Chapter 81: Ch. 38 Part 2

"He-he can use internal force energy!" a disciple from Zhang’s martial arts school pointed shouting in shock. "Even not everyone can use internal force in our school. Only master, first eldest brother and those shadow guards trained by master!" the disciple said in praise.

"What is internal force energy?" the villagers asked amongst themselves.

"Aiya~ you went overboard" Lin smiled and said to Feng when he came over.

"He’ll live, didn’t use too much strength." Feng shrugged, he wasn’t going to waste time playing around since in the first place he wasn’t really in favor of the duel.

"Hopefully he doesn’t become crippled" Mei Lin winced looking at the unconscious opponent.

"Junior sister Mei Lin it’s your turn now" Lin urged Mei Lin to go forward.

"Wait!" Yu shouted.

"What, Yu don’t want to continue again? Do you admit defeat?" Lin joked.

Yu was angered by his words but he held it back and voiced out his thoughts. "The duel ends with you and me, my fellow siblings do not know how to use internal force energy and i presume your junior sister knows how to use internal force energy. Even if i win it’s obvious that it’s your win since we already lost two fights." Yu stated, even though he knew that they’ve lost the match he still wanted to compare. He still saw himself superior.

"Well either way is okay. Junior sister Mei Lin will sit this out." Lin said and went to the stage with Yu.

They cupped to each other.

"Qiu Yu, first eldest disciple from Zhang’s martial arts school"

"Lin, second disciple"

They introduced themselves.

"I plead big brother to enlighten me" Lin joked. His words to those who didn’t know about Jianghu would sound Just like him asking Yu who was older than him for enlightenment, but the meaning behind was different. Because in Jianghu, strength determines everything. Yu gritted his teeth looking at Lin resentfully, he was really was going to be annoyed to death by Lin’s harmless words.

"I presume that young lady Yue, is the first disciple. So what makes you proud when it’s a girl who stands above you all!" Yu spatted back thinking he’ll hurt Lin’s ego with this.

But Lin was unaffected and instead smiled more brightly invigorated. "I’ll tell you the reason....only if you’re able to defeat me"

The flag was lifted for them to begin with the duel.

"Arhat Golden Body" Lin muttered. His whole body excluded golden light as a holographic big statue of Buddha appeared hanging in the mid air above his head. The statue shrink thrice before entering his body and the golden light subsided.

When it happened almost everyone there were blinded by the golden light with the exception of his siblings, Yu and some three or four disciples of Zhang’s martial arts school and the elderly man hiding amongst the audiences.

"Wh-what just happened?"

"I couldn’t see anything just now, a strong golden light came out of his body!"

The villagers whispered discussion stunned by the continuous miraculous events.

Yu squinted his eyes and blinked several times to adjust them back. "What was that?" he asked Lin.

"Just a technique" Lin shrugged "Come now, let’s begin!" Lin urged.

"Where’s your weapon?" Yu asked as he unsheathed his sword.

"Don’t mind that and just come!" Lin once again urged looking impatient.

Yu placed his doubts behind his back and they both charged forward. The audiences watched as series of exchanging attacks between the two unfolded. The fight between Lin and Yu was longer than the first two, they held their breaths as they watched focused fearing of blinking and loosing seeing something extraordinary.

Yu was left speechless and confused as he should have won several times because his sword had reached Lin many times. But everytime it reach Lin’s body, it was as if he was striking on a metal leaving not even a scratch on Lin’s body. After series of attacking and defending, Yu was starting to loose his breath as he was getting tired. In anger, he strike harder aiming for Lin’s neck. Lin effortlessly caught the blade in mid-air before it even reached it’s target.

"Hmm, I’m truly disappointed as i expected more. It’s time to end this farce." In a serious cold tone he said expressionlessly.

"Mountain Crushing Fist" he muttered as he clenched his fist hard and punched Yu in the guts, strong force could be seen coming out from Yu’s back.

Yu spat out water as he crouched down on the ground holding his stomach and grunting. Lin threw the sword in his hand beside it’s owner. He looked lightly at Yu, from above it was like he was staring at an ant which he could squash with his finger.

