" Come in and close the door Yue " he ordered not wanting her to continue wasting time with whoever it was... Xangren who heard what Yue called him was utterly shocked that a slave in his own brother’s house would call him that... Yue was caught off guard as he pushed her away from the door and ran into the house making her stumble, she quickly closed the door and ran after him in hurry furious.

" eldest brother it’s me Xangren " Xangren shouted as he saw YanZhi sitting in the front yard.... YanZhi ignored him and turned his attention to Yue who followed in looking so pissed

" master forgive your disciple... that lecher forced his way through when I wasn’t paying attention " Yue pleaded and explained when she was met with YanZhi’s indifferent gaze, YanZhi nod not blaming her for Xangren’s intrusion. Xangren couldn’t contain his anger anymore when Yue kept calling him a lecherer,

" eldest brother... how do you train your servant! she’s being disrespectful to your own blood! " Xangren said in anger making YanZhi cocked his eyes....

" and how do you expect we train her? " a voice sounded from the kitchen door as Xiao Ling walked out of the kitchen hearing a familiar voice... he gave a snort of disgust to Xangren making Xangren glared at him resentfully

" when the men are talking, the wifes should keep their mouths shut " Xangren said to Xiao Ling disdainfully making YanZhi glare at him fiercely

" watch your tone with my wife.... he speaks anytime he wants, don’t let me hear you scold him ever again! " YanZhi warned

" but eldest brother... "

" what do you want? " YanZhi cut him off as he stood there dumbfoundedly

" eldest brother first have your servant taught a lesson for insulting me... I’m your own blood how could you ignore when your servant is being disrespectful to me! " YanZhi raised his head and looked at him silently, he knew the reason for his visit and what had just happened between him and Yue... but he chose to pretend not to wanting to know where he wanted to take all of this

" how do you suppose she’s taught? " he asked in a carefree manner.... before they could know what he was going to say Xangren walked to Yue and hit her hard on her face which made all of them shocked. Yue was so furious that she was fuming in smokes as Xangren watched her with triumph, beating up slaves was a normal thing in this time and space so Xangren taught slapping Yue was nothing and his eldest brother wouldn’t mind. YanZhi’s already vibrant green pupils deepened more making them glow as he glared angrily at Xangren making Xangren terrified and confused

" eldest .... brother... what’s ... the ... matter... I just thought the slave a lesson " Xangren stuttered scared at YanZhi’s strange behavior and strange look but YanZhi’s ignored him and grunting as he was loosing control

" Yue slap him back! " Xiao Ling who was mute feeling his blood boil ordered in a loud voice, Yue readily slapped him back with all her strength as if she was waiting for that order. A fierce slap from her sent Xangren flying... he held his cheek where he fell looking at them baffled, shocked and angry as tears slowed out of his eyes making him unpresentable and messy with snorts on his face. He turned to looked at YanZhi thinking YanZhi will do something about it but YanZhi didn’t have that in mind at all, infact YanZhi thought that he should thank the heavens that it was Xiao Ling who took over the matter... because he (YZ) would’ve have destroyed both him and his soul making him never to reincarnate.

" You should thank your heavens that one can’t kill freely in this world, I would’ve chopped you up into piece and make soup out of you to feed my skeletons. Yue isn’t a slave! and even if she was, you don’t have right to tell me how to train my slaves nor have the right to lay your hands on them! " Xiao Ling said to him furiously still wanting to chop him up. YanZhi finally got control of himself and stood up, he slowly approached Xangren moving one foot after the other as if he was counting his step.. he stopped when he was a step away from Xangren and watched him silently for a few minutes before opening his mouth to say

" if you came here to ask for money, I don’t have... and if it’s about the bull, I won’t give it out, the bull isn’t for farming it’s to pull a cart. Now get lost and don’t ever come back here again... or you won’t be so lucky to leave here intact next time! " his eyes glowed as he said the last part making Xangren almost peed himself, he quickly got himself up and ran out of the house without even closing the door as if someone was chasing him to kill him. The villagers were shocked to see his messy state with swollen cheeks as if he was running for his life... they tried stopping him but he ignored them and ran straight home.

