The pirate leader began to curse and rage. He was especially furious when he saw that Xiaohu was actually tied up with Gu Fan and Lin Xi, almost seething with anger.

Xiaohu, faced with the pirate leader’s fierce gaze, trembled with deep-rooted fear. Gu Fan tightened his grip on Xiaohu’s hand to reassure him: "Don’t worry. I promised to take you home, and I always keep my words."

Lin Xi mentioned, "Gu Fan, I can’t keep up the Protective Barrier indefinitely. If the pirates don’t shoot, I will be powerless."

Gu Fan understood that Lin Xi’s power was limited. They had to exhaust the enemies’ bullets before Lin Xi’s power was depleted. So, Gu Fan picked up a gun from the ground and aimed at the pirates.

Seeing this, the pirate leader ordered his men to fire back immediately. Dozens of guns fired at once, the gunfire was so deafening that even Su Hui could hear the commotion.

Countless bullets flew towards them, but they were all blocked by Lin Xi’s Protective Barrier. Lin Xi and Gu Fan were at ease, while Xiaohu moved from fear to incredulity. He came to understand why Gu Fan was so confident.

Gu Fan pulled Xiaohu over and had Xiaohu ask the pirate leader a question: what was their purpose in coming here?

The pirate leader was hesitant and unwilling to speak. However, in Lin Xi’s eyes, he had no choice. Lin Xi grabbed the pirate leader’s throat and pumped her supernatural power into it, choking him until he was gasping for air.
