Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared
Chapter 860: Immortality versus Immortality

Chapter 860: Chapter 860: Immortality versus Immortality

A dark alley, a perfect setting for nefarious deeds, Blood Wolf had already bared his fangs and then bit into someone’s neck.

The man cried out a few times, but soon his voice faded away. He struggled a few times, unable to escape; he felt his blood and life being drained and, in despair, he closed his eyes.

Blood Wolf, satiated from his meal, then tossed the man aside as if he were discarding trash.

It was then that Qiao Ya arrived behind Blood Wolf and looked upon the messy scene with dissatisfaction. "Blood Wolf, I’m asking you not to be reckless. This can draw unnecessary attention and cause trouble for us," Qiao Ya said.

"If there’s trouble, I’ll take care of it. What are you afraid of? Besides, members of the Xue Clan are coming, and soon this place will be under our control," Blood Wolf replied with arrogance, not taking the situation seriously.

Qiao Ya, however, was still concerned. "This city is not as simple as you think. There are many formidable figures here that you can’t deal with. Don’t show off too much," he warned.

Upon hearing this, Blood Wolf was unhappy. "Do I need you to tell me what to do?" he said, his demeanor turning fierce, as if he were ready to attack.

However, Qiao Ya was not at all rattled. According to the rules of Organization X, as long as Qiao Ya hadn’t acted against the organization’s interests, even Blood Wolf, born of the Xue Clan, couldn’t lay a finger on him without facing severe consequences from Organization X.

Blood Wolf was also aware of Organization X’s rules. After calming down, he collected himself and put on a smile. "Qiao Ya, I’ve always seen potential in you and, I know you aspire to become like me, a member of the Xue Clan. I’d be happy to help with that. I think you can apply now, and I’ll even put in a good word to expedite your transformation," he offered.

Hearing this, Qiao Ya was tempted; this was exactly what he wanted. But he knew well that there’s no such thing as a free lunch. Blood Wolf making such an offer meant he expected Qiao Ya to turn a blind eye to his actions.

Qiao Ya showed a look of difficulty. "Blood Wolf, I appreciate your kind offer, but I must act according to the organization’s orders. Please don’t make things difficult for me," he implored.

"Suit yourself!" Blood Wolf showed an expression of disgust and even turned away, not wanting to give Qiao Ya another glance.

The situation became rather awkward, and Qiao Ya didn’t want to linger. Before leaving, he said, "Remember my words, Blood Wolf. There are many powerful figures here. It’s better to keep a low profile, at least until the rest of the Xue Clan arrives. Then you can do whatever you want."

Blood Wolf didn’t reply but snorted coldly after Qiao Ya had gone. "Such a coward. I really don’t see what the organization sees in that guy."

At that moment, another person entered the dark alley. He glanced at Blood Wolf and then at the man lying on the ground. Surprised, he frowned and asked, "Did you do this?"

"Of course, I did," Blood Wolf admitted boldly, then pounced on the man, biting his neck and began to feed voraciously.

Strangely enough, the man did not scream in terror, nor did he struggle. Instead, he quietly allowed Blood Wolf to harm him.

Blood Wolf sensed something unusual but didn’t think much of it, desperately sucking the man’s blood. When he had had his fill, he tossed the man aside.

After eating and drinking his fill, feeling completely satisfied, Xue Lang stretched his arms and yawned, looking down at the two people lying on the ground. The feeling of having control over life and death was truly wonderful. Xue Lang couldn’t help but say, "It’s funny how they say this city has several extraordinary people, that I should be careful. But I’m from the Xue Clan, do I need to be afraid?"

"Oh, so you’re from the Xue Clan, huh?" A voice that shouldn’t have sounded suddenly did. The man who had just fallen rose again, his face relaxed and composed, and right in front of Xue Lang, he slowly brushed the dirt off his body, showing no sense of crisis whatsoever.

"You, how can you?" Xue Lang remembered clearly that he had drained the man’s blood. Why could the man stand up as if nothing had happened? Wait, the bite marks on his neck were gone as well.

Xue Lang didn’t know who the man was, but if he could heal his injuries just like himself, he was certainly not ordinary.

At that moment, Xue Lang remembered what Qiao Ya had said, that there were a few formidable people in this place that Xue Lang might not be able to handle.

"Could this guy be..." A chill ran through Xue Lang’s heart, as he thought that his luck couldn’t be so bad, to have run into a tough opponent so quickly.

Zhuo Hang smiled faintly, "Su Hui told me that she had encountered vampires abroad and suspected that the recent missing cases were likely the work of a vampire. So, I started checking foreigners who had recently entered the country, and then I set my sights on you. How about that, surprised or not?"

"Set your sights on me, you think you can capture me? Do you have the ability?" Although Xue Lang spoke with bravado, his body trembled slightly because in terms of momentum, he was completely overshadowed by Zhuo Hang.

Zhuo Hang’s expression darkened, "Alright, I don’t want to waste time with you. Are you going to surrender yourself, or should I make you?"

"Pfft, you think I’ll just surrender? Dream on." Xue Lang lunged again, confident in his superior speed.

Just as Xue Lang was about to reach Zhuo Hang with his speed, Zhuo Hang’s figure flickered and then vanished from his view.

"What, faster than me?" Xue Lang couldn’t believe it. Then he noticed someone nearby and as he turned around, he saw a fist hurtling toward him.

With one punch, Zhuo Hang sent Xue Lang flying, crashing into the wall and leaving him dazed and unable to stand.

After just one exchange, Xue Lang was filled with panic. He had clearly understood the gap in strength between them; whether it was strength or speed, he was far behind.

But no matter, Xue Lang believed in his regenerative abilities to heal his wounds in a short time. So, he struggled to his feet, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, and then made a fierce declaration, "You do have some skills. Just now, I wasn’t paying attention. From now on, that won’t happen again..."

With another punch, Zhuo Hang quickly moved in, not holding back as he sent Xue Lang flying once more, adding, "If you won’t give up or surrender, what’s the point of all that useless talk?"

"Damn it, bastard!" Half of Xue Lang’s face swelled up, he was extremely furious and frustrated, but helpless since he couldn’t win the fight.

Without a care, Zhuo Hang said, "Alright, you should understand by now that you’re no match for me, so what will it be, resist or surrender? Of course, I don’t mind warming up a bit more."