YanZhi closed the door after Xangren ran out before walking back to Yue, he held Yue’s chin up and slowly turned her face sideway checking her cheek which had turned red from the slap. Her skin was very white so it made the slap mark redder than normal... YanZhi slowly wiped his thumb on the mark making it vanish in an instant along with the sting.

" thank you master " she cupped and thanked gratefully

" I know I said to be patient with them and not to strike, but when someone provokes you... you can fight back and defend yourself just don’t kill. " YanZhi said to her feeling that he was part to blame... Yue nod in understanding

" Yue you can hurt them until they plead for death okay... I’m a human myself but I’ll be honest with you, humans are scums " Xiao Ling added making YanZhi chuckled and Yue laughed regaining her normal spirit and forgetting what just happened

" little wife in your case you’re no longer a complete human, you’re half a human, half a demon and half a cultivator... aiya you’re a species of your own " YanZhi mocked making Xiao Ling placed his hand on his chest and made an action of sighing playfully

" then that’s great... I’m not a scum! " he joked in triumph and they all laughed putting what didn’t matter at the back of their minds.

While in the Jun family house it was chaos.... grandma, father Jun, Du Shi and Zhao Shi were all angry when Xangren returned home without any good news but instead he was in a mess and his cheek was red and swollen. To treat that would cause a lot of cents which they were hesitant to spend but they loved him too much to leave him be like that too... grandma reluctantly sent Xiangli to call for the village doctor to come and check on Xangren, Qian Shi couldn’t help but silently snickered at the state Xangren was in and how anxious Zhao Shi was making Zhao Shi not able to think properly.. that was how Qian Shi feels every time her husband comes back home from the farm with a body which looked lifeless because he was overworked.

She now see why YanZhi wouldn’t want anything to do with the Jun family and how Xiao Ling felt when they were treated bad... she had now started being sensible and not live the way she used to so she doesn’t concern herself anymore to their schemes against YanZhi and his family since she is now too focused on helping her husband and taking on some of the works left on him to reduce his workload. After the village doctor came and checked on Xangren and gave him an ointment for the swollen cheek he charged them a hundred cents which grandma felt pained after paying.

" let’s go to the village head... we must ask him to be the judge and ask for an answer from YanZhi. How could he hurt his younger brother to this extent... did I do wrong in raising him after his mother passed away?! " Du Shi said feeling resentful at her son’s condition

" yes, we’ll ask the village head to ask for an answer for him " father Jun added.

YanZhi, Xiao Ling and Yue were busily doing their own thing not knowing that their reports were being sent to the village head.... Xiao Ling poured water into the ice cube maker and infused his qi to make ice cubes, he infused his qi into the fridge to have it start working. He took out the milk they bought earlier in the morning from his inventory and went into the kitchen along with Yue. He wanted to make something cold for them to refresh themselves even tho the qi does that he still wanted to do things the human way too so he thought of making them baobing Chinese shaved ice as desert, so he wanted to make homemade condensed milk for the desert. He had Yue start the fire for him and poured half of the milk into a pot and placed it on the stove, he measured the right amount of sugar to the one-third milk and added it into the pot of milk.

He held a wooden spoon in his hand and started to stir the milk continuously in other for it not to stick to the pot... he made sure Yue had the fire going in the right temperature not to high and not too low. When the sugar completely dissolved and the milk turned to the right constituent of condensed milk he took the pot of the fire and poured it in a clean bowl before putting it into the fridge to cool along with the rest of the milk and washed the pot he used. He then prepared the filling which where chunky red mung beans paste and cooling mung beans, since there were no tapioca pearls in this time and space he decided to skip them... he put the fillings too into the fridge for later use since it was meant to be eating in the even as desert after dinner...

" are you done with what you’re doing? " YanZhi who saw him walked out of the kitchen asked as he was writing calligraphy on a made book by himself and was drawing some martial arts techniques. Xiao Ling nod

" Hm... I want to climb up the mountain now to see the kinds of fruits I can find on the mountain " he answered to YanZhi’s question.... he had being to the mountain several times but he had never really checked it out well since every time he went to the mountain it was to go to YanZhi’s sanctuary.. so he didn’t know what exactly could be found on the mountain.

" Go with Yue and bring back some grass for the horses " Xiao Ling nod and Yue cupped her hands before they took their baskets and walked out of the house.