"I did say I’ll tell you the reason only if you won...but I’ve decided to tell you although you didn’t win against me." there was irony in the way he spoke. "The reason why elder sister is the first disciple and above us is because she is stronger than us.... and you think you can fight her when you couldn’t defeat me even though I fought you with little strength, pathetic. You’re nothing in our eyes, we tolerate your rude imprudence because master wish it." Lin said word by word to Yu who continued to grunt painfully feeling as if he was going to die from the pain, everything was buzzing and making him dizzy. Lin looked up and swept over the rest of the dumbstruck and dazed disciples of Zhang’s martial arts school. After Yu’s defeat, they remained rooted on spot not believing their eyes. "With this i believe the duel has come to an end...and who won is obvious" Lin said to them. But none of them could find their voices, neither refuting nor accepting just nodding their heads like lizards.

"This old man witnessing this made me remember something i heard before. Crouching tiger, hidden dragon. This old man first didn’t know what it meant, but now i understand what crouching tiger, hidden dragon means. Yes, with this the duel is decided." The elderly man walked out from the crowd to the opening whiles saying.

"Who might this senior be?" Seeing that it was an elderly person, Lin saluted respectfully.

The man smiled pleased with Lin’s attitude towards him even though it was their first meeting. The man stroked his beard "i now see why junior Yue says my disciples are disrespectful and rude, truly master Jun taught his disciples well."

"This old man is surnamed Zhang, the owner of Zhang martial arts school." master Zhang introduced.

Lin had no impression of master Zhang "ohh. Junior Lin pays respect to master Zhang" Lin said mildly. And so did Feng, Baihu and Mei Lin.

"Master!" The disciples of Zhang’s martial arts school getting over their dazed state called out anxiously and nervously. Master Zhang ignored them.

"Grass man has seen master Zhang!" the villagers bowed respectfully and greeted enthusiastically. It was their first time seeing master Zhang in person although they’ve heard about him several times from people.

"Get up! get up! i ask where’s the head of this village?" he urged them and asked politely.

"Answer, i am named Lu Haitao the village head" uncle Lu came forth and said.

"I apologize to head Lu, my disciples have caused disturbances in your village. I will make sure to discipline them when we get back." master Zhang cupped and apologized earnestly.

Uncle Lu was stiffed "we don’t mind, we don’t mind. Master Zhang doesn’t need to bother with something like this, we also got to see duel between martial artists!" he quickly said.

"Thanks for your understanding" master Zhang smiled.

"Junior Lin, I’ll be leaving with my disciples now, they need urgent treatment. And about your bet with them... let’s talk about it later with your master." master Zhang turned to Lin who was chatting with his siblings.

"Senior doesn’t need to worry. This was just juniors exchanging techniques and nothing more, about the bet...it’s invalid." Lin stated coldly.

Master Zhang was greateful for his words since in reality his disciples had disgraced him big time, betting his school in a duel without his permission and end up loosing. He could’ve stopped the duel when he arrived, but at that time he was late and the bet had already been made and the first match was lost, so he could only watched the duel without interfering. "I am thankful for junior’s words, but a promise is a promise. I’ll discuss with your master when he returns." master Zhang refuted Lin’s words before walking away. He didn’t need to instruct his disciples who knew how fucked they were, they quickly helped Yu and Ju who’s conditions were serious and followed behind their master in an hurry. But the person who informed master Zhang about Yu and others coming to find Yanzhi didn’t follow along with two others.

Cheng Lin approached Lin nervously. Lin turned sharply to him with a cold look making Cheng Lin shrank his neck. Looking at his robes, Lin could tell that he was a junior disciple of master Zhang.

"This junior, what do you want?" Lin asked bluntly.

Cheng Lin cupped respectfully and greeted. "Junior’s name is Cheng Lin, i have seen senior brother Lin!" his tone sounded excited.

"Elder brother he is also named Lin like you" Mei Lin pointed out.

"I dare ask senior brother the meaning of your Lin?" Cheng Lin asked with nervousness.

Lin was unmoved "forest" he said without warmth. He thought the farce of with the disciples from Zhang Martial Arts school was over, but then Cheng Lin approached which made him annoyed and decided not to indulge them anymore.

"The meaning of my Lin is ’fine jade’. We’re both named Lin, but with different meanings" Cheng Lin explained joyfully.
