The man was startled sensing their presence, with much difficulty, he turned towards them looking to them with vigilance, confused and questioning eyes. Seeing his uneasiness, Tan Fan stepped forward and was about to explain the reason for their sudden intrusion. But Yanzhi beat him to it.

"Do you remember some years back a young man commissioned you for some informations, in return he will grant you three favors because he had no silver on him to pay you for your services?" Yanzhi asked as his tranquil gaze focused on the man frowning from pain.

The man looked to him with confused eyes not recalling about Yanzhi’s question, moments later after thinking it through his eyes which were without light suddenly shone brightly as he forced a smile on his face. But he became more confused since the youth back then and the man now were completely different, but he felt a little familiarity with Yanzhi.

"Ah-h it’s you! N-no wonder i felt some familiarity from you!" he forced out the words which great difficulty. He looked happy after recalling and recognizing Yanzhi.

"You’re here now....to grant the three favors promised?" he asked Yanzhi with seriousness.

"Yes" Yanzhi simple answered.

The man looked from head to toe, sizing Yanzhi up carefully. He didn’t know why but he felt that Yanzhi in front of him looking very different from the time he met him in his youth, he felt Yanzhi was reliable and can grant him any thing he asks.

"But, it’s left with two favors now"

He heard Yanzhi suddenly say. The man frowned at Yanzhi’s words.

"I have already granted you one wish which you desire" Yanzhi decided to explain even before the man ask.

The man was yet again confused, he expected Yanzhi to explain his words, but Yanzhi ignored his questioning eyes. Tan Fan who got his que stepped in.

"Xiao Gou! It’s me elder Fan!" Tan Fan said restraining his excitements.

Xiao Gou was shocked by his words and stared wide eyed at Tan Fan. "You! You-you’re not telling lies to me right?" he asked feeling inexplicable. "Elder was beheaded yesterday!" Xiao Gou added his voice filled with resentments and unwillingness.

"I should’ve, it was for his excellency’s saving grace that i am here standing in front of you now. And also thanks to you, if his excellency hadn’t owe you, then I’d sure have been beheaded yesterday" Tan Fan couldn’t contain his emotions, he was grateful to Xiao Gou for his life saving grace which reached to him too.

Xiao Gou’s eyes were filled with tears making his eyes glassy, it was as if the spell of forgetfulness had lifted from his eyes and his memory restored. He stared stunned at Tan Fan recognizing him, he looked to YanZhi with worship.

"Your excellency is right, you did grant me a wish I desired. Then can I ask your excellency for the rest of my favors?" Xiao Gou changed his tone and the way he addressed Yanzhi. It was clear to him that the Yanzhi now was no longer the youth back then.

"Go ahead" Yanzhi simply permitted.

"Can.....can your excellency find a way to heal my leg. Hah! What am I even asking, how can a severed leg be healed...." Xiao Gou asked, but then thought his request was unreasonable which led to him talking gibberish. Yanzhi looked at him talking in gibberish annoyed.

"Your leg can be regrow. What’s your third request?" Yanzhi cut him off with his words.

Xiao Gou stared at Yanzhi in disbelief. "You- you can really heal my leg?! You’re speaking the truth right, you..."

"Stop asking questions and tell me your third request!" Yanzhi cut him off again.

He could see the annoyed look on Yanzhi’s face, he shrank his neck feeling embarrassed for talking nonsense when Yanzhi was seriously discussing here. "I can see that elder Fan is serving your excellency, can i use my third request for that? I wish to serve your excellency too."

Yanzhi observed Gouzhi searching and even within Gouzhi’s heart. He didn’t say anything after he was done observing and just walked to the laying Gouzhi, one wouldn’t be able to approach Gouzhi closer because the more you’re near to him, the more the stench. But because it was YanZhi, he was unaffected by the stench since he was clothed by qi from head to toe. He squatted down beside Gouzhi. "Cleanse" he muttered softly. Gouzhi’s heart beat fiercely as he looked at Yanzhi worked his magic feeling awestruck and full of praise, but he kept mute and unmoving holding his breath, fearing he would disturb Yanzhi.

