Chapter 356: Chapter 196: Like

They were so close, close enough that Shu Wan could count the number of Fu Siyu’s eyelashes.

Fu Siyu’s hands softly encircled Shu Wan, and when he needed to fasten the necklace, he leaned forward, surrounding Shu Wan completely with a faint sandalwood scent.

She slightly lowered her gaze, which naturally fell upon the neckline of Fu Siyu’s throat, where his Adam’s apple was subtly visible, exuding a kind of abstinent sexiness.

"Very beautiful."

Fu Siyu’s Adam’s apple slightly bobbed as he stepped back a bit, admiring Shu Wan, though his eyes weren’t focused on the necklace.

"Mm."

Shu Wan glanced down, "I’ve always approved of your taste."

"I received a message that the snow will get heavier soon, would you like to go watch?"

"Yes."

Shu Wan nodded; she was quite fond of the snow scenes in Imperial City when the grandeur was covered by heavy snow, it created a particularly chilling tranquility.

In her past life, she had loved it, but there was a downside to the winters then—they were too cold. But now, with the heavy snow flurrying outside and the heating on inside, the cold was no longer an issue, making Shu Wan enjoy it all the more.

"Alright, I’ll take you to a place."

Saying this, Fu Siyu spoke a place name to the driver, who nodded, pressed the gas, and the car raced forward.

As the streetlights thinned, the city’s noise and grandeur gradually fell behind.

The air grew colder but also fresher and more pleasant.

Shu Wan held her phone, leaning against the seat, her gaze unfocused out the window, deep in thought, while Fu Siyu sat by her, his eyes on her.

Suddenly, Shu Wan’s gaze shifted slightly, glancing at the window, which reflected Fu Siyu’s serious watching.

Shu Wan’s heart tightened, feeling strangely peculiar.

At that moment, Fu Siyu spoke openly, "Sometimes I watch videos online and I feel the camera doesn’t truly capture your beauty."

Anyone praised for their beauty would be pleased, Shu Wan’s eyes curved, "Thank you."

Fu Siyu withdrew his gaze, concealing the thoughts in his eyes.

It wasn’t known how long had passed when the snowflakes falling outside the car window gradually got much bigger, and snow started accumulating on the road.

The path ahead extended, and as they ascended higher up the mountain, the snow outside grew thicker.

A deep forest without streetlights showed only the path ahead lit by the headlights.

The long night stretched on, Shu Wan had thought the car would need to drive for a while longer, but in about ten minutes, the formerly narrow path gradually widened, revealing a villa nestled in the mountains.

Against the vast expanse of white snow, the mountain villa was brightly lit, like a small castle from a fairy tale town, welcoming weary travelers lost in the snowstorm.

Sensing the approaching car, the villa’s gate opened automatically.

Fu Siyu drove into the courtyard, then got out of the car and opened an umbrella; he walked over to Shu Wan’s side, "Come down."

Shu Wan got out of the car and looked around, "This is?"

"There’s a ski slope nearby, Fu Yang likes to ski here, so I had a house built." Fu Siyu walked with Shu Wan inside, explaining the details of the place as they went.

"There are always two people here to manage and clean."

As soon as Fu Siyu finished speaking, two servants opened the door, respectfully greeting Fu Siyu and Shu Wan.

Fu Siyu waved his hand, "Just tidy up the guest room and then you can rest."

"Alright, young master."

Outside, the snow fell heavily, but inside it was quite warm, with a large fireplace at the center of the house where firewood blazed, flames dancing ardently.

The interior decoration leaned towards a European style; stepping on the soft carpet instantly felt as if the cold outside was completely shut out.

Shu Wan took off her coat, feeling warm enough in just a sweater.

She sat on a sofa in front of the fireplace, next to which stood a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows. Under the lights, one could see the cedar trees outside bowed by the snow, trembling slightly, releasing blankets of snow.

A servant brought over a cup of hot coffee, the tempting aroma of cocoa beans spreading through the air, full-bodied and rich.

Shu Wan took a sip from the cup, the heat quickly spreading down her esophagus to her stomach, warming every corner of her body, driving away endless chills.

"There is a place on the third floor specially for snow viewing, shall we go there?" Fu Siyu, now in lounge clothes, walked over.

"Sure."

Fu Siyu led Shu Wan upstairs to the third floor; the room was surrounded by huge floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the snowscape outside, with the ceiling shaped in an inverted V, making the falling snowflakes seem all the more immersive.
