============
The creature was strong. Very, very strong.
By nature, these three-eyed goats weren’t too aggressive. There had been instances where some players even managed to tame them.
While rare, it was also possible to domesticate these creatures, however, something like that only happened on ten floors above this one where everyone had their classes.
The levels and stat levels of a player and a monster were different. There was something called [Strength of a stat] that varied depending on someone’s race and unique bloodlines.
Players were all the same because, well, they were players. However, within the tower, the stats of a native and the stats of an intelligent monster like a goblin’s stats strengths would be different.
Even Unity, who possessed three stat points in each of her stats, was stronger than any higher-level monster in all aspects thanks to the unique strength of her stats.
Here as well, the goat that they were facing right now was strong in all aspects, but its strength of stat wasn’t as high as the players.
While it was strong and possessed Mana as well as skills that were obviously related to fire, Zyon knew if they played their cards right, they could take the creature down with proper strategy.
’Had Iz been here, they would have taken down this thing already.’
He was no great strategist and he wasn’t as great a team leader as Isah. His main role even when they were playing the game used to be Frontline operator.
He was good when facing the challenges head on, something that wasn’t enough when you are in charge of tens of other people as well.
’I’ve learned quite a lot from both of them...’
Many of the strategies that Zyon used throughout their expedition this time, the tactics that he used, as well as the knowledge he had, came from the two of them.
He was an amalgamation of the two of them, their parents, and his experiences.
And that was also a reason he knew he could do this... that there was a possibility that this creature would not be impossible to defeat.
"The creature, as difficult as it may be, isn’t an adult," Zyon explained to his team, his voice full of confidence and certainty.
"As you might be able to tell as well, even though the goat looks to be of adult size, it doesn’t have a matured eye, making it an adolescent with much lower stat strength."
There was a subtle difference between an adult and a non-adult goat of their kind: the adults had a colorful under-eye shade.
The colourful under eye shade was the proof that they had gone through a rite of passage that their kind experience after a certain age, and when that happens, they get full control over their own flames.
"Since this one isn’t an adult, the chances of it making a mistake while handling its fire is higher as well."
While the creature was a flamethrower and a nightmare, it only obtained complete fire immunity after reaching a certain stat value in its unique stat [Blaze].
"If we can circle around the creature, engage it in a battle of attrition, and drag the fight for a while, we should be able to get its health down a little.
What I want everyone to do is to just engage it one by one without getting hurt too much.
We must maintain the distance appropriately. This plan will only work if you all do as I say."
Zyon did not have absolute authority over the raid team. He was merely the captain while there were many of the A2P2 officials among the team who were there to assess his performances.
The professor also had a say in the overall strategy, however his inexperience in certain aspects related to the game made him inappropriate for many important decisions.
"Captain... doesn’t that put you and professor in a higher danger though?" The plan that Ziggy was suggesting wasn’t foolproof.
While he was asking the rest of them to be safe, the plan that he explained to them in detail put him in the most danger.
He was telling them that he would take the lead and fight the creature head on when the time comes, which was nothing less than suicide.
When one fights against something so dangerous, something that while young, had the power to incinerate them, they cannot just go face to face with it and swing their swords.
The players knew for a matter of fact just how strong the hide of these creatures was. They were not simple creatures, the craftsmen made armor with their hide.
No sword should be able to cut through it. Even if he possessed Aura, it was simply too risky.
"Do not worry. I am not going to be the one to kill that one." The goat was tall and its four legs were muscular. Even though it was young, it must still be older than most of the present.
It was a creature that lived in a desert oasis, absorbing the heat of the desert and converting it into flames. They were weak only against powerful water or ice elemental attacks... but they did not have an Elementalist summoner that had a water spirit to produce the required firepower to take this thing down.
That’s why Zyon’s plan was to take the creature down with its own flames that it would fail to control.
"That young one will be the one killing itself."
The plan was risky. If they made any mistakes, the creature will undoubtedly kill every single one of their party members and they will be done for.
He did not want that, of course. So, he was going to do everything to prevent the worst case scenario.
"Oh, just in case..."
Everyone was in their position after believing in their captain and getting the approval of A2P2 officials when Zyon pulled out something unexpected from his inventory.
"Please use this, professor."
They were surprised to see that thing here, on the very first floor.
However, with the presence of this special item, they knew the chances of them getting a positive result had increased severalfold.
"Let us take the GOAT down, everyone."
Now, only the results are going to tell whether the final outcome is the clearance of the first floor... or an increase in Tower Challenger’s death toll.
