"Get up. I have fulfilled two of your requests, you have one more. You serving me is no request, so ask for what you want." Yanzhi ordered and said.

Gouzhi got up on his feet looking energetic, he was flustered hearing Yanzhi’s words because he had thought all of his favors were used now. "Then your excellency can i think about it and inform you later, now i have nothing more i want to request." he said nervously with caution.

"En! You can ask for it later after thinking about it" Gouzhi was happy being assured. They walked out of the room, yet again they were remembered of the inhumane actions of the fifth prince.

"Xiang gong" Xiao Ling called out as they walked on the path.

"Hm?" Yanzhi answered in his nasal.

"You did say that the begger’s sect are good in gathering informations, right?" he stopped in his tracks making YanZhi and the others stopped too.

Yanzhi was unsure why he asked, but he still answered. "Yes, that’s what they do. Probably that’s why the prince went for them, whether he was insinuated by this immortal Pei like how King Pingxi thinks or not. But there’s one fact about why this all happened, that is their talent in gathering informations."

"I thought so too" Xiao Ling agreed to his words. Gouzhi and Tan Fan listened to them with anger boiling in the depths of their hearts. "So i thought of something. In my place we have something called spy system, the works of spy agents is to infiltrate enemy base and gather informations and so on, there’s a lot of things spies can do. Similar to the begger’s sect, right?" Xiao Ling spoke again.

Yanzhi didn’t need further explanation to know what Xiao Ling wanted to say. "So you want to have them and trian them to work as spies?" Xiao Ling nodded his head vigorously to Yanzhi’s words. Xiao Ling seldomly asks for things, and he has no intention of ever denying Xiao Ling’s requests. "Little wife you need not make personal requests like that, you have my support in everything."

Xiao Ling smiled brightly, he truly appreciate Yanzhi’s supports and care for him.

"Whatever little wife says" Yanzhi simple replied. With Yanzhi’s words the matter was settled, Gouzhi and Tan Fan jubilated and thanked the couples over and over.

They walked to the center of the path. "Gouzhi, you go talk to your fellows. Anyone willing to swear their loyalty to us, Xiang gong and I will take them under our wings and heal their wounds." Xiao Ling instructed.

Yanzhi gave Yue, Liu and No. 6 boxes and porcelains containing abyss essence pills, recovery elixirs and the elixirs for regrowing back limbs. "Only heal those who agree to take the abyss essence pill" he instructed them too as they followed along Gouzhi.

Yanzhi and Xiao Ling stood in wait along with Tan Fan as they watched Gouzhi talked in convincing and showing his regrew leg to them.

It seems they don’t care for his opinions, he sighed defeatedly.

"Yes. Your jobs now will be spies as well as gathering informations. You lead them just like you did previously" Xiao Ling stated, his decision firm.

"Mistress, this servant will not disappoint you!" Tan Fan kowtowed all of a sudden startling him. Xiao Ling was embarrassed having someone who looked old enough to be his father kowtowing to him was very embarrassing and uncomfortable. He wasn’t used to this kowtowing at every turn, so he didn’t like being kowtowed to.

"What are you doing? Get up at once!" Xiao Ling ordered in anger.

Tan Fan got up and looked to him with confused eyes.

"Don’t kowtow next time, I’m okay with just bowing." Xiao Ling improvised, Tan Fan was his subordinate and was below him. So in this era Tan Fan kowtowing to him was the right thing to do, but since Xiao Ling didn’t like being kowtowed to, just bowing was good enough. Infact bowing was also a N’okay for him, but the thing was that one has to stay, either kowtowing or bowing. He’d rather choose bowing.

"Servant understands" Tan Fan bowed respectfully, he didn’t understand why Xiao Ling reacted strongly like that. But since Xiao Ling didn’t like him kowtowing and rather bow, then he’d do just that. He thought and went on jubilating.

They stood watching as the people convinced by Gouzhi increased after the first, second, third and fourth person was healed completely after swearing loyalty and taking the abyss essence pill. If it was to be just swearing loyalty, then they wouldn’t hesitate, but having to take the poison was what made them hesitate so much. Getting healed, then going to take poison again isn’t that just stupid. Why get healed in the first place, isn’t it that poison will also kill you. They argued. But upon all that, those with strong will went forward and got healed, leaving the cowardly ones.

Xiao Ling in a heated conversation with Yanzhi and grinning from ear to ear, felt his robes being pulled. Both him and Yanzhi glanced downwards to see a child about three to four covered in dirt from head to toe, his clothes were tattered. The child was holding the hems of his clothes and pulling with his head raised up and looking upwards. So when Xiao Ling looked downwards, their eyes happened to meet. Xiao Ling stared into the innocent and clueless eyes of the child not speaking but he had a bright smile, the child just looked back at him without showing any emotions.

The others who saw this were startled when the child suddenly walked to the two young masters and grab hold the clothes of one of the young masters soiling the clothes with his dirty hand. They thought Xiao Ling would get angry at the child and beat the child for soiling his robes, because that was what the young masters do. Even though they knew clearly that Yanzhi and Xiao Ling standing that were the people offering to heal them, since they didn’t know who Yanzhi and Xiao Ling were, they assumed the couple were those kind of people. And the reason for offering to heal them was just on a whim, thinking that after following the couple, maybe they’ll be sold as slaves and put to work in a harsh environment. That was why most of them were hesitating to go for the life saving grace which was brought to their door steps. But instead of Xiao Ling scolding the child and beating him to death, he rather smiled as if not seeing the dirt on his clothes, or maybe he just didn’t care. And the other person besides him just watched and said nothing, not showing disgust nor disdain. The people were truly flabbergasted, they couldn’t tell whether what they were seeing was real or fake.

"Little one what’s wrong?" Xiao Ling asked in a soft tone smiling warmly at the child.

"I- heard- them- say- that- you’re - healing - people" the child said timidly.

Xiao Ling was distressed. "Yes, are you hurt somewhere and want to be healed? I’ll heal you okay" Xiao Ling said in a way of coaxing the child.

The child shook his head and turned around pointing somewhere. "I’m not hurt, but my mother. Sh-she’s hurt and wouldn’t wake up again" the child sobbed whiles saying.

Both Xiao Ling and Yanzhi traced to where the child was pointing, not far from them were the child pointed at laid an unmoving body. Just by watching from where they stood, it was obvious that the child’s mother was dead. The child turned back to look at them, his face stained with tears making the already soiled dirty face soiled even more.

Xiao Ling felt more distressed, he knelt down at once and hugged the child into his arms not caring that child was dirty and smelled.

"I - I - I" Xiao Ling couldn’t find his words and could only hug the child and stammer.

The people watching where so shocked that they had their mouths opened wide agape and swallowing houseflies. They all could hear the conversations between the child and Xiao Ling, so they thought Xiao Ling would ignore the child for his unreasonable request. Even if the two could regrow severed limbs, how can they bring back the dead to life!