Xiao Ling and the others stood behind as they watched Yanzhi do his thing, Xiao Ling also had his interest aroused to see how Yanzhi was going have a severed leg regrow. In his previous life it was impossible to regrow severed body parts, but to reattach them was very possible, only high level priests with miraculous healing power could perform such feat and they charge a ton for it. Hearing Yanzhi saying he could heal Gouzhi’s leg, Xiao Ling wanted to see how he was going to do it. Surprisingly he didn’t doubt Yanzhi’s words but rather believed Yanzhi’s words calmly as if deep within his soul and in his eyes, Yanzhi had already regrew Gouzhi’s leg, that’s how much fate and believe he has in Yanzhi.

Yanzhi took out a box from his space almost shocking Gouzhi to death.

"This..this, this, this" Gouzhi couldn’t find his words pointing to the space beside Yanzhi with his eyes looking as if they’ll pop out of their sockets any minute. Yanzhi ignored his shocked look, looking as if a cat has got his tongue.

Yanzhi calmly opened up the box and took out dark-red coloured pill from the box, he extended forward his hand with the pill to the still shocked Gouzhi. "Take this" he instructed without any expression or warmth.

Gouzhi looking dazed took the pill from Yanzhi with shaky hands, and with shaky hands sent the pill to his mouth and swallowed. As soon as the pill touched his tongue, it melted down his throat at fast pace.

"Ahh!!!!" Gouzhi let out an agonizing cry, shrilling like a dying pig. His body felt hot as if he was being burnt to death from the inside. It was too painful to bare, even when his leg was cut off he didn’t experience such excruciating pain. He was sweating profusely as he wished himself dead and free from such pain.

"Your excellency....Xiao Gou!" Tan Fan had a fright seeing Gouzhi wriggling on the plank like a worm.

But he was ignored by Yanzhi who said nothing, but still had his attention on Gouzhi watching silently. And so did the others.

Something miraculous begin to unfold in their sights. Gouzhi’s leg started to regrow, the tendons forming and regrowing at a very fast pace without pause. It only took moments for the leg to fully grow back.

They stared at the regrew leg which looked nothing like how it looked moments ago. Everyone had their gazes focused on Yanzhi as if looking at god, but indeed he was a god and those close to him knew that very fact.

Sensing their gazes, Yanzhi turned to look at them. He slowly stood up in an elegant way, his face looking exactly like it was before he performed such a feat with no sweat. He walked slowly to Xiao Ling as they both had their sights focused on his each.

A playful smirk formed on Yanzhi’s lips as he said to Xiao Ling teasingly "little wife do you admire your Xiang gong more after seeing his worth"

"Yes! Your worth just keeps on increasing and my admiration for you keep on increasing. Infact i worship you and kowtow to you several times, your magnifying greatness is overwhelming" Xiao Ling sprouted at once with a serious face.

Yanzhi was stunned by his words, Xiao Ling’s words was full of honesty and praise.

"Ha ha ha... little wife you’re precious. Having you in my life, i am filled with excitements and anticipation of the future. I have never been curious about what is to happen in the near future, but now i can’t help but wish I could see far ahead, our future together" YanZhi laughed and carresed Xiao Ling’s cheek with his finger tips, staring into the innocent eyes of Xiao Ling which was full of honesty.

"Your excellency, this lowly servant bows to you. Your benevolence, this servant will never forget."

An overly excited loud voice broke them out of their two people world. Yanzhi turned to see Gouzhi kowtowing looking exuberant and peeking at him from below, he watched and said nothing.

"Your excellency this servant also thanks you for the benevolence you’ve showed us." Tan Fan also said.

Yanzhi throw a porcelain bottle on the floor, which made sounds while rolling to Gouzhi. Gouzhi raised up his head to see the porcelain thrown to him, before titling up his head to YanZhi. Yanzhi glanced at him lightly.

"There’s a poison in it, take that and you will enslave your life to me" Yanzhi’s words had no warmth.

With Yanzhi just saying that, Gouzhi vigorously swallowed the pill without further explanation. Tan Fan was stunned by that, but was happy too.

"Do you not care what kind of poison you swallowed? What if it kills you when you just got your leg back?" Yanzhi asked amused.

"My life and death belongs to your excellency. So i do not care...and i know your excellency wouldn’t harm me for no reason"

Xiao Ling smiled and laughed, he liked Gouzhi’s answer.

"I see. From now on, your life and death belongs to my family for eternity. All i ask of you is your loyalty, never harbor any ill intentions towards my family. If you do just that, i promise you a good life for eternity." Yanzhi stated.
