Chapter 27: Ch 27: The Divine Treasury
After receiving the rewards, Ye Tian fell into deep thought.
His current situation was, to put it simply, frustrating. Despite his efforts, he hadn’t even reached the first step of cultivation.
All he had done was rid his body of impurities and unblock his meridians... barely enough to start cultivating.
Right now, he was powerless.
For someone who had once ruled over countless realms, this state of helplessness gnawed at his pride.
The sensation of being mortal, of having a fragile and limited body, was foreign and unpleasant.
"How long will it take to recover my strength?" he muttered, his fists tightening.
For now, he had to prioritize survival. The best course of action was clear.
"I need a weapon..." he declared softly, his voice carrying a tone of determination.
Ye Tian let out a breath and gathered his thoughts.
"Well, there’s no point wasting time."
"System... was it? I wish to use the ticket."
The response was immediate.
---
[Confirming Player Ye Tian’s request.]
[The Ticket to Divine Treasury has been used.]
[Teleporting Player Ye Tian to the Divine Treasury.]
---
Suddenly, shimmering particles began to materialize around him.
Ye Tian’s sharp senses detected something unusual about these particles.
They didn’t feel like mana... there was a faint, nostalgic familiarity to them.
He narrowed his eyes.
"Divine Qi?"
Divine Qi was a power so pure and absolute that only beings who had surpassed immortality and entered transcendence could wield it.
It was capable of bending the fabric of reality and altering the fundamental laws of existence.
But something felt off.
"This isn’t true Divine Qi..." Ye Tian muttered.
"It’s... incomplete. Like mana. A degraded imitation of the real thing."
He smirked faintly.
"Well, I suppose ’Divine Mana’ is a fitting name for this imposter energy."
The Divine Mana coiled around him, enveloping his body like a cocoon.
It radiated warmth and power, manipulating the laws of nature to create a ripple in time and space.
Before he could dwell on the sensation further, his form vanished.
When Ye Tian opened his eyes, the world around him had transformed.
The mana-less, mundane environment of Earth was gone.
Now, he stood in a space so saturated with Divine Mana that it felt like he was submerged in an ocean of energy.
He inhaled deeply, savoring the sensation.
"This... this is more like it."
Looking around, he realized he was standing on what appeared to be liquid starlight.
The surface rippled like water but solidified into a sturdy foothold the moment his weight pressed down on it.
The vast expanse stretched infinitely in all directions.
Stars, galaxies, and constellations danced in the distance, creating a breathtaking cosmic display.
Ye Tian took another deep breath, his smirk returning.
"This isn’t just some treasure room. This is the private domain of a peak-stage Transcendent... someone who’s carved out their own realm in the cosmos."
In the distance, a glowing hallway caught his attention.
It radiated an ethereal light, beckoning him forward like a beacon.
Without hesitation, Ye Tian began walking toward it.
The hall appeared far away at first, but the distance closed rapidly, almost unnaturally.
It was as though the space between him and the hall compressed with each step he took.
"Spatial distortion..." Ye Tian muttered.
"Impressive. But not enough to surprise me."
When he reached the entrance of the hall, the atmosphere shifted dramatically.
The moment his foot crossed the threshold, a crushing pressure descended upon him.
It wasn’t physical... it was spiritual, a force designed to test the very essence of his being.
For any ordinary mortal, this pressure would have been suffocating, enough to crush their soul.
But Ye Tian didn’t even flinch.
"Pathetic..." he muttered, his smirk widening.
His body might have been mortal, but his soul? His soul was that of a supreme being, unshaken by such trivial challenges.
With each step forward, the pressure intensified.
For anyone else, each step would have been a grueling ordeal, but for Ye Tian, it felt like nothing more than a faint breeze.
Finally, after 100 steps, he reached the end of the hall.
The system activated.
---
[Player Ye Tian has successfully passed the Test of Divine Weapons, completing 100/100 steps. You are the first to do so.]
[As a result, hidden conditions have been met!]
[You have obtained the title: "Master of All Divine Relics."]
---
Ye Tian chuckled softly.
"’Master of All Divine Relics,’ huh? Not bad."
The atmosphere changed once again.
Weapons began materializing in the air, their forms shimmering into existence.
To his left, divine weapons radiated celestial energy... swords, spears, and bows forged from pure light.
To his right, demonic weapons pulsed with malevolent power... shadowy blades, cursed axes, and staffs crackling with dark energy.
Each weapon exuded its own distinct aura, filling the space with an overwhelming power that made the air hum.
For as far as Ye Tian’s eyes could see, the passageway was lined with these armaments.
The sheer number was staggering, their combined presence enough to make even seasoned warriors tremble.
But Ye Tian remained unimpressed
"I expected nothing less," he said, his tone casual.
Then, the system spoke again.
---
[The Hidden Artifact is revealing itself...]
---
At the far end of the passage, a new presence began to stir.
The energy in the hall churned violently as Divine Mana converged at a single point.
Ye Tian’s gaze sharpened.
The artifact’s aura eclipsed that of every other weapon in the room. It felt ancient, sentient, and unimaginably powerful.
The ground trembled beneath him, and the air grew thick with tension.
And then... nothing.
Despite the build-up, the artifact didn’t appear.
The energy remained stagnant, and the aura didn’t change.
Ye Tian frowned.
"Seriously?" he muttered.
He had no choice but to keep walking, inspecting the relics one by one.
"I guess the best ones are always at the end..."
he said with a smirk, his crimson eyes glinting faintly as he continued down the infinite passageway.
