Summer vacation hadn’t ended yet. After returning from Yuxueyun Mountain, everyone busied themselves with rest and leisure while also preparing for the new semester.

Su Hui sat in the living room, bored and watching TV. It was a big old house and she was the only one in it. She couldn’t blame them; Gu Fan only had eyes for Lin Xi nowadays. He wished he could spend every minute of the day with her, so how could he possibly be at home at this time?

Though Gu Fan and Lin Xi had invited Su Hui to hang out with them, she declined, citing a busy workload. She really couldn’t make the time.

When the door opened, a high school-aged girl walked in. As soon as she entered the room, she noticed Su Hui, her big eyes bulging as if she couldn’t believe there was a strange woman in the house.

"You are..." Seeing the keys in the girl’s hand, Su Hui had a rough guess as to her identity.

"No way, you’re so beautiful." The high school girl couldn’t help but exclaim in adoration before saying something that surprised Su Hui: "You’re so pretty, you must be my sister-in-law."

Upon hearing this, Su Hui quickly corrected her, "No, no, you’re mistaken, little girl, I’m not your sister-in-law."

But the high school girl didn’t seem to care, she rushed over and grabbed Su Hui’s hand, acting as if they were long-lost friends: "No, I have a feeling, you are my sister-in-law."

"Where on earth did you get such a premonition, you silly girl?" Su Hui didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Despite her protests, the high school girl looked dead serious, as if Su Hui was really going to become her sister-in-law.

Su Hui tried explaining once again, but the high school girl was adamant: "No, no, no, you are my sister-in-law, I don’t care, you’re my sister-in-law."

The reason for Lin Xi’s upset was because this high school girl had been so presumptuous as to call Su Hui sister-in-law, and with such familiarity at that.

The high school girl quickly adopted a respectful demeanor: "Hello, future sister-in-law. My name is Gu Ling, Gu Fan’s sister. I look forward to your care in the future."

"Hmm!" With a nod of her head and a powerful look in her phoenix eyes, Lin Xi seemed to still hold some resentment towards Gu Ling for calling Su Hui sister-in-law.

Noticing the tension, Su Hui quickly tried to change the subject: "Lin Xi, did you bring the things I asked for?"

"I brought them, but I’m not sure if they’re what you wanted." Lin Xi quickly brought the items over to Su Hui, who was delighted: "Yes! That’s exactly it!"

Seeing Lin Xi and Su Hui chatting, Gu Ling seized the opportunity to whisper to Gu Fan: "Brother, what’s the deal here? Since when did we have two beauties at home? Mom and Dad let you live here alone, not so you could keep two beauties hidden away. You’re doing all this behind their backs, I’m going to report you."

Hearing this, Gu Fan was exasperated and he gave Gu Ling’s ear a twist, saying sternly: "You little troublemaker, you just got back and you’re already causing trouble for me. How could you wrongly call someone sister-in-law, you almost upset your real future sister-in-law."
