"Just what I was afraid of, huh?" Gu Fan felt a pang in his heart, but he put on an unaffected front and greeted the big boss with a casual nod, "Hey big boss, long time no see. You’re looking more vibrant than ever."

"Thanks for the compliment. I would have been even better if you hadn’t made me wait in this bitter wind for so long. How do you plan to compensate me?" The big boss’s tone was mild, but his gaze hinted at his annoyance.

Gu Fan scratched his head, looking troubled, "Big boss, I figured you’ve been too busy dealing with the Lei Family to bother with me, no?"

"Dealing with the Lei family isn’t urgent..." The big boss hadn’t even finished when Gu Fan interjected: "But even if you did find the Lei Family, would they necessarily side with you? So, you decided to settle things with us first and once the bigger picture becomes clear, then go after the Lei Family."

Hearing this, the big boss paused before a smile of admiration crept across his face, "Gu Fan, you’re really smart. You guessed it right."

In response, Gu Fan nodded, "As long as I can guess it, I will definitely have a countermeasure prepared. You miscalculated your moves, big boss."

"What countermeasure?" The big boss got intrigued. Seeing Gu Fan’s composed demeanor, he realized that he wasn’t just bluffing.

Gu Fan held up three fingers and continued, "Originally, the three factions were balanced and effectively kept each other in check. But you, big boss, want to break this balance, there will certainly be chaos. To prevent this chaos, I made two preparations. Firstly, if you are the one who breaks the balance, I’ll have Lin Xi go find Shennv Xuanhui to jointly deal with you."

But Gu Fan explained, "This old-style phone was specially prepared for emergencies. It allows me to send messages to Lin Xi while I’m talking to people without them noticing, which makes it easy for me to alert her."

Hearing this, the big boss had a moment of revelation, "No wonder your hand has been stuck in your pocket all this time. I thought you were just cold."

"Just a coincidence." Gu Fan responded calmly. His phone had just happened to be in for repair, so he was using this old one in the meantime, and amusingly enough, the big boss had bought it.

Gu Fan continued, "If I disappear, Lin Xi will definitely know it’s your doing, big boss. In that case, she would team up with Shennv Xuanhui to fight back. You might be the first one out of the game amongst the three factions."

Upon hearing this, the big boss let out a cold humph, "Don’t forget, I am immortal. Even if you all come together, you can’t harm me."

Gu Fan shook his head, "Even if we can’t harm you, we can harm your subordinates. Without them, no matter how powerful you are, you can’t do anything."

Hearing this, the big boss felt a tad heavy. The situation could indeed develop as Gu Fan suggested.

"Alright, let’s call it a night and avoid causing further disturbances. Let’s maintain the balance and not break it without careful thought." After saying this, Gu Fan walked past the big boss.

The big boss didn’t attempt to stop him. Firstly because he wasn’t scared, but more importantly, he was smart enough not to act impulsively once his moves had been exposed, which would risk losing the opportunity altogether. The big boss had a generous look on his face, "If you need a job, you should have told me earlier. I could arrange for you to work at the Elite Club, or have its members help you find a job, or even invest directly to help you start a business."
