on each side of his shoulders while the rest tied in and left behind, and with a lazy look was Yanzhi. And beside him was Xiao Ling dressed in a very dark coloured long brocade robes, and his hair tied in a top bun and fixed with hair crown. Behind them were Yue, Liu, Chang and Bee. Yue was clothed in a green coloured long robes and her hair tied in a bun and fixed with the crown given by Yanzhi. Liu was clothed in a pink robes making her look childish and cute, her hair was also tied in a bun with a crown. Chang clothed in a light blue coloured warrior robes with his hair tied in a bun and fixed with a crown, and Bee was dressed in a black Daopao and his hair which was short was styled simply into a modern short hair cut style.

The six of Xiao Ling’s family walked out of their courtyard and headed to the venue of the marriage ceremony. Since they took their sweet time doing their thing and getting ready, the marriage process had already began and the guests had arrived. They by past some guests outside of the hall where the marriage process was taking place. The six family of Xiao Ling were in the attention of the guests they walked by past, their faces which were new to the people of the capital coupled with Yanzhi’s extraordinary look, his peculiar green eyes and snow-white hair. Xiao Ling a ger walking side by side with him, and the four of Yue, Liu Chang and Bee who followed behind and also the respectful attitudes of the servants of King Pingxi’s residence to them.

"Who are those?"

Whispers and whispers followed them as people were curious of their identities.

He was already in wait for them that seeing them not coming after so long he had thought they wouldn’t come. Dr. Shi and Jinhua gazes fell on them and also breathed a sigh of relief, they also almost thought that the couple wouldn’t make it to their marriage. Because after they left to look for the treasure the previous day, they hadn’t set their eyes on then until now.

"Master Yan and Mistress Ling you’re finally here. Come, come I’ll lead you to your seat" he greeted with enthusiasm. Now knowing that those two Buddhas were actually real Buddhas he wanted to scurry favor with them more now.

Xiao Ling replied to him as Yanzhi just nodded, but the thing was that King Pingxi looked somewhat embarrassed.

"Speak!" Said Yanzhi with a cold and expressionless face.

King Pingxi lamented on how to bring forth what was on mind.

"Master Yan it’s about Mistress Ling’s sitting location, you se..."

As King Pingxi was explaining, the family of six all turned their heads at the same time with cold and unfriendly looks. Their attentions on a certain place.

Yue sneered and so did her siblings making King Pingxi standing there dumbfounded to their sudden change until he turned to look at where their gazes were. His heart skipped a beat because where the family of six turned to with murderous and angry look was where his royal highness the emperor was seated. The emperor’s gaze was fixated on them with questioning look but thankfully to King Pingxi, the person the family of six showed unfriendly look to was a white haired man in white robes. That person was no other than immortal Pei, immortal Pei also had his gaze fixated on the family of Yanzhi. His face reddened from anger and ugly.

This sudden action caused the whole place to seem as if time had stopped, King Pingxi held his breath and internally praying that nothing goes wrong. Because right now there are two Buddhas at present whom he couldn’t afford offending both of them, those were Yanzhi and the emperor. So in the beginning he had planned on silently seeing to YanZhi and have him blend in with the guests without the emperor’s notice but now it seems that wouldn’t be thanks to someone.
